Tons or seafood choices but most importantly something for everyone and they consistently keep it full and clean. Just got back. I tried all kids of items and could not find one that any that could be described as hot. Terrible, 19.91 wasted on what was food that had be sitting too long and a system that did not keep the food hot. Should have complained after the first 3 items. Odder still as the place was packed and you'd think the turn over would have resulted in reasonably hot food. I'm not one typically to frequent buffets of this type. They sorta gross me out as the clientele can sometimes be less then socially acceptable. However, when you have fri meds that have what seems like a million children and they want to go out to eat, you politely oblige to their choice of eatery lol. With that being said, This establishment is what you would expect at a traditional buffet. A mix match of all styles of food. From traditional salad bar, meatloaf and mashed potatoes to southern style chicken, greens, Mac &cheese, to seafood, as well as a large variety of Asian foods and of course desserts. Sushi is available as well. The food wasn't horrible. The Asian food was much less tasty then what you would order from a typical Chinese take out restaurant. The sushi presented well but I opted out as it was sitting out and this just freaks me out with raw fish sitting out and people breathing on it. The traditional American food was ok. A few complaints, we went on a Sunday and the pricing was not as advertised. The pricing is higher on Sundays and it seemed they charged just as much for children under 12 as the adults. The staff was dismissive and were not wanting to accommodate our large party as we had to put our own tables together and then they complained because we had a few empty seats at our table. They wanted every seat filled or take a small section of table away. Ummm, no one wants to sit in top of each other eating. Once all settled the staff constantly were watching us to see how long we were there. Now I understand that it's a busy Sunday afternoon but we paid for all you can eat and it doesn't say an allotted time period. So all in all, I personally would not dine there again. I feel they are over priced for a Sunday and rude. It's not a high quality buffet yet they bump the price up due to demand on Sundays. Came here based on a recommendation from a family member. The food I got was not good. The general tsos chicken was disgusting. Shrimp was undercooked. Generally bad food. When we asked for our a refund, the manager gave us a hard time like we were the problem. She then proceeded to lie to us about the over priced items on our table like 6 dollar drinks, shrimp being 6 dollars a pound. If this was true the food wouldn't be so cheap. I don't go into a buffet like this expecting a five star experience. I'm a realist, I understand that the food is gonna be heavy so it fills you up quicker. I also understand that there aren't going to be a ton of selections, especially going in at 8:30 at night. It is what it is. But tonight's experience was brutal. The sushi tasted funny, the rice was bone dry and hard, the dumplings were burnt, I couldn't peel the shrimp because it was barely cooked. In all fairness, the coconut shrimp and the cheese wontons weren't too bad. Service stunk. Straight up. The place was active, but by no means crowded. Everyone was generally sitting in one area, but they put us off in some corner all by ourselves like we didn't bathe or something (we did, by the way) and forgot about us. We literally went 30 minutes without a drink refill or someone taking an empty plate, and when they finally came over and checked on us we waited another 15 minutes for a cup of ice. I ate, in total, 1.5 plates. The wife didn't quite finish one. I took one bite of ice cream, and the server, without saying a word, walked over and slammed a metal money tray on the table with two fortune cookies and walked away. No thank you, eff you, nothing. It was like they wanted us out or something. That tray stayed empty. Screw that. And now, all I have to show for this is an upset stomach. Boo you, Ichiban. Boo! read more

FYI: They have a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!!!! I don't come to buffet places often. It used to be a thing for my family back when I was in late elementary to middle school but we stopped for years until another Ichiban popped up relatively near our hometown of Voorhees, NJ. Don't know if this is owned by the same people but it was worth a try. PROS: They're selection is pretty large and they have some good variety. Obviously in a "seafood buffet", you definitely have to try the seafood. The scallops were my personal favorite, being creamy and well seasoned all placed on a shell for some presentation points. The stuffed salmon was okay...but the fish didn't really look like salmon to me to be totally honest. Their sushi was also pretty average. Most of their vegetables were pretty well cooked, though there wasn't that much to choose from. They do have a lot going on so definitely go in with an open mind or knowing exactly what your stomach is craving. CONS: Super busy when we got there so the aisles in between tables were kinda hard to navigate. Some of the food was also pretty bland and way over cooked. Not sure how long some of their food have been left out so yeah...but I'm not having any stomach issues yet so at least that's a plus! read more

