I am very knowledgeable of supplements, good food, choices, exercise, etc. The PA I met with, continually referenced her mother's breast cancer, which she noted recurred six times, and commented about her nearly the entire hour. Not very encouraging. When I told her, I already knew the things she was writing on the whiteboard, she didn't really seem to have much of a plan. I understand the process of getting blood work to see where my numbers are. But I also brought a notebook full of information, indicating my blood work from only 4 1/2 months ago, which she didn't even look at. I repeatedly told her I did not have blood pressure, blood, sugar, cholesterol, or any other medical issues. That the only medication I take is a hormone blocker since the breast cancer and mastectomy. The breast cancer hit me out of left field, and I do have a genetic mutation. She mentioned the IV therapy, which again, was not something I was seeking. I had a preventative style doctor up until a month before I was diagnosed with cancer because she retired. She was a former ER physician. This experience didn't even come close to the knowledge of my previous physician. I told him I wanted a cryo session and he escorted me to a room where I changed before preparing to enter the chamber. The chamber used here is not fully enclosed, it terminates at the neck area so your head is not exposed to the cold. It is powered by liquid nitrogen, the tanks of which are visible in the room. After entering the chamber, the cold air began flowing in and I withstood the onslaught of cold for two minutes. Wow! How invigorating it was upon exiting, I felt recharged and rejuvenated! The cost of one session was $35.00, which is quite reasonable in my opinion given the health benefits associated with this alternative therapy.
