After being with another credit union for over 20 years we regret making the switch to ICCU. We were "sold" on the benefit of their Central Plus Checking which has a monthly fee but includes benefits. One of the benefits are Monthly Bill Pay. You can schedule a payment date on your bills. On May 2nd I put in a request for our credit card payment that was due May 16th. It was to be paid May 12th. It was paid late on May 19th. After a few hours spent trying to rectify I was told a third party handles that - no one at the branch cares or would help. No one told us when we signed up a 3rd party handles this. On March 17th I paid another credit card bill. The money was taken out of my account but the company I paid through bill pay said they couldn't deposit as the check from the 3rd party wasn't readable yet it was taken from my account. On both of these I have to dispute , show proof by getting copies of the ACH, in order to reverse the $81 late charges,. Even worse is the time it is taking to gather information after being put on hold so many times as no one seems to really care at the branch. I asked to speak to a manager and was told it would take up to 72 hours to get a return call. I can only imagine they are so busy if they are operating through 3rd parties and have no control of their business. read more

I tried to call them and ask them why they put a hold on my account and they said it was because I was a little late on my signature long. Now they already sent a negative review to the credit bureaus saying I was thirtyish days past due. And I accept the negative remark. However to put a hold on my other account which was going to allow me to feed my family is absolutely uncalled for. And for them to tell me I'm sorry you feel that way just pushes blame. And it completely disregarded my already high levels of stress from the bad credit and by adding more stress by putting a hold on my account, which was going to allow me to feed my family. What's not to love about ICCU? Typically, the low fees are what brings new members into the fold. They have plenty of free checking and free savings options for individuals and for businesses. They also have low rates on car loans, mortgages, and the like. They have full-service banking without the full-service banking price. They're not just out to make a quick buck for themselves. This location is particularly beautiful. It's new and updated. Everything inside is comfortable. The service I've received at this location is very, very good. They've always been pleasant and eager to help. There are two drive-through lanes and one drive-through ATM lane. read more

I walked into this place with a headache due to a lack of customer service with other financial institutions. Needless to say my expectations were rather low. HOWEVER! This sweet gal, Destinee - rolled in and saved the day! She was absolutely superb in guiding me through account opening, the mobile app, answered all questions I had about transferring money, and she made great recommendations for the type of savings account to use to get the most bang for your Buck. There were even technology issues (I mean, when isn't there?) and she handled it like a champ. She got 'er done and was smiling the whole way through. I would recommend this bank to anyone looking for someone that will genuinely walk you through the process of switching funds and account opening. I needed to close my Chase business account after finding out about their role in the DAPL debacle. Our realtor recommended this place and I did some research on their site to see what fees they had and whatnot. Turns out their small business checking is completely free, the catch being that you "only" get 250 transactions a month before being charged $.20 per transaction. Since I probably do less than 100, this was ideal for me. I walked into the branch on a Tuesday afternoon. There was no sign in sheet or anything like there is at big banks, so I poked my head into one of the cubicles and asked the woman who I would talk to in order to open a new account. She gave me a big smile and invited me in. We talked about what my business did, what I needed for it and how they could help me with it. I had the EIN from the IRS and my LLC paperwork from the Secretary of State. Despite that, they had to pull my credit to list me as co-owner of the account (what the heck?) I wasn't happy about that, as I'm rebuilding my credit and didn't want the ding for the inquiry on it. She took a look and gave me a little bit of helpful advice, then finished opening the account. In the meantime, my (very energetic) four year old was playing in their play area. Once the other kids left she got bored and began wandering around, bothering the other tellers and employees. I tried to split my attention between her and Kim (the woman working with my account) but it's hard to do. The tellers were so sweet with her, giving her a coloring page and crayons, as well as a pencil that changes colors when you rub it (hello, hypercolor shirts!) They gave me a debit card on site. This made it super easy for me to establish my insurance, because THAT company needed banking information. If something happens to your card, you can get a new one at any branch. They also have a feature on their app where you can turn off your card temporarily if you (like I have) misplace your purse or wallet but know it's somewhere safe like your car or house. Overall, a really good experience. Since it's still a new account, I will update in a few months with input on how everything is being handled! read more

Sadly, my review is NOT positive! I WAS a member for several years and really enjoyed my membership BUT recently fell into financial hardship due to the loss of employment. Unknown to me is that my daughter's account was a joint account with me because I signed her up before she turned 18. My daughter was worried about our financial crisis and reached out to a man online who convinced her he would help her financially. Long story short it ended up as fraudulent and both accounts were frozen and payments for my bills were sent back. Tried to work with the fraud department and they did NOT care at all! Ended up getting a loan from a different bank for $900 to pay for the fraud and closed all accounts! Chris from the fraud department said that I deserved it...didn't know about the fraud deposit until afterwards..but I deserved it. read more

Since ICCU sold our information to an outside insurance vendor we have been getting non-stop solicitations from them. Now, that company has sold our information and we are getting weekly mailings from other insurance companies. This will never stop and it all started when ICCU sold our information without our permission. There is absolutely no respect for our privacy or our financial information at ICCU Wish I'd never opened an account. read more
