Coach Nicole is great and warm with the kids, and the space is very large. They have a huge gym space for sports play and obstacle courses (which the kids can design and build) as well as a second obstacle course area and a separate trampoline room. In addition to the 3D printer and VR headsets, there are lots of Legos, circuits, and all sorts of build and design type activities. My son came back exhausted every day. I also saw a noticeable improvement in his confidence and abilities in navigating obstacles at other play gyms we have been to since. It's not the cheap camp, but it is well worth the price. We will be sure to come back and sign up up for additional sessions throughout the year.

The teachers take time to teach them reading and writing and all the basic learning skills to prepare them for Kindergarten. My husband and I love their curriculum and daily activities. We were sorry we had to move out of the area otherwise our children would still be going to Future Leader Learning Center.

However, I broke my wrist there. All they gave me was a pat on the back. Not even a free session? When I asked what they loved about it they said "The games, the challenges and the counselors never once yelled at us." I marvel at the activities the counselors come up with to keep the kids engaged and laughing all day, even in sweltering heat. I also love that you can see highlights every day on Instagram. It's all about the counselors, they are kind, patient, inclusive and so positive, even in the face of rowdy behavior. I like what our kids are learning and we promised them they can go there all summer next year :)

I was even sent an email stating the my initial period will end on 12/25 after which my subscription will be renewed on a month to month basis. Lo and behold, I was charged ONE month into my initial period and when talking to someone today, I was told that it would have costed 400 something otherwise. None of that makes any sense and it's pretty sh*tty for a small business to do in such times like these. If my son liked this and wanted to continue, I would have gladly continued after the three month initial period but this type of shady business practice completely turns me off from this company. PARENTS, BEWARE!!!! This place is so scammy and I'd rather look for a private coding tutor. adding a snippet of the email sent to me. Any normal person would read this is after the three month period, I would be charged. *update a bit after: Getting it refunded but still losing the $99 for the initial period and he's gone to ONE class. Can't be mad about it, only upset with myself for being duped.

I understand this was a summer camp but their robotics teachers were teenagers! Some had great communication skills but do these kids really have the patience to be working with a classroom of 15+ kids? Their website is not up to par with the camp. My brother said he liked the camp but he felt like he was helped for the first 10 minutes then it was hard getting help again. So much so, my son doesn't want to leave by the end of the day. We are considering the drop in program so he can continue his fun throughout the year. There are some stand out teachers here that really care about the kids and try their best. *My advice would be if you have a special needs child to call ahead of time and talk things out with Mike( owner and manger). I did have a negative experience with one teacher. I don't really know what she was thinking! It was her fault that the bully knew my child struggled with (dyslexia) reading. I had informed the front desk that he would need assistance and was reassured this would not be a problem at camp. The young woman had the audacity to walk up to my child Point to her shirt and ask him to read it. Why the hell she thought that was a good idea, I don't know! Even when I tried to talk to her about it, all she could do was dodge the questions repeat I'm sorry with a tremendous amount of anxiety. She explained "I did it just to see if he could and it was not in front of the class". Yet the boy across from my child heard everything and immediately took advantage of this knowledge along with this buddy. This disruptive child seemed to have control over most of their peers due to the fact that they feared his bullying would intern be turned on them. Upon pick up, three days in a row I observed how disrespectful the child was to the teachers. This young boy created a very dysfunctional classroom environment! I believe the teachers and the owner did their best to correct the situation as it was brought to their attention. As my child attempted to defend himself his reactions became noted by the staff as engaging. My son is a black belt. I'm not worried for his physical well-being! I was concerned for his mental well-being. My son explained to me that he had to ask the teachers to move the child to a new location After he needed to scream at for the child to leave him alone. Thankfully they listened, and this seems to help some. The ignorance of the young woman choosing to test my child rather than take my word for it caused a lot of issues and unneeded distress! She is to blame, and unfortunately I don't feel she actually comprehend what transpired due to her choice. Even after talking to her and apologizing she still lacks comprehension. Some additional staff training would be helpful in this scenario. I do want to note this is a new business. They are going to need to keep working out the kinks as they deal with children from all different backgrounds and the parents with different levels of involvement. *My advice to the owner is to never say that a mother should not be concerned and should let their child work it out on their own because they are Old enough in his perception. He insinuated that I was doing some form of helicopter parenting, enabling my child from developing independence. I'm sure if my child had a roundhouse kicked the child in the chest he would've been singing a different tune. I know for a fact that this was a concerning situation! Thankfully the dysfunctional child was not there this week, so we could and have had an authentic experience without his disruption. If he returned and the situation continued, I was going to addressed the parents my self!

We wanted to love this summer camp at St. Stephens/St. Agnes last year and given the cost…read more(approximately $1K/week for two kids), we thought for sure it would be a great experience for our kids. Sadly, it was a decidedly mixed bag. On the positive side, there's a wide range of activities for kids to choose from. Regardless of their interests -- sports, Legos, animatronics, chemistry, fossils, etc -- there's truly something for every kid to do and enjoy (assuming you can get in; when we tried to register our two kids for their top activities on the first day of registration, we were waitlisted for a bunch of things and never got in to most). Also, there were a couple teachers who truly went "above and beyond" as camp counselors. Among other things, they gave superbly detailed synopses each day of the kids' activities and it was clear they cared not only about the kids' safety and well-being while in their care, but also the subject matter. On the negative side.....and this is by no means an exhaustive list.....we were horrified to discover vendors and counselors who lackadaisically allowed kids in my daughter's Roblox camp to watch HIGHLY inappropropriate videos that involved adult themes, as well as graphic and violent content, including violence against women, children, and animals. My daughter was literally traumatized by that experience and was unable to sleep w/o a light on in her bedroom for months. It was also disappointing to hear stories almost every single day from my kids about counselors who did little-to-nothing to curb extreme profanity, bullying, and inappropriate interactions among campers. One of the worst things that happened, however, was hearing from both of my children that a young female camp counselor at Lego Animation angrily called a young camper a "butt face." When another young camper said, "That's not nice!", the counselor said: "What are you going to do about it?! Complain to a counselor? I AM a counselor!" I can only imagine being a child in that camp and encountering such hostile and threatening behavior in a COUNSELOR -- the person who is supposed to make you feel safe while in their care. Here's a thought; how about hiring counselors who actually like kids and don't bully and intimidate them?! Of course, we recognize the impossibility and impracticality of "policing" the behavior of campers and counselors alike; however, it would be beneficial (and undoubtedly much appreciated by parents and campers alike) if the camp had a "zero" tolerance for bullying, intimidation, profanity, and intolerance based on religious beliefs (namely, Christianity). Also, hired vendors should do everything possible to ensure that inappropriate content is blocked entirely from all computer-based camp activities. We passed this feedback on to camp leadership last summer, along with names, dates and details, so hopefully this year's campers will see some vast improvements. After last year's experience, however, we won't be back.
