My three children have been at Immanuel Christian School for a total of eight years. It is a great school both academically and spiritually. The quality of teachers far exceed my expectations. I feel that they truly care about the whole child, not just grades and behavior. We are a faithful Catholic family and yet decided that Immanuel Christian School was the best choice for our children over Catholic private schools in the area because of low teacher-student ratios, low teacher turnover rates, and high academic standards. They also receive bible instruction at school, which when coupled with our Catholic teachings, makes for a strong individual to attain success in life. My older children eventually moved on to Eastwood High School and have done tremendously well, easily handling public school's AP coursework and scoring well on SAT and ACT tests. STAAR tests were easy for them as they had taken annual National Terra Nova tests at Immanuel. (But, teachers DO NOT teach to the test) At Eastwood's school registration, counselors and teachers always said to me, "OMG, we LOVE students from Immanuel." I have a kindergartner and a 2nd grader at Immanuel Christian School. From the first time we walked into the school 4 years ago we have felt at home. It was refreshing to receive such a loving welcome from a school. The faculty and staff are genuinely friendly and loving, putting our children's needs first. It is a safe and nurturing environment that promotes a child's growth; mentally, physically and spiritually. All faculty are highly trained and certified educators and have many years of experience. Immanuel Christian School has motivated and challenged my son academically and has brought out the best in him spiritually and athletically as well. The teacher to student ratio is perfect which is what we look for in a private school. Immanuel's rules, regulations and structure are shaping a responsible generation and the Christian curriculum they follow just takes a child's overall education to a different level. The teacher turnover rate is incredibly low which tells me that they love their job and in turn, love their students--our children. I've coached football & basketball at ICS Warriors for past 11 years & It's been a blessing & joy coaching a lot of outstanding athletes. I've really enjoyed the friends I've made with a lot of ICS Warriors families during my coaching career at ICS. It's been a blessing to coach all the young men in football & basketball, but it's been a big blessing to see how they've grown in their faith & love for Jesus. I am a parent of three students at ICS, 2 who have graduated and have gone on to successful adulthood. My third is currently in middle school. The opportunities, in my opinion, are more for the students here because it's a small school. Those who play athletics will probably get a chance to have more one on one coaching and able to play more. The teacher to student ration is 14 to 1 on average, far smaller than public schools. And when a student is having any difficulty at all, the teachers either talk to find out the heart of the matter, or get together to make a plan to help them get where they need to be. The small school is not for everyone, and there is no such thing a perfect school; but I have never regretted bringing my children here, not for one second! read more

Our family has called Immanuel Christian School home for 3 years now and we plan to stay! ICS came highly recommended from our child's previous school that at the time only went up to 3rd grade. We were welcomed into this school right away from parents, teachers and even the principle who made it a point to learn our names and says hi to each family individually. We like the athletic opportunities, the curriculum, but mostly that our children are prayed for and taught the Word while in school. Immanuel is traditional and has good structure/organization and yet they are also looking at ways to be innovative and bring new STEM and other programs to the students. read more

My daughter is an example of what an ICS education can do. She started in the 3 year old class and became a proud graduate. Immanuel prepared her academically for UTEP. Many of her professors immediately recognized that she came from a private Christian school because she knew how to study, listen, write, take notes, and excel. She ended up graduating from UTEP magna cum laude with a Business Degree in Human Resources. She is currently working as a payroll processor and is working her way up. I have been part of the Immanuel family for over 20 years... first, as a student, then as a parent, and now as part of the faculty. I absolutely love everything about Immanuel. The teachers truly care about the children and I know my own child is receiving the best education. Once, I pulled my daughter out of Immanuel to try a "cheaper" school that was closer to home. She lasted only 3 months at this other school. I was so disappointed in the staff and quality of education. The following year, I had her right back at Immanuel. As the parent of an ICS Alumnus, having our child in a Private Christian School setting was the best decision. He was well prepared academically and spiritually when he graduated.
