This experience was easily one of the coolest things I have ever done. After looking for something exciting to do while I was visiting Texas for work I came across IFly and decided why not. I booked my reservation online and waited in anticipation all day until 7:30 rolled around. You have to arrive an hour earlier than your reservation in order to go through the proper training before entering the tunnel. Once in the training room my instructor had me watch a video that explains everything I needed to know from start to finish and then he came back in to go over some hand signals being you can't hear a thing once inside, its your only form of communication. Once all of that was handled it was time to get suited up. The outfits are not the most flattering but you have to wear it. They provide you with goggles, a helmet and jump suit. Now it was time to fly. We walked into the waiting tunnel and after two other people went it was my turn. I was super nervous at first but just as my instructor told me its important to breath and relax in order to enjoy your experience and once I did that I had a blast. My instructor was in there with me the whole time and made me feel really at ease. He guided me every step of the way and communicated with me using the hand signals so I always knew what to do. I paid for the option of the high flight that the instructor takes you pretty much to the top of the tunnel and I highly encourage people to experience that. Sure the normal height is fun but the high flight was an incredible experience. I ended up going back in one last time for an additional $20 because I just couldn't get enough. The best way to describe the feeling is like floating in a pool, just with a lot of wind. If you get the chance to go to IFly I strongly encourage you to do it. I don't think I've ever had a better experience at a place like this...EVER. My son and I visited for the first time with a few friends on a Sunday evening. Check in was a breeze. Counter attendants were really nice and personable. After we got checked in, we decided to go for the high-fly and paid the extra $10 per person. After checking, we walked upstairs (they have an elevator) and was surprised to find there's only one tube in that entire place. Considering the size of the building, we were expecting 2 or more but no biggie. It made for an intimate setting. Seating was comfortable and plentiful, set up around the tube and against the walls. The place is very clean and tastefully furnished. Our training took place in a small room off the main area. Our instructor was Boo. This guy is mesmerizing. Yeah he's cute but that's not what I mean. His personality is ummmm, I can't describe....magnetic? Instantly likable, very confident, funny, energetic, great eye contact. You could tell he'd been at this for a while but he was totally hyped about what he was doing. Shining example of someone that loves their job. After training, we suited up. Boo explained what was to happen next. My group all flew - I did not. It was amazing to see humans flying through the air! With each session, the instructors put on a flying show. Those guys are INCREDIBLE! Definitely something to see. My son struggled quite a bit and wasn't able to get all of his flight time in. As we were closing out our visit, Boo spoke with the facility manager about him. I didn't complain nor expect to be reimbursed for his flight. These type of places are usually at your own risk right? The manager, Vanessa, returned the $10 I paid for his high-fly AND gave us a complementary visit for him to return and try again. I can't express how touched I was by the gesture. My son has a life challenge and sometimes struggles with communicating. Boo was very sensitive to this. We had a full class so I understood why he couldn't slow down for my son but he made sure we got the opportunity to come back. This place has definitely earned a life-long customer. Our iFLY experience was really good overall. They make it easy to make your appointment online, then once you get there you can check in and sign all your waivers electronically at the computers in the lobby. Once you do that you can head upstairs and watch people fly while you wait for your training (if you're a no0b like me). The basic training is pretty easy to understand: hand signals and body positioning mostly. iFLY is definitely a unique experience - it would make a fun date, or somewhere interesting to take your out-of-town guests. The only things I didn't necessarily enjoy about iFLY is first, the size of the parking lot (tiny). Second, the non-discounted price is a little high for me, then I felt a bit nickel-and-dimed when I got there and they offered me the 'high fly' option. Even as a beginner, the whole experience would have been a little boring without the 'high fly' option (wherein they crank up the air on your 2nd flight so you and the instructor go much higher up in the tunnel) so FOR SURE get it but just beware that it's an extra $10pp. Tip: If you're a costco member they sell discounted vouchers there. read more

