The technicians arrived right on schedule. They were extremely courteous and I asked them to explain the process before they began. The cleaning was thorough as they meticulously went through each vent and the main duct system. As expected there was a slight smell when starting the furnace back up (not dissimilar to how it might smell after being off all summer) but that cleared up quickly. We haven't had them cleaned in the 12 years we've been here (I know, I know...) but I really expected them to be worse. They even replaced the filters on the furnace (I provided them). The pricing was reasonable and comparable to similar services. It took about 3 hours for a 3k sq ft house. We also had them clean out the dryer vent.

They were coming and going throughout the day and there were a bunch of them, including Tony Lescanec and Jim Thomason, and they were all really great guys (I say "guys" because I saw no women on site). I'm the type that wants to know stuff and I asked a lot of questions. They were always courteous and friendly in answering everything I "needed" to know. After the install, they went over each piece with us, including the new fancy thermostat. The system is fantastic - it's so quiet - and it works great! He was by far the most reasonably priced and also had a special that included dryer vent cleaning as well. He was available to come the following day at 8am. How could I say no? He showed up the next day exactly on time, walked the home and then got to work. He found some unexplained rust at the bottom of our furnace. He had a theory about why it was there and after the work was done in the house, turned things on to try and prove or disprove the theory with our AC. I'm grateful because now I know there is an issue and can get it resolved before the summer when we will need the AC. He also found that our ducts were not connected under one room of our home. He let me know and then offered to repair them for a minute additional expense. Done! He even tried to fix a weatherproofing strip that popped up while he was here! Pricing was transparent and communication was excellent, and the technicians called when they were on their way and arrived right on time. While inspecting the ducting, they discovered a section that needed to be fixed. My home warranty would cover that fix, but only if I use their approved contractor. So I couldn't have J&M Services fix the duct nor clean the ducting that day. They ended up only charging me for the dryer vent cleaning that they were able to complete that day.
