I have had the best experience working with ICON Plumbing (IP). I am an engineering, metal fabrication and construction teacher with a local high school. Additionally, I am former contractor and hold a couple of business degrees. Listen to me when I say I have a few miles under my belt. I have seen good business models and fly night scammers. I have hired or worked with both sloppy and meticulous craftsman. IP has the best of both meticulous craftsman and stand up old school honesty. Rare find, but they are only a phone call away.
I needed two separate but adjoining shop spaces upgraded. The job required plumbing Oxygen & Acetylene lines from tanks to overhead drops, routing compressed air from a new industrial air compressor to multiple hose overhead hose reels, air lines to multiple machine lathes. Also, installing a refrigerant air dryer. The tricky wild card element of this job was that all of the janky butchered plumbing was tied in to the school fire system. However, no matter how complicated IP can handle it.
What impressed me more than his repetitive scrutiny of his own work was when the owner "Travis" took a long deep analysis pondering a variety of ways to approach the fire system. Ultimately , he and the fire system company agreed upon a path forward.. The path Travis chose reduced his bill by a full $1,000.00!!!! Who does that? The economy is free falling and I approve additional spending. I had already approved a change order. He had the green light. Yet, Travis was not content with plan A. So Travis finds a way to "Save" me money. If you want honesty and old school ethics, you need to call IP. Any other plumbing co. is a roll of the dice. You don't need to try your luck with anyone else. Call ICON Plumbing.
Let me explain what the job flow looked like during the process. IP showed up to the job site everyday as promised and arrived earlier than I did. The job site was cleaned and swept each day, even though the school is closed and the shops are not in use. They knew that, I did not care, but they did. Shops and material staging areas were cleaned and organized at the end of each work day. The apprentice on the site was Jake. Jake was equally hard working too. If all IP employees are equal to Jake, that would be a fantastic place to work and learn. Polite and courteous, professional and focused. No monkey business, all performance and satisfaction driven focus.
Did I mention that he and Jake helped me forklift out the old equipment and set the new one and did not charge me for their time? Or that they cut out and capped off some random odd ball piping in another work space that was non-related, and did not charge me? I can go on a couple of pages more. But, I think you can see a pattern and see the clear picture of what it means to work with or hire ICON Plumbing. You will want to write about your experience and tell others. You need to call ICON plumbing.
Thank you Travis and Jake for an excellent job. Over the Top!!!
