I showed Jarrod a photo of a type of towel bar handle I liked and he found a perfect match. Communication was awesome from Jarrod and Felicia in the office. The guys who did the install were polite, clean and fast. We had a small problem with a bracket rubbing against a tile and marking it up a bit. Felicia had someone out to adjust it the next day. We have been very happy with the look and the function of the glass itself, the door and the transom that vents for the steam shower. I mentioned the remodel from hell because I get anxious every time I use someone for a home project big or small after multiple bad experiences. Complete Glass was exactly how a sub or vendor SHOULD be when working on your home. I am very pleased with how they followed through. They replaced the gutters and downspouts on one side of my home with larger six-inch black gutters designed to handle heavy runoff from steep rooflines. The installation looks good, and they extended the leaf guards along the full runs beyond what we had originally discussed, adding meaningful value. The corner splash protection should also help control water in the most difficult areas. My earlier review noted that the heat tracing still needed to be reconnected. They returned, completed that work, and took care of much more than I expected. Their willingness to come back, finish the details, and do significant additional work earned my confidence and changed the experience to a five-star one. I appreciate their follow-through and am very happy with the completed project.

Payed to have a humidifier installed with a new furnace installation. Technician came by on three…read moreseparate visits and was never able to get it working. The technician kept blaming it on faulty components. A quick read of the manual made clear that the technician was incorrectly wiring the humidifier. I was able to correctly wire it in 20 mins, and it works fine. Owner refuses to admit they did anything wrong, and continues to claim that there are bad components that needed replacing, even though I have it working. Won't refund me for the job they didn't complete. Technicians also removed a 24v transformer for the humidifier during the furnace install. Owner won't return the transformer, or refund me the cost to replace it.

I needed some exterior remodeling. I called around. Got some referrals from a salesman at a builder…read moresupply distribution company. Who better to recommend a good, quality contractor? Interviewed a bunch of people. Got a lot of bids... Just about pulled the trigger on vinyl. Ended up with the fine folks at Home Depot. Quality products, lifetime guaranty on materials and workmanship. Big name to stand behind my investment. In the end, I was too snobbish to drape vinyl on my home. Found Elite. Very soft sale from Dave Gile. They do a lot of new construction. They've worked for every large builder in the Salt Lake Valley. Worked with me on design although all I really needed to do was look at one of their catalogs and point to a picture and say, "Make my house look like this one." I'm not too picky except when it comes to women. I had them re-roof. The previous owner had shopped roofers and had given me a name and price expectation. They had to take the roof down to the plywood. Elite came in under what I expected and did a fabulous job! All the vents on the roof were replaced. The re-wrap took some time. Mostly weather delays and I wasn't in any hurry. I made some changes because I didn't like the way the bay window turned out. Chose Hardy Board. The trim was done with a manufactured wood product. The painters were all of three days. Elite wrapped the exterior beams, did a great job with the trim work around the windows and capped the chimney with an aluminum hood. I had them replace or cover soffit and facia. Their metal guy did the work on a fancy home I built in 2002. He's a craftsman! I replaced the rain gutter. It all turned out phenomenal! I worked with their "fix-it" guy. He took care of all of the miscellaneous stuff that I wasn't 100% about. The siding guys had beat up my new shingles when they were doing the upper story. Asphalt shingles tend to become delicate in the middle of the summer. They used four bundles of shingles to replace those that were damaged. I had Elite replace the garage window. Like with anything, communication is essential. In the end, I think I chose the wrong color scheme. I would have liked the field to have better matched the used brick. Entirely my fault. This was a time I could have used some help from someone who knew what they were doing. Elite laid it in my lap which, I suppose, is where the decision for color choice should have been. I'll never make it as a designer. They started mid-spring, finished late summer. I paid them half down, another 25% at one point when they neared completion, the other 25% when they were finished. Had I been in a bigger rush, it would have been completed far sooner. Had I been a squeaky wheel, it would have been finished far sooner. If I'd been a bigger jerk, it would have been completed quickly. 45-60 days maybe? I went into this thinking it would take what it would take. I wanted them to take their time and do a good job rather than rush things and cut corners. The one thing that stands out most about my experience with Elite and the significant investment I've made in my home was Elite wanted my COMPLETE SATISFACTION as much, if not more, as they wanted payment for their services. I really felt that they were going to do whatever they needed to to make certain I was happy with my project. They demonstrated on numerous occasions their willingness to remedy anything that I wasn't happy with. My home looks new. It would fit right in if I lived at Daybreak. I've got a maintenance-free exterior that, aside from some paint in the future, should last another 38 years and beyond. Their craftsmen were craftsmen. I paid less than I could have. I am delighted and would highly recommend Elite Custom Exteriors!

Nice showroom and seemingly nice guys. But that is where things stop. I was a contractor in Arizona…read morefor 24 years. Deposits were required, but usually around 30%. I was a little surprised that they require payment in full before the order is placed. Now I know why. They do not have their own install crews. They sub everything out and stand behind absolutely NOTHING! The LVT crew they hired got started and reached a point where they didn't know how to finish. The installer said he had to go to another job and would be back to finish in a few days. He demanded to be paid for the extras before he left. I called Knotty Alder and they said any extras must be paid. I told they weren't done yet and he hadn't finished the "extras" anyhow. Well, I paid him and the installer never came back. The company sent out a different guy who said they screwed everything up and the guy was a tile installer who had never done LVT before. Right after placing the order, we decided not to carpet an area in the basement. I called John and he said there were no refunds after the order was placed. I said I understand about the carpet, but the installer supplies the pad and they will not be doing the labor. He said we would have to see. They kept the extra padding and no refund on the labor, even after being charged several hundred for the LVT "extras" that were never even done (I ended up removing and installing the toilets myself even though I paid for that. John said it states in the contract that they don't do toilets. But the installer was fine to do it, but he took the money and never returned). After you pay them, they have you do all the calling and scheduling with the installer even though you have no contract with them. The installers drag out fixing the problems for months at a time and when they do come out, they normally say they don't have the materials or tools needed, or they need to get something through Knotty Alder. Knotty Alder will charge you for anything it takes to finish the job, even if it was supposed to be included and already paid for, When we couldn't get the installers back I texted pictures to John and asked if he could get someone out to finish. He would just ask for more pictures. After a year of this he told my wife "sorry, the warranty period has expired." So it appears that the strategy is to charge in full before placing an order, don't take any responsibility for their subs (they were not my subs), let the subs take advantage of their clients, do shoddy work, charge for extras they don't do, tell you to schedule everyone on your own and then after you can't get things resolved they say "too bad, your year is up!" We are still trying to get the installers to finish things and we have offered to pay them. Same results as before, wrong tool or don't have this or that... In some ways I think Knotty Alder has thrown the installers under the bus. We bought the very best LVT flooring they carry. Not only were there install issues, but the edges are delaminating and turning up. Knotty Alder has there money and they wash their hands of EVERYTHING. The installer didn't purchase the material, so it appears they have no leverage or support from the manufacturer. So we are stuck in the middle with no help or support from the only people we had a contract with and they take NO responsibility after the payment in full is made. In the end, I realize they have a nice showroom, but they are not the "nice guys" I thought. The way they have treated us is totally disgraceful and unethical. I wouldn't recommend them to ANYONE based on our experience.
