This would be my 3rd time experiencing ifly; 1st time in Houston. If you want to sky dive without actually jumping out of a plane; this is your next best thing. After checking in, we headed upstairs put our things in a locker, received flight gear and headed into a room for a quick video and introduction to our guide; Malcolm! He went over what to expect, hand gestures and answered questions. Going into the tunnel can be a lil intimidating with wind up to 100mph. I had 3 flights and opted for the ifly (which was about $40 more). Ifly is where your instructor takes you higher than normal. The staff was helpful and friendly! Solid four stars. My son and nieces had a great time along with my brother-in-law. If you're looking for something very cool to do for your kids any age really take them here. It's a very cool experience for all kids and adults really. We have been meaning to do this for a long time and we had family come from out of town and we took them there and they absolutely enjoyed it. We will definitely be back soon. Experience: everyone seemed to really enjoy it and have a great time. Our instructor was great. He was so good we gave him a nice tip afterwards because I'm telling you right now he put on a show. This guy was an absolute professional and did a great job. Our package came with two videos and two pictures which was really cool. The overall experience like I said above was well worth the price of the tickets. Customer service: the people working the front desk were not that knowledgeable or friendly to be honest. That's why I'm giving four-star review. However the people that worked as instructors and everyone upstairs were absolute professionals. On a sister's trip, we decided to do something we had never done before. IFLY was amazing!! From beginning to end, my time there was amazing. It's an experience that can be expensive, but it's worth every penny. Our instructor was very informative, nice, and patient. I had never done it before and I'm completely terrified of heights, so yes, I was freaking out, but the instructor calmed my fears and did a little dance with me. We did 2 "jumps" and added the fly high. It was great. They take photos and videos of you while you do it (you must purchase them). I was told they're opening up a Nashville location and I can't wait to do it again. Definitely want to learn more about it all. You get a certificate at the end that tells you the things you were able to accomplish. So I feel like I'm a certified iFLY-er. read more

iFLY... what a great way to spend the afternoon! This was a family Christmas gift that our party of nine really enjoyed. When we booked, we were also offered an upgrade that included a private room, pizza and drinks, a "high flight" and video for each flier.... for an extra ten bucks a person. Not a bad deal. We bit. We had a great time overall and experienced only a few glitches - none of which originated from our flight instructor, Brock. He was amazing, very knowledgeable and patient with all of us - especially so with our youngest flier (4 years old). Some in our party were a little timid, maybe flat out scared, but each time we flew, our smiles got bigger and bigger. Brock made it fun and easy to understand and follow his commands. Regarding glitches - I'll share here so that if you're considering going, you'll have the scoop that we didn't. First, no need to arrive early. Your appointment or check in time allows for about 30 minutes to complete the waivers and make your way upstairs to the tunnel. Plenty of time. At about 30 minutes past your check in time, 330 for us, you are taken to a small training room where you view a training video, meet your flight instructor and review four hand signals that will be used to communicate in the tunnel. Once you complete this and are feeling comfortable, you'll suit up and enter the tunnel - then the fun begins! If you take advantage of the private room and pizza, it won't arrive until after you've completed your flights. Once you're in the tunnel, you will remain there until everyone in your party has flown. You enter and exit as a group. You can also choose pics and videos taken while in the tunnel. These are available for purchase or may come with your package, if you purchased one. Tons o fun. We had a blast and enjoyed the demos that each instructor does in between a group of flights. We had an amazing experience getting private lessons from Rory to fly high! My golden king and I both flew for 5 mins! I would highly recommend this activity to anyone wanting to skydive without all the extra intensity of jumping out of a plane! The staff is really friendly and helpful and showed us around before we decided to take flight! This was so much fun! I decided I wanted to try it and finally decided to go. I went during the week, which I recommend because I can only imagine how busy it gets on the weekend. I scheduled my time slot online and decided I wanted to capture this moment so I purchased the photo and video. So you get 2 opportunities to go into the wind tunnel but when I walked in to sign-in they said they had a special 1 video, 1 photo, and you get to do high flight and 2 more additional turns. So if you want to capture each turn you must purchase video and photo for each. Also, if you want to go higher on each turn you must purchase that as well. So I got all of it and I'm glad I did because it goes by so fast. I got to see the time slot before me take their turns while I waited for my turn and I felt a little bit more comfortable about my turn. You get an instructor throughout your experience and mine was amazing. He was very patient and encouraging and he showed off his cool skills at the end. You do have to watch a brief safety video but after you are geared up time for the experience. I thought this was something I would experience once but I may have changed my mind. read more