Our instructor was Michael. He was super funny and easy on the eyes ;). Went with a group of classmates because one of the girls got a discount through her job. It was the same discount as the $40 deal at the Costco next door. We had a 2 hour wait but they let us leave so it that was awesome. We just had to be back 30 mins before our time slot to watch the video and learn the hand signals. My friend daughters were visting from Europe, and Tiffany went above and beyond her call of duty to help me booked our trip to ifly. An absolute must try for friends and family visiting from out of town. The whole experience from start to finish was fast, easy, and very professional. We each decided to do two 2-minute flight with the high fly add on. By going with the 2-minute flights, we were able to spend time adjusting our skills mid-flight. Our instructor, Ryan, was patient and worked really well with us. He gave us tips on how to improve our experience. Booking and planning is easy. So much fun! This is definitely a place to come to face your fears. I came with a party of 9 and we all had a blast. It looks scary and sounds scary but once you are in the wind tunnel it is extremely fun. Your minute in there really feels way longer. I would recommend to go in at least twice because your second time you will definitely be better than the first. They provide all the gear and training. The instructor was super nice and helpful. He made sure that we all had our gear on correctly before going in. While you are in the wind tunnel the instructor will let you know how to fix your form so you can fly better. Came here after trying skydiving at skydive Spaceland. It was recommended I try it by a strong and dandy tandem instructor by the name of Hank. He recommended I go into Ifly with a strong Jesus looking guy. It was such a fun experience his strong body lifted me up and down in the tunnel. She worked downstairs checking customers in on 8/6/2020 around 5:30 pm. Y'all definitely need to address that because she had me wanting to fight her as soon as I arrived. You could totally get addicted to this place. You will start out with a brief classroom training. Then you will get suited up. Be sure not to wear sandals or they will need to loan you some shoes, all jewelry will need to be removed. But don't worry they have lockers there for your stuff. Once in, it is loud, but just watch your instructors hand signals and you will do fine. I have been skydiving before but I enjoyed this more because you can focus on your own ability to control your glide. They also offer a high fly for $10 which is an amazing feeling. The instructor is able to go up with you and get you higher. Stay to watch the instructors demo and be amazed. read more

This is a fun activity however registration for groups has been problematic for my school. We called to make the reservation and now they can't seem to find us on their books! We had the same problem last year. We have been waiting with no explanation from anyone here. I was told a manager was coming to help but that was 15 minutes ago. I am at the counter and no one has acknowledged me since I talked to the first person. If bringing a group call the day ahead to verify the company has their side ready or plan another event! Thankfully they've now found the reservation but instead of the 10:00 we originally booked we're in at 11:00am. Kids are very excited! The worst service ever, we had an appointment , which we unfortunately missed, we were then rescheduled, we drove the whole 1.5 hour drive here AGAIN , just to find out the male who rescheduled us is incompetent and didn't really reschedule us now we have another 1.5 hour drive back home because they won't accommodate us and fit us in. I came here for a private party hosted by my employers and had an absolute blast! People were present to greet me from the moment I walked in and helped to escort me up to the private suites on the third floor which were a perfect size for our group. The room had food (I'm not sure if iFly provided this or our employers brought it in...but at least we know now that food is allowed!) and a TV where you can watch fliers on the second floor doing their thing. When it was time for my flight with my group, a nice young lady came up and took us down to the 2nd floor where we received a brief 5-6 minute instructional video on what iFly is all about and exactly what we needed to do when taking flight. Then the instructor came back in to go over hand signals and welcomed us onto to the flight floor. There, we got our suits, helmets, earplugs, and glasses. Then we were taken into the flight tunnel and sat to wait our turn. I felt super important and a little uneasy at the same time, but the flight instructors are so fun that they make you feel right at home and make you feel like you literally are the best indoor skydiver ever. Inside the flight tunnel itself is literally the coolest feeling ever. My group got two rounds. One, where we basically get to fly by ourselves- but of course with the instructor standing inside to make sure your movements are correct. And then the second flight, the instructor takes you farther up into the tunnel and spins you around several times. Fortunately, I did very on my first flight and somehow managed to accurately position myself high up in the flight tunnel myself, so this was an added perk. There's really nothing to it as long as you follow instructions and let yourself go! So glad I can now say: I FLEW! (And you should too!) read more

