Horrific!!! Run...run fast!!! My baby girl and my whole family went here for 5 yrs. We lived the staff. They were so sweet. Unfortunately the dentist was awful. My baby had to undergo extreme torture to correct all the cavities they told me didn't exist for 5 yrs. I took her there from gums to 5yrs old. When she started grinding her teeth. We then found out they were NOT a pediatric dentist office. They lied to me for 5 yrs!! The new dentist was amazing, but all in the room holding back tears as they had to address the negligence from the previous dentist office. As for me, they filled my cavities and when I told them my bite was not matching up she just randomly started drilling teeth, rolling her eyes to just shut me up . Obviously this did not fix the problem and seven years later. I finally have been able to find a Dentist who was willing to try after the disaster she had made.. for seven years. I've been grinding my teeth in order to eat to chew! The Icon Dentist made me get a mouthguard which only aggravated my TMJ and put me out hundreds of dollars. I honestly should sue them and M thinking about it since it's been about seven years and my daughter and I are still struggling from the negligence and lies that these so-called dentists dished out! read more

I have been seeing the same dentist at Icon for over 20 years. I have very bad teeth and Dr. Larissa has been very understanding in helping me cope with them over these years. Always giving me options for treatment and not pushing me one way or another. I especially appreciate this practice accommodating me at times that I couldn't afford what I needed, with several ways to finance care I had to have. I don't really understand the negative reviewers here, although I know you can't always please everyone. But Dr. Larissa is an excellent dentist; surely the most experienced and skilled dentist I've ever had. I have found her knowledge level and creativity to be superior to any other dentist I've had. I ask a lot of questions, and she is always able to explain patiently and in detail what's going on in my mouth and what my options are in a way that I can fully understand and make decisions. I'm sorry some people have written so angrily here, but I don't trust medical professionals easily and I completely trust her. We are lucky to have her in practice in Lexington. read more

They ripped me off by making me get numerous unnecessary crowns. Other dentists said my teeth were normal. However, the dentists at Icon Dental made me get numerous crowns. These crowns kept giving me problems. I had to do implants because these crowns got broken. They are scam artists. read more

I totally agree that they are frauds/scammers! In early 2022, they made an accounting/billing mistake by charging me twice for the same screening/cleaning service by claiming that I have done exactly the same thing at two different locations on the same day. I called my insurance company and got clarification of everything and then contacted Icon Dental, asking them to correct their mistake. The receptionist told me they've figured out what's going on and I don't owe anything. That was in mid-2022. I thought everything was settled. Today, a year and half later, however, I received a statement from them showing the incorrect balance, plus $100 finance charge and $50 late fee! And a threatening note: "balance is over 10 months. A payment must be made before December 30th to avoid additional late fees & collections" All they do is to exploit their patients for their own accounting/billing mistake. If I could give a 0 star, I would! I'm not going to pay a penny for their mistake and I'll do everything at any cost to protect my own rights. read more

They are frauds/scammers. They asked me to do numerous crowns for the normal teeth that do not require crowns. I paid thousands of dollars for crowns. To make the maters worse, the crowns that they did were broken. Thus, I have to pay thousands of dollars to do implants and crown because the crowns that they did were broken. In summary, these scammers caused me to pay thousands of dollars for the normal teeth that do not require crowns. Be wary of these scammers! read more

I have been a patient with Icon Dental in Lexington for 20+ years, and I've never had a bad experience. Dr. Ahn has always been kind and professional. I have had fillings, crowns, and root canals with no problems. Dr. Ahn also designed a beautiful bridge, which I desperately needed. I even get compliments on my teeth, thanks to Dr. Ahn. My routine care, cleanings and such, are always a pleasure with the gentle and professional hygienists on staff at Icon Dental in Lexington. My two daughters love it there as well! I never had a problem getting either one of them to the dentist. I initially came to Icon Dental because I had a filling with another provider that resulted in intense pain. After two visits to remediate the problem my pain only increased. I then asked to see the director of the practice, who had been my dentist for a few years, and was told that I could not make an appointment with him and could only see the dentist who did the filling. Since he couldn't fix the problem after two more attempts, I chose to call Icon. When they heard I was in severe pain, they saw me right away (late one Friday), and were able to adjust the "bite" and end the pain. I have been with Icon ever since, through several staff changes, with no problems. The current staff is, in my opinion, stellar! I am so happy with Dr. Ahn and his staff, that I changed my insurance a few years ago just so I can stay with them. Icon Dental is like family to me. That's how I feel whenever I'm there because of the warm and friendly atmosphere that greets me for every appointment. Going to the dentist is rarely considered fun, but Icon Dental in Lexington is as good as it gets! read more

