The building were really out dated but as I passed by recently, I see they are re doing the main building and others will be re done as well! Coronado has many clubs and activities to join and on top of that, has many sports teams you can join! I did end up leaving the school my sophomore year because their softball team wasn't the best when I was there so I dropped my transfer and headed back to Franklin but I will always appreciate the time I had at Coronado!

Mr. Hernandez is known by his students for not teaching anything and complaining when we learn nothing. I have had many bad experiences with Mr. Hernandez but one really sticks out for me, I was feeling sick so I went to the restroom but the one on my floor was closed so I went to the floor below and threw up in the restroom A LOT. I came back after 20 minutes and he told me "You spent 20 minutes in the restroom. You are only allowed 5 minutes." He stuck a paper in my face that stated only 5 minutes in the restroom. When I tried to explain my situation he wouldn't listen and gave me a referral. Mr. Hernandez has made my experience at El Paso High one star.

Ended up selling a box of chocolates to one of the admins of student education at Brown Middle…read moreschool and she showed us around campus after school. This is one of the best things about El Paso...the community cares and takes the time to show what makes them proud of their city! I loved that my kids saw how much the campuses supports each other since we were selling for Tippin Elementary. The Brown campus is big! The shape is like an airplane and it's 2 stories, they have a huge awesome cafeteria decorated in my opinion like Simpsons land with cute fronts and diner style booths. They have a large gym with volleyball at the moment utilizing it and a CrossFit program! The most impressive to me was the STEM program in the new tech hall. They have group classes and a fab lab with Lego robotics and several 3D print labs. This is definitely a school that invests in their students future. It's also the only EPISD STEM certified middle school (6-8 grades) that enables them to earn college credits. They also have the program in dual language as well. We are definitely happy that this is another great option for our kiddos and had no idea that all this exists since we just started our schooling journey. So glad our tax dollars show up in the state of the art classes and curriculum. And it all started with a box of chocolates..."you never know what you're gonna get".

Over all, I had a good experience considering I was there for such a short period of time. They were able to help me and test me to see where I needed help since the private school I came from was so behind on math and science. They then worked with Hornedo to make sure the next year I would be caught up so I would do well in high school! Just hoping they fixed the sewage issue, as that was a very big problem and made the entire school smell.

I recently attended this school as class of 2026, let me say this school had some of the most…read moredisrespectful kids I have seen, I was constantly bullied everyday, and I came from a school for learning disabilities, so needless to say, I didn't have the typical middle school experience which led me to being very neurodivergent. at this school, my peers didn't care where I came from and wouldnt let me enjoy anything there, my own friends would be dicks to me and abandon me, I would never wish an experience like this to other kids who probably likewise have social problems. I knew a kid with autism that would be bullied just for having it, this Schools students are cruel and need to be humbled especially if they are so called "being prepared for adulthood". And I'm not even mentioning the fact that this school has a cult following for colleges, and these kids were brain washed into thinking that you have to go to big prestigious colleges to make it in life, news flash, college doesn't dictate how successful your gonna be in life, I got made fun of for simply wanting to go to my hometown college Utep, vs these kids who wanna go to Harvard and get into debt from a student loan, yeah, no thank you. this school needs to discipline their students better and teach them respect for the sake of it being a Catholic school.
