First time customer of Barber Jevon today and definitely a repeat visitor after the experience! The shop is in a great location, it's nicely decorated and has a great atmosphere. Our barber Jevon listened to my requests for my 7 year old son's hair as well as answered our questions. He was very polite and knowledgeable as well as super patient and kind with my son. Great attention to detail, made my son feel comfortable and gave him a great quality haircut. Best and most importantly, my child didn't cry, wasn't scared like usual haircuts and left smiling! read more

The first thing to notice is that this shop is kept VERY CLEAN, and it smells clean. No hair on the floor from the last client. No rags sitting on the sink. No equipment laying around waiting to be cleaned. It just looks well kept and maintained. My son is 7 yrs old, but he was received and treated like one of the guys. There is a very cool vibe in here. Relaxed. They are BIG into baseball here and it shows. They have 3 big-screen televisions and they are kept at a perfect volume. It's just a good, clean, comfortable place where they do great work ans they keep it very professional. Ask for Adrian. CASH ONLY. read more

The first time my son came to this shop, he left happy with his haircut. Upon his 2nd visit, Adrian cut his hair, a little too short, but not enough to make my son go somewhere else. Tonight was his 3rd visit... he is extremely disappointed and upset, he doesn't even want to go to school tomorrow. Adrian butchered his hair. I showed him the inspiration photo, my son's hair had plenty of length, I don't know how it went so terribly wrong. I try to support local businesses as much as possible, but we will definitely go elsewhere the next time he needs a haircut. read more

Barber Shop: Clean. Easy to locate. Very chill environment. Ladies you'd feel comfortable. They have an app. They take appointment for an additional $5. They take credits cards as well but it's a extra $2. My experience: Carlos cut my hair. He was very kind and easy to talk too. This was my first time getting my haircut by any barber, so I had no clue what to ask for (but I had a pic) and he made me feel ok for not knowing and advise me what type of style it was and what number I should ask for. I thought that was cool. The haircut: It was just exactly like the pic. My line up was on point! He had me looking a thousand times better than when I walked in. I'd most definitely go again. read more

It's been a few weeks since my haircut with identity barbershop, and I have been contemplating writing this review but the day I went to get my haircut, I feel that my Haircut was rushed by who I believe is the owner , one side of my hair was faded and the other side was tapered like what the heck . I don't think the haircut I asked for was that hard. I was recommended this barber shop but I'm not recommending it to anyone. read more

Wanted to try this place out. I walked in around noon to make an appointment. They hooked me up with a 430pm appointment ( I thought.) I was there at 430 sharp, ended up waiting past 5pm, and noticed the barber that "was" gonna cut my hair was inexperienced. I asked the barber in the first chair to accommodate me, he told me, that sometimes you have to wait 30 minutes, even if you have an appointment. I was not impressed at all. I would give zero stars if possible. They wasted my time. Poor customer service. read more

So today I got my locs retwisted and I usually go right next door to the barbershop but today, Monday it seems like every barber was OFF. Well not Maurice! I went to Yelp found Blendz and went their since it was close to my house no one was there even though it was supposed to be open. Well they lost a customer bc I went back to Yelp and found Identity Barber Shop open and I called to ask were they open but that was a rhetorical question since someone answered the phone...lol!! It was Maurice who answered the phone and I told him I was on my way. Got there in 10 minutes and he did an awesome job! I was very impressed that I definitely look forward to going back! I appreciate his willingness to give me exactly what I wanted. Thanks Maurice!!! read more

I initially began writing this review some four or five weeks ago, after my first visit. I was impressed with one particular barber's customer service and commitment to his craft, Benny. Fast forward to present day. I sought to make an appointment with him again on Monday for a Wednesday. I was prompted to use their mobile application, which when I tried, I was unsuccessful. So, I called the shop directly and was transferred to Benny who confirmed my appointment time for two days later. Long story short, I pull up at 11:30 on Wednesday and he is no where to be found. He asked if I could come back later, as he planned to be in there shop in the afternoon, to which I laugh. I decide to sit and wait for one of the barbers to line me up and cut my hair--a mistake, if I've ever procured one in my life. Don't let Andy (Andres) get anywhere near your hair. He can't even do a simple line up. He hands me the mirror, claiming that he's finished working. My hairline was visibly crooked. "Ah, you're right," he mutts as he picks back up the razor to further assault my hair. Hell, even Stevie Wonder could see that shit. I see a little blood on the side of my head and tell him to no longer use the blade. "Yeah, you had a pimple," as he reaches for nick cream. Go around it, fuck tawd. Man will have you looking goofy. He is an incompetent barber. In fact, he doesn't even deserve the title of a barber. He is an incompetent hair dresser. After this mishap, I know I will no longer return to this establishment. I will continue going to LA's Finest Barbershop of Lakewood. read more

