Communication was poor. He filed them down too much, because now it's almost August and they are still thinner than they used to be. Had no idea my 3rd manicure ever was gonna ruin my natural nails. Stop talking people into acrylics so you can get more money ya jerks. I have NOT painted them since the one time after this so they wouldn't break. (And that was wish regular polish ONCE) Regular polish last less than 2 weeks.

I am not one to normally write bad reviews as I am a business owner, myself; however the more I think about and tell friends about my experience today I can not leave it unsaid. I am visiting from out of town and came in to get my nails done this afternoon. I'm not sure of the lady's name, but she was in the back towards the sink at the first chair and had a cup that was pink and white with bows on it. I explained to her that I had hard gel on my nails and that I did not really care if she wanted to fill them in with hard gel, or completely take everything off and do a full acrylic set. Whichever was easier was fine with me as I was a walk in and it was busy at the time I was there. I was under the impression that she was going to put acrylic over the hard gel that I already had on, so I said again "this is hard gel on my nails right now". She got an attitude and said "I understood you the first time!! You've already told me that" When she started drilling my nails, she asked if my last set was from there and I told her no, I normally do them myself because I am a hairstylist and stain them with color so I normally do not pay to have them done. She responds, "well that explains why they look so bumpy". I thought this was rude. The last straw for me was before I even knew what my total was or got out of my chair, she asked if I was tipping cash. I find it extremely rude (as someone who is in the same line of work and receives tips, I would NEVER ask a client about how they were tipping as I do not EXPECT a tip EVER and especially before I tell someone their total). I am not asking for a refund or anything along those lines and my nails really do look great, however, I was not impressed with the customer service I received today and thought someone should know about it. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything was kept- sealed, sterilized instruments, disposable nail files and scrubbers. The techs wear gloves. $20 basic pedi, $25 for the next tier up (adds hot towels and sugar scrub, very worth it). They were careful to make sure what I wanted before they started (excellent practice, avoids overcharging). My tech was friendly but not too chatty, and she was very good at her job. This is the first place I've been that's gotten enough callouses off- really took her time and made sure I was taken care of. There is a nice mix of male and female techs and a varied clientele- not a snobby atmosphere! Complimentary wine for the 21+ set. Best experience I've had for the price (and frankly, this beats more expensive pedicures I've had) between DC, Knoxville, and Kingsport. We're very lucky to have quality like this locally!

However after getting home I felt calluses still on the bottom of my feet, is the muscle massage that upsets me the most. He applied the lotion the massaging lotion then the massage did the hot tail wrap after it was all over he started spraying alcohol on the bottom of my legs and my feet when I asked him why he said it made it look prettier. Later on that evening when I got home I started itching severely on my legs and my feet it seems as though the pouch for massaging and the alcohol go against each other. I have scratched my legs and my feet so much it looks like I have chicken pox I've had opened up wounds where I've just dug at it in my sleep. I will be calling her when the shop opens cuz she needs to give me another free pedicure her the lady that owns the place, then I will never return there for as a customer for anything. When I had my Alice extension applied there she cut my natural lashes and that is not what you do, when I have my eyebrows done they were both they were uneven they didn't look the same and for the amount of money you pay there you should get what you're expecting. I've never had problems since I've been going to that salon for years but now it's time to leave there's too many people going in and out of there as technicians you cannot keep a regular one there to know what it is you like and what you need. The one taking out like that was there is now gone and everyone used her!
