I live in Los Angeles but am originally from Wooster, and my parents still reside there. Kara was so kind & helpful, and made the process so smooth both times. She took my payment over the phone and kept the gift certificate at the front desk so that my Mom could call, schedule, and come in to redeem at her convenience. They also have two online purchasing options that I didn't go with as calling and coming in was easier for my mother. She raved about the salon and her therapist Nikki; and since they offer so many services that are so convenient to book it's really simplified gift-giving from across the country for me!

I go to Taylor and she isn't always busy talking to other people about things that have nothing to do with my visit. The concept of in and out, no connection isn't a restful relaxing, take my mind off of mundane things atmostsphere. I can get that at any walk in or Supercuts, I mention that because the original owners of Supercuts were patients of mine and that isn't how they wanted treated. At Revamp I get the feeling every customer is focused on until they walk out the door. Some people love the disconnected service, but if I am going to pay $50-60 dollars for service then I want that service attention. I love going to Revamp and intend to try many of their other services especially the massage and facials.

    I will never recommend this salon to anyone for any service whatsoever…read more My first experience for coloring,was OK and I left a very generous tip. The second time, they lost my card and had to figure out which color to use. It came out burgundy, which is not at all my color and yet, a couple of hairdressers came over to agree that was the correct color solution to use. When I got out in natural light, I realized how drastically wrong it was! I went back for a re-color, and it was acceptable, but not great. The next trip was just to have my hair washed, as I had just had knee replacement, and was very limited in mobility. My husband came into the salon with me and I asked how much it would cost to wash my hair. I was quoted $19. When I checked out, it was $31 and I questioned how that could be when I was quoted $19. That particular hairdresser had been standing right there at the desk when I asked for the original quote and yet she said to me, " well when you call in, we don't know how long your hair is. "I replied that I was standing right there and so was she when I got the quote; it was not over the phone. Then she said, ""well I blew it dry and that takes time." Sure it takes time, but even though my hair was long it's very fine. I did not ask for any kind of styling. I just didn't want to go out in the cold with wet hair since it was the month of March. She stood her ground and I paid the $31 being very disappointed in the lack of transparency. She should have told me it was going to be extra and how much before she did anything other than shampoo it. The final visit to that salon was the one that broke the camel's back! I went to the gal who had colored my hair previously, giving her one last chance, since I knew she was a single mom working to support her kids. When the coloring was finished, and she took off the plastic cape, I noticed some big spots on my orange T-shirt dress that I had just purchased and was wearing for the first time. It was just meant to be a casual every day summer dress that was short enough that it did not touch my knee, which was still healing. She and another hairdresser said it's probably just water, but I knew better. When it dried, the spots were very prominent, and I looked online for how to get them out and nothing worked. I called the salon to talk to the manager and then got a call from the regional manager who told me I would get a follow up that same day from the local manager. She asked, and I assured her that I had the dress and pictures, and still had the receipt. After leaving text messages and another call to the regional manager, I was never contacted by the local manager. I was simply asking for reimbursement, which, since the dress was on clearance, with a cost of a mere $10 plus tax, it was never about the money, it was about the fact that the customer service and training was so poor. So now, three months later, I still have the dress in the bag, and have found a wonderful hairdresser elsewhere. My willingness to give that salon multiple opportunities, my desire to help a single mom (and she knew I was a big tipper), had no meaning. I hope this review gets to someone at the corporate office. With the details I've included, it should be very recognizable as to which customer this was.