Good vibes as we stepped into the shop. Definitely coming back and so close to home. Great people and they always have games on seems like. Found a new barber and man he gave us some clean fades. Fresh Mike is my go to and has been for the last few years! Real humble dude and really cool guy. Mike you the Man! I would like to elaborate more on the shop. The shop has a vibe that no other brings. It's your escape from all the outside stuff and it feels good to hang out with the guys! Carlos has done an awesome job at maintaining the shop and building a great brand. One thing that stands out to me is Carlos makes sure you're always good. To him you're not a Customer, you're a client which really stood out to me. read more

Identity is literally the best barber shop in town. I'm glad to see this shop on Bellflower Blvd. It's professional, clean, and family friendly. Carlos took his time, additionally doing what I asked for.(which some barbers ironically don't do). Excellent work and professional attitude. Shop was also clean and maintained a nice theme. read more

I've been getting my haircut with the owner Carlos since before he opened this location (about 2 years now). This barbershop exudes the quality that I've consistently received from Carlos throughout. My favorite feature with this location is the effortless option to set an appointment through an app. You have the ability to choose the time, date, and even the barber and you know the price beforehand. Overall the barbershop operates with honesty, integrity and in-depth knowledge of hair and hair cutting. I'd highly recommend! read more

I've been going to Identity for about 6 months now, and have only had my hair cut by Carlos. He has probably been the best barber I've had. I saw some reviews about how some hair cuts have taken too long, but Carlos has always taken about 30-35 mins, which I consider to be about average. Carlos is very thorough, and attentive to detail. He's a chill guy. If you want to talk, he's easy to talk to, or if you just want to relax and be silent, he's cool with that, too. I can't recommend Carlos enough! The shop itself is always clean, and they usually have sports on the tv's. The guys in the shop all seem to get along and usually joke around together. Parking in the front of the shop is hit or miss, but there is a large parking lot in the back. Overall I love this barbershop, and glad I found it! read more

Ive been cutting my hair with Carlos for over 10yrs now. He's an experience barber who know the ins and outs of the hair game. After having multiple conversations with him, his goal was to hire barbers with the same attributes. This is a professional, family friendly business. A place where you can feel comfortable bringing your kids, not having to worry about any foul language music or movies playing from the speakers. The shop looks phenomenal. It's has a vintage but modern look and feel to it. Walkins are welcomed, but to secure your spot on a chair, I recommend to download that app and book an appointment. It's really convenient and fast. I can assure you that you'll be leaving feeling fresh with any of the barbers here. read more

Poor customer service and doesn't keep appointment times the barber that was providing the service for my son got offended when I inquired about time slots and suggested I go elsewhere. Usually pay $35 but barber refuse to give change back and stated due to gas prices the prices have increased (wasn't made aware on website and it was a child's haricut) service was provided 45 mins late with no apologies...I would've came later if barber would've communicated delay just as the barber would've expected me to. The haircut came out good but it was blindsided by such a poor experience. My dollar probably doesn't make a difference I guess but definitely want to share my past experience with others especially being a single mom read more

Seriously one of the best barbershops I've been to. Carlos does a flawless job with every cut . I tend to be picky with haircuts and trust me when I say I wouldn't mind getting a cut from any of the barbers in this place . Everyone in here is focused but also have this vibe amongst each other that makes any client in their shop feel comfortable. One another thing I love about the place is the app they use. Makes it easier to set up an appointment with your favorite barber if your not looking to walk in and wait. Well worth it. read more

Gus my barber and he's the man he takes care of u and tightened up the cut come see him..

I came here with a jacked up situation on my head. I let inexperienced hands attempt to give me a fade the night prior and it came out pretty bad. I couldn't walk around Earth lookin all crazy, so FIRST thing in the morning, I hopped on yelp to find the best local barbers and came across this shop and one other. I was nervous because I've never been to a barbershop and was incredibly skeptical on their ability to cut women's hair and still keep them looking feminine. While glancing through the pictures on this yelp page, I seen a woman who got her hair cut here, so that was comforting and ultimately helped me choose this shop. All the cuts I'd seen on this page and their instagram were well executed so I had confidence in everyone's ability to give a nice cut, I just wanted to be sure it would be a cut that flatters me. So I booked an appointment with David through the Identity Barbershop app and the rest is history. He put me at ease the moment I sat in his chair. He listened to my concerns and explained to me what he could do to make sure I got the results I wanted, and added his own expertise to not only fix the situation I came in with, but give me something better. I love my new look! Thank you David! Side note: The shop is a cool spot. As a female customer, I had assumptions about what my experience would be like, I'm so glad it met none of them. Everybody is cool, and feels familiar. The shop does a nice job at balancing a friendly and professional tone. The setup is nice, vibe is chill, and I felt 100% comfortable. I recommend. read more

