As well as ironmongery, they sell a wide range of kitchenware, kitchen electricals, and other household items. Great for torches, batteries, cleaning materials, plastic bowls, cooling fans and fan heaters - you name it. They have a fairly constant range of special offers, some of which offer very good value. Unfortunately, the wide range is the undoing of the small store in Earl's Court. The range is too wide, and therefore lacks depth, to really offer much choice. Sometimes they have what I want, but more often I make the trip instead to their larger store in High Street Kensington. That said, it has been useful for the odd emergency item and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful.

Worst of all if a product stops working after a few days or weeks the manager will literally make every excuse not to give you your money back and if that doesn't work he has no problem insulting your integrity. We have been there on several occasions and never thought about how many people are returning things.. However after witnessing the way the manager spoke to a customer visiting the UK yesterday and trying to return a faulty electrical device within 14 days, I decided to write this review. I won't be returning and nor will any of my contractors. Be warned... don't rely on what they tell you. Try Fulham Road or Brompton Road hardware stores for better pricing, better quality and a normal customer service and returns policy.

The converter was under lock, and we had to find a store employee to unlock for us... he could have been a little friendlier. Despite the employee's attitude, we were glad to find a the converter.

This is a great shop to get things you need around the home. They are usually competitively priced and have good stock levels whenever I've needed anything from there. The staff are very helpful and on the few occassions that I've had to return an item, they have been very good in either exchanging the faulty goods or providing a refund without any hassle. The Italian who runs it must know a thing or two about selling! While-a you wait, why not-a browse? Anyway, great to see places like this still going strong, let's hope it remains open. Every home decor product under the sun is packed in here, including some always artfully arranged in window displays that Selfridges would be proud of. The quality of what they sell is good - I would say comparible to John Lewis, and also reasonably priced. The store is well layed out and actually pretty big for Putney Exchange. The staff are generally very helpful. They also have frequent sales throughout the year - so it is particularly worth paying a visit when one of these is on. I saved 20% of a sofa there once, and took advantage of their interest free credit offer.