Decided last minute to try out Ifly while visiting Houston. My gr-daugnter did 3 flights, 2 at 1 minute and 1 at 2 minutes. She loved every second and we did pay extra for high flights each time. We find it somewhat expensive but worth it to do on vacation. Nothing we would do every weekend. At about 160 for 4 minutes it cost but the instructors were so pleasant and helpful. The experience and the staff is definitely 5 stars. This is an amazing place to have fun, I definitely recommend this place . If you have no fear of heights, this is a good experience. We did 4 flights which is nice and the crew are courteous to you. I also highly recommend doing the elevation and pay extra for it. Minus one star for me for 3 reasons: One , it's definitely pricey for a minute of experience but you forget it with the awesome experience. Second, I agree with one of the review - they don't pressure you but I also got caught off guard when they ask you to tip the instructor, with the price I would think that came with it. Lastly and more importantly - they instruct you to come at least 20 mins before your scheduled time, we got there 30 mins before our time but we did not fly until 1 hour later - there was a big group of party ahead of us (about 10 kids) , then there's another group of about people after (about8) - so the booking was overlapping. And I found out that you can ask for another minute extra of flight if you wish to pay - so that added to the wait time. My advice book on early schedule and I will not recommend buying their photo and video option - they did not capture good photos or video ( and the video clip was only 19 sec long) . Wow was this a lot of fun and an overall 5star experience! We took mom to fulfill a check on her bucket list at a strong, healthy and adventurous 68th years old. We couldn't believe she wanted to do this so we chose this location. It was a Friday at noon which was perfect. The lines were not long and we received service right away. They check you in and ensure you sign all waivers and risk documents. I did not it seemed they are breaking up the prices for regular flights and to add the high flight which takes up higher up the chamber. Yes it's a great experience but when I went a couple years ago I don't remember paying extra. They offer you a last chance to add it once your in the chamber on your 2nd round and you can pay afterwards. They have a smooth efficient process for training, suiting up up and getting groups on time for each session. I loved our instructor (forgot his name). He was passionate, upbeat and made each flyer feel like this was going to be an awesome experience even though he probably says this all the time. The checkout process was also very efficient where you scan your wrist code and can see your own picture and video for purchase. Thank you for allowing spectators and permission to video and take pics. I hope they never take this away because their videos are nice but I captured over 50 plus pics that they wood have never got. We still bought pics because they had the ifly logo on them. 5/5 for this group! read more

Save money by buying a voucher at Sam's club which saves 30 dollars per person. Although if you have a party of 4 or more. It is a hassle for the price of saving money. The customer service would be like a "Groupon" experience. The process was first explained to book online and call for additional flyers . Then they changed it and said it had to be before you finished booking which doesn't make sense cause what confirmation code would I have?? now we have to change a graduation event plan...sigh I would cancel the whole thing but it's non refundable And no compensation for inconvenience this far. After my visit and paying over $100 for 120 seconds flight time and during check out the instructor asked if I'd like to leave a tip. There's no computer % option to add or decline as they have to enter it in the system. This is awkward and unnecessary given the high cost. The instructors should be compensated fairly without requiring a tip. It was fun but the awkwardness left a bitter taste after. I won't return. read more