I echo all the other positive reviews. Super clean shop, family friendly, great decor. I had been letting my hair grow long for a long time so I hadn't had a cut in a while ( a long while ). When I did get it cut I used to go to Gilbert at a shop in Long Beach but the last few times I went there he had moved someplace else. Fast forward to last week and I decided to go back to a neat haircut. Walked into this shop and there was Gilbert. He remembered me and gave me a GREAT cut. Ask for Gilbert, he will take care of you. read more

First and foremost, be prepared to spend a significant amount of time here. Showed up at 12:35 for a 12:50 appointment and didn't start until 1:20. A bit frustrating waiting that long however after going through the process you appreciate the time and effort the barbers put into their craft. Johnny Arguello was the one doing the work and he did a great job. I was unsure about a few things aswell as how exactly I wanted it done and he had solid suggestions that turned out looking good. You can tell the appreciation he puts into his work. Great casual spot with good a/c. read more

Identity Barber Shop - Before & After 7-24-18' - Barbers Near Me - Bellflower, California

This is the worst barbershop in the city! I was leaving work to try out a new barbershop in my neighborhood only for the barber to do a bad job at tapering my hair. Not to mention he charged me $45 and asks if I want aftershave! No barbershop ever asks if they need aftershave it's an obvious answer. Every barber knows to apply aftershave after lining up your whether we like it or not. Not going here again. read more

I just revisited Identity for my second cut. I didn't see the same barber, and I could tell he was less experienced. The finished result looked okay but not as good as my first trip when I sat with Mister. Next time I'll make an appointment with Mister. I want to point out that I brought a friend of mine to get his head shaved (bald). The barber he sat with, I think it was Matteo, left his head bloody and burning. My friend can shave his head at home without doing that. You go to a barber hoping to get a relaxing experience with superb results. My friend was disappointed he paid $20 to get his head cut up. I felt bad because I recommended Identity to him and I don't think he plans on going back. read more

Great experience. I had my hair cut by barber Andy. Great attention to detail, great customer service, professional and on top sprinkled in with some humor. Relax and talk shop while getting a fresh cut. If you want an experience over just a hair cut, visit barber Andy, he won't disappoint. Tip: Recommend making an appointment. They get busy. read more

I love that I can make appointments from my phone. My boys have been here multiple times and always ask for BENNY to do their hair. What makes things even better is that Benny is available for later appointments which makes it easier for us since we don't get home from work til around 6. The other shops we've been to before would close by the time we get home and when we try to make appointments on the weekends they would be fully booked already. At first I thought the price of the cuts were a little high but I realized that's how much they charge at most barbershops now a days and it's well worth it here. At least I know my kids are leaving with the best cut. read more

I have never had someone argue with me about how I wanted my haircut before. I would never come back here again. I asked for a simple comb over and i guess that was to hard to do. Ac doesn't work. I would recommend a dog grooming place over this. Complete trash read more

I walked in today to this barbershop because of the yelp reviews, and I can't say I was less than impressed. Not only is the barbershop really nice and in a great location, Andres Chaidez the barber really took care of me. He was the first one I saw when I came in, he took his time to understand what kind of style I was looking for, and didn't finish until I was completely satisfied and looking fresh. I will definitely be coming back. P.S. they have 3 big flat screens so you never miss a game while here. read more

Pricey, but worth it! Excellent quality and result. They aim to please. Professional and clean.

Man I'll try to make this as short as possible! Owner and Barber Carlos has been my barber since I moved to Cali almost 4 years ago. Back then he was cutting here out of Barber Lounge, located in Downey, CA. Coming from Philly I was skeptical to using a new Barber but Carlos got me looking sharp since 2013. Not only is he an expert at his craft but he is a professional. Carlos became a friend and family. I've been happy with my cut every time I left the chair. I don't even know why he hands me the mirror anymore lol. Now my boy has his own shop! It's amazing to see a great Barber, and friend develop his new business as a owner. The shop is looking great, the others barbers behind the chairs are sharp, and you can even book your appointment through their app. I recommend booking your appointment to get in and out. It can get pretty busy quick. Check out the shop. It won't disappoint. read more

My husband started going to Carlos when he was at a shop in Downey(a few years ago). He followed him to his shop which is here in Bellflower now. That's the only person my husband allows to fade him up, trim his beard get him back to looking normal. He started fading my son who has issues with sitting in the chair and allowing Carlos to do his job, but he's so patient with him and doesn't get aggravated or upset. He talks him through the haircut even if my son is not having it. I can appreciate that more then anything. His talent and people skills are great. It's hard to find someone who not only does their job amazingly but also loves what he does. That's why we continue to come back to him. read more
