The company gets ZERO…read more I want to share my experience working for AOMS/Full Smile so future dental professionals can make informed decisions before accepting a position there. Don't let this place fool you; it's a conglomerate that is focused on financial gain. While I genuinely enjoyed the people I worked with in my specific office, the overall management culture was severely disappointing. Management is overly critical and routinely demeaning to staff. In my experience, leadership is dismissive of employee concerns and overly focused on profit at the expense of staff well-being. New hires are often promised opportunities for large bonuses, but what is not clearly explained is that offices may be financially penalized when insurance claims are denied -- even when treatment plans were created and signed by the patient. This creates pressure and frustration for the clinical staff. The turnover speaks for itself. In less than nine months, two dentists, two RDAs, and three RDHs left my office alone. Additionally, staff at offices, other than the main AOMS building, have been expected to perform janitorial duties after the company eliminated dedicated cleaning staff at satellite offices. PTO policies are also difficult to navigate. If you have it, you must use it; management will not allow you to take a non-paid day off. Employees are required to use four hours of PTO for appointments that only require one hour away from work. Medical appointments scheduled months in advance are consistently questioned or criticized, even when they can only be scheduled on certain days due to physician availability. Employees have been made to work despite having physician documentation stating they are not to work. Schedules are changed with little regard for existing commitments, employees are often expected to find their own coverage for approved time off, and time off is routinely cancelled without regard to financial obligations already made (i.e., airline tickets purchased, etc.). Office meetings are often scheduled during lunch breaks with little notice, making it difficult to plan a meal or for staff to properly rest during the workday. A free meal is NOT a reward for hard work. HR is NOT your friend; they are only there to protect the company. Don't let them promote you in title, and not in pay; notorious for this. There is also significant pressure to attend after-hours functions that are described as "strongly encouraged." These events are not compensated for the additional time and expectations involved. Honestly, Starbucks offers better employee benefits and programs than AOMS/FS. Everyone's experience may differ, but based on mine, and others who've voiced the same concerns, I would strongly encourage future dental professionals to carefully evaluate whether this company aligns with the work environment and professional respect you deserve.

I received a bill from her for almost $400 for my two kids. In the last six months, she stopped taking my insurance. AOMS is still listed as accepting blue cross of Texas. We were not notified she was no longer in network. There is nothing special about her. Apparently another doctor is in network there. We could have seen him if the clinic was honest and upfront. I would have never brought my kids back if we had been informed she stopped accepting our insurance. I feel scammed.