Yesterday and today I got 3 phone calls from her asking if I can come in any earlier than my scheduled 3PM appointment, and for that reason I was considering leaving. If I could give this practice ZERO stars, I would! I once had a giant fear of dentists, but after getting a root canal, tooth crowning, filling, and my wisdom teeth pulled in ONE month, my fear disappeared thanks to an awesome denstist, endodontist, and oral surgeon (all in California). Moving to Massachusetts 3 months later, this place brought all that fear BACK. My husband and I are stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base, and this place is a quick 10 minutes from base. But I STRONGLY advise all my fellow military personnel and spouses/families to AVOID THIS OFFICE AT ALL COSTS!! Making the appointment was easy. Checking in with the front desk receptionist was great. She's a total sweetheart. My "comprehensive oral evaluation" by Dr. Turkenich lasted 20 seconds (billed $46.00 to my insurance). After a quick glance at my teeth, she sent me to her hygienist, and I had to get up and move to another room. The hygienist spent another 10-15 minutes scrambling to get someone to help her and get all her equipment organized. This dental office seems completely unorganized. I initially asked the hygienist to apply the topical numbing gel before she begins. She said, "Let me know start, and then you can tell me how you feel after and if you still want it." I already knew I should expect pain which is why I initially REQUESTED the numbing gel. Instead, she starts without it, and the pain I was expecting was TRIPLE times worse. The lady she had come in to help her with the suction did nothing but kept hitting my lip with the suction while I had to get up on my own to spit out the saliva and water building up in my mouth. After the hygienist finally agreed to apply the numbing gel, she comes back with a syringe digging it into my gums so abruptly that I got so pissed and yelled at her that she was hurting me (I was even shocked at myself for raising my voice!). She continued the cleaning, and halfway through I had to stop her because there was so much pain (intense pain shooting down my chest and arms) that I literally told her "WE'RE DONE." I've never reacted that way to any dentist/doctor/etc. but she was hurting me SOOOOO bad. It was WORSE than my root canal, my wisdom teeth recovery, AND MY DRY SOCKET. I didn't let her finish the cleaning so she only cleaned the bottom half of my teeth. She then proceeded to tell me they needed to do x-rays so that when I come back I can get the deep cleaning done. I declined the x-rays and told her that I will not be returning to this office. At the check-out, all the dentist did was apologize to the hygienist saying "I shouldn't have had you do this one" and just looked at me like everything was MY fault. On top of that, my insurance notified me that they they billed them for a "COMPREHENSIVE ORAL EVALUATION" (20 seconds would hardly count as comprehensive), the full dental cleaning, AND FOR FOUR XRAYS (when I declined the xrays). To me, that's fraudulent to charge my insurance for services I DID NOT RECEIVE. I had a horrible experience here, I will not be returning, and I definitely do NOT recommend this dental office to anyone. Unfortunately writing on behalf of my husband who will not return to this dentist after last experiences. Their patient/doctor manners are terrible - specifically speaking a different language (Russian?) in front of the patient when there are clearly internal office issues going on. Secondly, my husband had to to have a few teeth addressed for fillings and potential root canals. They knew from the start what work was anticipated and that clearly our insurance would only cover so much. Instead of tackling the bigger issue teeth - for which turned out required a root canal, they ate through the insurance coverage for smaller fillings and things that could have afforded to be handled the following billing year. Instead, when the last tooth was addressed and we didn't have the funds left they said they could temporarily fill it since they weren't sure if it needed a root canal (it did...). Well it did not help and my husband called letting them know he had been in pain and was getting headaches. He had a scheduled appointment for that week regardless so they told him to come in for that. When he did and he reminded them of his pain they looked at him as if he should have told them earlier (he did) and that they wouldn't be able to do anything that night because they contract out their doctors for the root canals.... So needless to say, we got our money back for the pointless filling and he was able to be seen that night AFTER HOURS at Family Denistry in Lexington with the great staff of Dr. Puschak and his wife. They found a crack in his tooth and were able to manage his pain with a correctly done filling until we can schedule the root canal for next month when insurance has replenished. I highly recommend Family Dentistry over Icon for their professionalism, customer service, and office organization. read more