IMO as a non-skydiver, it was a tad bit expensive but worth a try just to say you did it. You can get different packages, but I think you fly for at least a minute. It is harder than it looks. Don't work out your arms before going, because you will feel it! I don't think I would go again but am happy I tried. I wish they gave me more formation training outside of the wind tunnel. Our instructor and all the staff were friendly and helpful. They have a very extensive waiver that you must sign otherwise you won't be allowed to fly. Also, they take a short video and a few photos of you that you can choose to purchase. But I would bring someone not flying with you to take videos/photos. Overall, I had a fun time. read more

We booked our flights a week in advance for the Memorial Day weekend. Five hours before our flight iFly called up and cancelled us due to staffing issues. The only accommodation offered was a $20 credit towards some kind of upgrade to a future flight... which of course we will never book because why would we if they can just cancel us for whatever reason on short notice? Book at your own risk I guess. PSA: If you have asthma that is triggered by wind/cold air, this could give you problems. ----- I was given a fly session as a birthday present and unsure what to expect. It sounds a little...tame? Compared to jumping out of an airplane -- but also a lot less scary. Our trainer Markus was great. Very focused on giving good directions. Overall, it's harder than it looks. People with a strong core would do better as you have to focus on your body shape and small adjustments in your arms and legs can cause large changes in direction. The photos were hit or miss. I didn't like any of them, but the video is pretty fun to have. read more

For the past two years I've been wanting to visit this place but never had the luxury to plan in advance.(Reservations are required) I finally went this Saturday as a pre-birthday celebration and it was everything I imagined. You literally feel like your floating (not falling). The only issue I had was not being able to breathe originally with the open face helmet. I highly suggest wearing a closed face helmet of your asthmatic or can't handle air blowing in your face. (Simple fix) Here are the reasons why I recommend iFly for a good time. 6. They provide all of your gear: earplugs, googles, helmets, and a body suit. 5. They have lounge space and group rates for parties/events. 4. There are free lockers for your belongings. 3. The staff is very personable and professional. 2. You have the option to have your flight recorded. 1. The overall experience of floating on air is liberating and amazing. We came here for my 40th birthday. I was going to skydive in Galveston but the weather was awful so we decided to try this place out for the first time. We booked the family package online the night before for our family of 4. I thought this would be a great first time for everyone especially my 2 boys. We got in and the check-in was easy. We walked upstairs and it's a full house. It was fascinating to watch the batch of people already flying in that big tube. We sat and watched and my boys enjoyed just watching kids and adults fly around. We had to wait until our instructor called for us to go to the room where there's a video presentation of what to expect and what to do. Afterwards, we were given our suits, helmets, and protective glasses. It didn't take long before our batch's turn to line up and go inside the waiting area. We each take our turns with the instructor. It's $10 additional payment to fly high. For our family of 4, we each got around 1 minute 20 seconds of flight time and we get 2 rounds each. The 2nd flight, the last 30 seconds was when they fly me high. It was pretty neat especially for the first time but I would've preferred to be flying high the entire time for that extra $10. My husband and older son also did the same and they both said that although it was exciting, for the added fee, we should've had more time flying high. Anyway, it was a great first time. But we don't think we'll be coming back again. It's too expensive for the very short time flying. We got our thrill for the day and we got to scratch it off our bucket list. And my first skydiving experience still needs to be checked off my list. read more

Our trainer was Zori, and she was excellent in explaining things and helping us to better fly in the tunnel! You can tell she was very experienced in counseling first time flyers and I was very nervous but she help me calm down. I was so happy with our experience that I bought another 10 flys! You also get a discount if you tried your first time and you buy again at the end of your session! They gave us suits and helmet send goggles and earbuds that'll fit our size. People of all ages were there and I was surprised because there was this young boy who knew how to fly like an expert which really helped calm my nerves since I'm afraid of heights. They are really friendly people upstairs and I want to thank every one of them. The only thing is that when I arrived prior to my session, the lady in front had us wait about 10 min because she was on the phone, but maybe it was a busy day so I didn't want to say anything.