This place is more expensive than you would think for somewhere that doesn't actually have you jumping out of a plane. Still it is worth it. The staff is really friendly. I think a lot of people get cold feet, but they don't mind and are pretty good at coaching you through even the harder parts, with a lot of patience. My one complaint of that sometimes they get a little understaffed and you have to wait for a few minutes, but it's not very long, and pause gives you some time to think about what you're gonna do. read more

All my 3 kids (13, 12, and 10) gave a bad rating to the iFLY in Houston. They don't like the way the instructor (Ivan) holding them hostage trying to rid off they parents. They don't like the way the instructor speaks and acts. They were forced to seat in the staging area for more than 30 minutes to watch other kids fly and the instructor was kept asking the parents to pay more to let them flight for extra minutes. The hubs got a pair of tickets from a student, and we decided to up our date-night game and try our hand at indoor sky diving. Neither of us are fans of heights, and actual skydiving is out of the question for us. However, the thought doing skydiving inside, with an instructor and in a controlled environment, was intriguing. So we made an appointment online, and showed up an hour before our scheduled flight time (I'd recommend 45 minutes early, an hour was a bit extreme). When we arrived, you check in on the computer screen and then proceed to the front desk to complete sign in. We opted to add the high-flyer package on, which means that in the second go round the instructor flys you up to the top of the chamber - very cool. Our instructor Rob was amazing, very friendly and helpful, and made the whole process much more enjoyable- especially if you're nervous about floating on air! I also appreciate that the photos and video they offer for sale aren't as pricey as amusement park options- hubs and I bought our videos for ~$8 apiece, $17 total. Great way to share with family and friends that you're not an old married couple yet! We will definitely be back! read more

To say we had a disappointing experience is putting it mildly. Our MIL gave us a $300 gift certificate for our family of 4 to try indoor skydiving. We booked a "10 flight package" Assuming we could divide those flights up between us. When we got there, we learned that this was only for two people, and they would not allow us to divide this up between the four of us. We ended up letting our two children get 3, 1-minute and 40 second flights each. Why we couldn't have divided the six flights up between the four of us, I still don't understand. While the instructor was nice, I felt they could have offered up better customer service given how expensive this experience is. The kids had fun, but only half of our family got to experience the flight. A pretty costly package for 10 minutes. I guess demand is high enough that they don't have to cater to guests. read more

We loved our experience when we came here for my hubby's bday this past December. Our instructor was great at making sure we were all at ease and tried to make us all feel as comfy as possible. Make sure you tip those instructors! They work hard. We opted to pay a little extra to get the second flight upgraded to include some tricks with the instructor. It was worth it! Spent an incredible birthday here with my husband and our 4 year old daughter. Our little girl was afraid and was just planning on sitting on the bench dressed in a flight suit. JDF (Jason) was awesome, somehow he patiently coaxed her off the bench and into the wind tunnel. She got more and more relaxed and had a blast. Now she wants to have her birthday at IFly Houston. If you have small children that might be afraid to try something new, request Jason/ JDF as an instructor, you will not be disappointed. This was a fun adventure. At IFly you can get the experience of "free falling" without actually jumping out of a plane. The instructors are great ! They make you feel really comfortable. It's recommended that you come at least 45 minutes earlier so that you can view a safety video, sign waivers and suit up. You need to try this at least once if you've never done it. Really cool experience. TIP: Book your time slot online and sign the waiver online instead of in person to make your check-in faster. read more

This place was so much fun!!! From the beginning to the end, the experience was outstanding. My daughter, a 6yo, had been talking about going to iFLY for weeks. Finally decided to bring her and we were lucky enough to find a spot for the next group. The staff was extremely helpful during the whole deal. We had an intro class and then had my daughter get into her gear. Her instructor made sure she was all geared up a d ready to go. It was amazing to see her pretty much flying with the help of the instructor. The instructor made sure she felt safe while doing all the different drills. Absolutely awesome! My mother bought a flight for me for my 26th birthday and it was amazing. Our instructors were helpful, knowledgeable, and generally super cool (and let me just say, I don't know what modeling agency iFly uses for instructors, but keep it up!). I added the high flight while I was waiting, and I definitely recommend it. I want to do it again and the only thing holding me back is the price.
