Also, one of the two sushi chefs was not wearing a mask. Then a server walked out of the kitchen with plates to deliver with no mask on. I know the county has left the decision of keeping us safe up to the individual owner but I feel there was too much exposure to the food so I did not purchase my order. read more

Don't spend too much time up this way, but usually it's for a family outing of some sort. We went to the movies and go out a little late (at least for this area, like 830/9) and options are limited. Right next to the theatre was this spot, so we took the plunge. It's cute, clean, dark sparkly granite for tables, with booths and bar seating available as well. We got a couple of items, baby octopus, a basic roll, chirashi, and the server did a good job on the upsell of a soft shell crab/tuna bowl. The octopus was pretty decent, a pretty good potion for an app. It wasn't too chewy, seasoned well enough to crush the whole thing. The bowl was alright. Not my favorite. But really the service was good enough to not care. Chirashi was a little different than I'm used to. Now not too many people have had this dish or know of it- it's typically a single Portion bowl with a base of sushi rice, and then topped with a chef's selection of sliced fish, salmon roe, and garnish. It's a pretty simple item, and even if it's not on the menu, the chef is excited to make it. Here they kind of reversed it. They inverted the arrangement in a bowl, but then turned it over onto the plate.... so like a sushi dome. Still pretty good. The massive drawback that kinda ruined the whole thing was the staff starting to clean. Don't get me wrong, pre cleaning and prepping to close at this hour is expected, even a limited menu makes sense. But right about 930 they're started mopping the floors with a bleach solution. The smell just permeated the air and it became the only thing I could taste. Needless to say, we left without finishing because of this. Sweeping and using a washcloth for the tables is normal, but slathering br floor with bleach is over the top, or just a passive aggressive message to get out read more

This is our first time here and being Asian, my expectations were pretty low given my experience on majority of Asian restaurants in Palm Beach County. This restaurant blew everything we ordered out of the ballpark! The tonkatsu ramen was to perfection, the tempura beautifully presented and the sashimi was so fresh the salmon melts in the mouth! This is our goto thai and sushi place! We moved to Stuart 2 years ago from downtown ft lauderdale so we are a bit picky. My guy always gets the curry or Pak ke Moi! And I love their homemade crab Rangoon and dumplings, hard to find homemade stuff like that! I prefer to order and pick up because I live close and like to support the small business instead of delivery apps. It's a small family business without a lot of staff so it's important to support. Lovely experience, overall! My family used to visit the previous restaurant that was in this same location (Thep Thai), but were delighted by our recent experience at the updated Ichimaru. They have full Japanese and Thai menus with extended sushi offerings. I had the pad see eew (my go-to Thai dish) with tofu - there was an option for either steamed or fried tofu, which I appreciated, and the pad see eew was delicious (lots of broccoli and scallion). My husband had the pad kee mao (delightfully spicy - I snagged some) and my parents were both over the moon for their shared crispy chicken fried rice, which they thought was perfectly crispy without being greasy or bogged down. Next time, I'll plan to explore the Japanese side of the menu more, which included ramen. The best part about this place is the service, though - very friendly. They work hard to earn your favor here. read more

Food was very fresh and was very good but it took forever just to get our food. We were the only table of two seated in the whole restaurant and we ordered two rolls and an appetizer. Our app came out after 25 minutes of waiting and our rolls didn't show up for over forty minutes. Glad they were fresh but I've never had such slow service! read more

The best spicy tuna roll, is the reason for the 1 star. The service? I took my mom here and warned her the service is horrible but the food is good. We got our dumplings and I ate one that was super cold, brought it back. The serve gave me only 3 back and not the one I ate, petty but It was fine. NOW, the last roll we got was super fishy didn't taste as fresh as normally so I explained. They were 45 min to close so I get it .. The server interrupted me and said "I cannot refund ur sushi because you didn't leave a tip last time and u always have a problem when something's cold" THEN CONTINUED TO EXPLAIN, if you don't like something you have to let me know before you eat it" WHAT?! Lmao. THEN continued to tell me he works on tips and told me his wage. I'm baffled at this point, I said, sir I'm sorry but I didn't know the inside was cold before I ate it, and I didn't tip last time because I had to wait AN HOUR for someone to remember we were outside and even longer for the check.. when we ordered ONE sushi roll and there were three other people dining. Long story short, I tipped 50% to show him it's not that I'm broke or cheap, you're service just sucks. The two female servers/hosts are way overworked and the manager would rather jump off a bridge than serve me the extra dumpling I ate that was cold.
