Ideal image I am leaving this review to highly discourage anyone from visiting Ideal Image in the Jacksonville, FL area, which are all under the same management team of Owner/General Manager Liz Kaniosky. I came in for a consultation on November 16, 2024 and met with Ashlynn. I paid in full for my services (full legs and underarms) totaling $3612. When scheduling my first appointment with her, I advised I would only be available for Saturday appointments. She was very accommodating and scheduled my first appointment. Upon my arrival on my appointment day, I was greeted by Natalie and she explained that my appointment was not on their schedule. She spoke with Cheryl, the employee who performs the services, and they were gracious enough to squeeze me in that same day. I had no problem waiting for two hours to be able to get started on my laser hair journey. Natalie mentioned that having Saturday appointments in the future would become an issue, as they are not permitted to book Saturday appointments at all in 2025. It was at this time that I requested a call from a manager to discuss this further. She advised that her manager was out sick, but agreed that someone would be reaching out to me the following Monday... two days later. I did not receive a call back from a manager, and when Cheryl called me to see how I was doing after my treatment later that week, I let her know that I had unresolved issues (that she was aware of) and she said that she was speaking to her manager right now and I should be expecting a call back the same day. After TWO WEEKS, I called the office and again spoke with Ashlynn. She apologized for the oversight with the previous appointment booking and said that owner/manager/General Manager, Liz, would be calling me that day to resolve the matter. Two days later, I finally received a call back from Liz. We ultimately decided that the best way to proceed would be to issue a refund and discontinue my treatment with Ideal Image. She emailed me a document that I printed, signed, and returned within a few hours of receipt. She confirmed that she was processing the refund and it would be in my account within two weeks. THREE WEEKS later, I called because my refund was not reflecting in my account. I spoke with Ashlynn again and she advised that she could see the refund was processing, but since Liz was out of the office that day, she would have to give me a call back. I replied to Liz's email advising the refund had not been received as of yet. When we spoke, I was admittedly heated, but remained professional. I wish I could say that she handled it better. After interrupting and talking over each other, we agreed that we were not being productive in our conversation. I asked her direct, pointed questions and she refused to answer, citing she didn't want to interrupt me, even though she was given an opportunity to answer. At that point, I thought the call had been disconnected. She said that even though she told me it would take two weeks for the refund, it actually takes 30 to 45 days for the refund to be processed. I advise that this is completely unacceptable given the experience I have had and the information that she had provided. With a click of a button she told me that the refund was processed and I would see it reflect as a pending transaction on my bank account before the end of the day. She was unable to give a reason as to why this was not performed within the expected timeframe that she originally provided. I am still awaiting the refund on January 10, 2025. read more

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality I setup appointment 1-28-22@ 9am in the morning because I have to be somewhere. I walked in 901 and the lady gives me a snobby look and ask if I had an appointment and I said yes. She said I will be with and leaves and chats with her co workers for a while. 913am I get up and leave because obviously they don't want to see me. As I get in mt car she calls and said I heard you leave and I was about to walkout to talk with you. That was a lie because I could of waited until 920 am and she would of let me sit there. I was referred to ideal image because My original guys are so far and I needed a single session well the lady I just spoke to on the pone stayed that they do not do single sessions and that I would have to go to a consultation to get pricing which sounds so fishy to me but at that point I did not care . My issue is when I gave her an example of single sessions which with an example price of single session for 100$ she stated well we are "true laser " so our prices would not be like that . I said ... I was giving that as an example . She honestly turned me off from this company by making it seem as though laseraway was not a good company to work with which is funny because I've seen results and at this moment I would rather just go down to Miami and get it done . This ideal image is a franchise that is poorly run as far as retaining clients. The first time I had an inquiry their response was great but now it seems no one is ever returning messages nor worried if you come back for more services. Find a clinic that wants your business and is professional and polite. Fleming Island Ideal Image won't honor the prices from corporate emails because they are not a corporate store. Consultation-5stars Yvette was fabulous. She answered all my questions, and gave me the information I needed to be confident in my decision. Treatment Day- My appointment was at 12 o'clock. I arrive right at 12 and they sent me back to the room. I am doing laser hair removal on my underarms ,Brazilian and bellybutton area. Liz made sure that I was comfortable answered any last minute questions that I had . Now in walks Gina . Like a shining star walked into the room. She had the hugest smile beautiful sparkly eyes and made me feel like I was at home. Gina explain the entire process will of what she would be doing ,how it would feel and she continued to talk to me and explain everything as we went through it .Honestly was worse on my armpits that it was on the Brazilian which is shocking .I am happy and I am so ready to return in two months. I have read what feels like 1000 reviews online on Google and on yelp and on real self . I did my research before coming here and I know that they are pricey. However ,they have been in business for for many years . That is one of the main reasons that I decided to go with them . They have experience and it really shows . I'm happy with the choice I made. BUYERS BEWARE! So I have been a member of ideal image for a while. Before they used to offer a guarantee so if you needed touch up sessions after your last one they would offer them for free. Now they charge you for touch ups. When they try to sell it to you, they tell you it's a "guarantee" but they are just charging for touch ups that you would have to pay anywhere else for. It's just another scam to get you to think you are getting a good value. On top of that, the prices are astronomical compared to other laser treatments and no there is no differences between them and others, they all use the same machine basically. They seem to have a good deal where you can do interest free payments which i did but guess what....they charged me interest the whole "interest free period" and now i'm fighting with them to get my money back. Do yourself a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! It's not worth all the heartache. They are not BBB certified which tells you a lot. My other big issue was when I went there for their "summer promotion discount" it was the same exact price that they had given another time, not during a promotion. It's just another scam to make you think you are getting a good deal. It's always sketchy to me that they never post prices. To me that means they are getting away with being able to charge you whatever they want and trick you into getting a good deal. Honestly, it seems borderline illegal. Go somewhere that's open about pricing and payment, DON'T GET TRAPPED HERE with a huge bill. read more

I had my last session of laser hair removal about a year ago. The staff were great. They were always nice. But laser treatments did nothing for me. If anything they did the opposite. I paid for 9 sessions up front. Over $4000. And let me say my hair grew back thicker and longer than before. I only went for my upper lip. They convinced me that I should do full face because they had a promotion going. I never had a problem with side burns or chin hair. They kept blaming my hormone levels. But I checked them and nothing was wrong with my hormones. I kept going. Worst mistake ever. I regret it so much. She said then why are you here? ‍ like come on, im there because obviously I am interested. She then showed me a bunch of numbers and barely explained. Like ok here's a monthly payment. But for how long? 2 years? When I would be having one service. It's just dumb. I also will not pay $1200 for less than 12 hairs on my face. Cool sculpting does NOT work for everyone.. It is extremely expensive and produces little to no results. I started as a hair removal customer, it also was very expensive but I got results and have no complaints. I consulted with Sonya and was told my two areas of concern (inner thighs and upper back fat(bra area) would have a great result. More than $3000.00 later NO results at all on thighs and very little if at all on the upper flanks. I was given a complimentary second visit after many unheard complaints on only one area, I choose the back fat. Two hours spent again and no results. I called corporate and was told someone would contact me.. I understand that I signed a contract and i understand I will have to pay but I wanted all of you out there to consider other options... seeing a plastic surgeon for liposuction would be the better option... FYI I am 5'5 and weigh 138lbs.. very active and in great shape for a 56yr old, I was just looking for alittle tightening up for these flabby areas that are resisitant to exercise.
