Focus on finding a professional and organized agent, rather than a "sales" focused associate. I've had at least three transactions at this agency the last of which, as seller, was sloppy. I was in Idyllwild on Super Bowl Sunday, and started to look at the listings. I noticed that this town was affordable, so I walked into the office and met Linda Allen, a Realtor. Long story short, I kept in touch with Linda who sent me several listings, no pressure, but very generous with her time, especially when i finally flew back down there to look at the homes. I picked one, and from there everything went so smooth, and more so, Linda NEVER failed to be reached. We have lived in Idyllwild for 17 years. We own 3 houses here and know many homeowners here also. We have only been impressed with the real estate agents that we talk to regularly from Idyllwild realty. They are very down to earth, patient and informative, even when we are not shopping, just asking for advice. I cannot imagine anyone complaining about any of them. Our favorites include Jim Palmer, Sheila Zacker, Shane Stewart, and when any of those are not available, anyone in the office will take time to talk to us and our friends that we bring to them. Idyllwild is a small town with a big community heart. I am sorry that anyone has had any bad experiences, but i am sure that if that person was interested in personal help he or she would find only friendly people in the Idyllwild Realty offices.
