The price was good, the delivery was good, the drill, a Makita Speed Cordless Drill was great. We purchased it on the 4th December and it went wrong on the 20th January. It was returned, postage paid by us and signed for on the 22nd January. Lots of phonecalls, all assuring me of their best customer service, some unreplied e-mails, and unfulfilled promises of call backs later I am now in the situation of a proposed return of the drill around 9th March. They say it's 'possible' it might be before. A refund is, apparently, out of the question because it went wrong after 30 days. They blame Makita, but I have had dealings with Makita myself before and they seem pretty good about returning items quickly. I really don't like to do this, and I have read this message to them, but still they seem unable to resolve the situation, so I feel I have no choice. read more