Good evening to my Yelp Family!!! My family used to visit this location when it was Country Buffet. One day we decided to try this location again with the new Ichiban Buffet. We were not disappointed. The food is good and the expense of it all is not bad. We have visited Country Buffet several times and several times since it has been Ichiban Buffet. On Monday, December 23rd, Mom and I visited and we partaked of the lunch menu. 1 Lunch Buffet was $8.99 and the Senior Lunch Buffet was $8.49. I visited the buffet twice, each time for the Won-Ton soup which was delightful and a salad the first time. The second time, I opted for a main course selection and another bowl of won-ton soup. My mom visited twice also and she opted for fish with vegetables and the second time she opted for pumpkin pie and more veggies and more seafood. The receipt is listed in my pictures so you can view the total prices. We both enjoy patronizing this location. The drinks are provided by servers which you order when you first arrive and pay for your meal. They always ask if you would like water or a drink. The bathroom was pretty clean with enough paper towels in the dispenser. My only complaint about this place is that the food is not always hot enough. Other than that, we enjoy Ichiban Buffet!! I don't walk into a Chinese buffet expecting to receive what I do at Morimoto downtown. The sushi has been delicious every time I've come, the Chinese food is a little bland but still pretty good. I tend not to eat from the seafood bar (oysters, crabs etc.) but did try the salt and pepper prawns and they weren't good at all. The steam tables always appear clean and they are constantly refreshing and checking on them. The seating areas, booths mostly, could use an overhaul. The booths and the walls are slightly dirty with flecks of food or rips which is pretty minor but obvious since the walls are light in color. All the desserts I've had with the exception of the frozen custard is gross though. They're all bland and had mealy textures if that makes sense. This place is overall a family crowd pleaser and none of us leave hungry or feeling sick from the food. read more

Ichiban is tucked away in the Shops at Springfield Park behind all the glitz and glamour. It gets 4 stars for the value - which can't be beat. But it also suffers from poor refilling of items, especially late. For dinner, the highlights are the steamed blue crabs and the grilled LA galbi, which has great flavor and the right amount of char. Their fried items are also pretty decent. The other items are typical of other Chinese buffets - don't expect the best quality - some of the crawfish will be mushy and the sushi is questionable at best. But at their prices $9 lunch/$12 dinner, just stick to the staples and enjoy the meal! read more

The facility is clean and the staff is courteous. However, even on the scale of Chinese buffets in the world, the food is pretty bad. I've been to buffets all over this great state of Pennsylvania and this has some of the driest, mealiest meat and substances known. The salt level of my blood is rising and rising. If you are a senior citizen reading this, the lunch deal is probably fine. Otherwise, with a drink and tax, you're over $11 for a normal adult human. Not worth it in my opinion. You have a "Western" food station of meatloaf and meatballs, both of which I'm not sure are made of actual four legged mammal "meat", as the meatballs had a very bizarre interior and it wasn't just overcooked beef or pork. Also on this station is pizza, mashed potatoes, slabs of dry ribs and gigantic heating tray troughs of melted and steaming butter and gravy. Another station is completely fried. Burnt french fries, capitalist "Meat-X" derived chicken nuggets, pure "fry" exoskeleton moltings that passed for egg rolls, sweet & sour chicken, crab rangoons, etc. Another is generic Chinese american things. Chicken and broccoli, General Tso chicken, black pepper chicken, beef stir fry, etc. The black pepper chicken was probably the "best" thing I ate here, which isn't saying much. It was the only thing in the entire place that had a taste of any spice or seasoning beyond "salt" and "something vaguely sugary". Last entree line is fish. I didn't touch any of these as every section - blue fish, baked oysters, octopi, were completely full and I went around 2PM. As much as I love seafood, I am fearful of shopping plaza seafood that's been out for 4+ hours and where every patron is over 70 human life cycles long. There's also a grim salad bar that looks like NASA sent a transmission into space in the late '60s with the sections of a "salad bar" and aliens received it 5,400 light years beyond our galactic arm and tried to duplicate it with none of the Earthly ingredients available. On the side is a sushi bar. I tried a few roll pieces and they looked and tasted a dried up skeleton's spine that was dug up from the desert, canned, then re-hydrated two millennia later. Dessert is featured as well. There was pumpkin pie (a frightening sight when it's an 80 degree day in April), chocolate cake, a variety of diabetes inducing sugar buns and of course, pudding. People will say "It's a buffet, you can eat as much as you want and there's something for everyone!" Well, landfills fit the same description. read more

This is an above average Chinese buffet at a reasonable price. Are all the dishes amazing? No. But you don't expect that when you go to a cheap buffet. You just expect variety, and you have plenty of that here. This is one of the largest I have seen, and as a bonus it has a hitachi bar so you can have food cooked right in front of you, a sushi bar with about supermarket quality sushi (that alone makes it worth the price - I have paid more for far less from fresh grocer and whole foods), a soup bar, an American food bar with mediocre comfort food, a salad bar, a fruit bar, and a dessert bar complete with soft serve and a chocolate fountain. I also liked the crab wontons. Not a fancy date night type place but a good and cheap place to hit up alone or with some relaxed friends. I've been waiting for this place to open for weeks, since I stare at it every time I head over to the gym next door and I'm super pregnant... First off - you cannot beat the price; especially if you stick to fresh hibachi and sushi stations. Second - being a buffet, I got to try a little bit of everything to satisfy my random cravings: lo mein, roast beef, fried chicken, green beans, ice cream, chocolate fountain, and so much more... Of course, don't expect it to be the world's greatest buffet (that has to be Ichiumi in New York) BUT you can get a good value on your meal for any size appetite. I'm a huge seafood lover, I can't go one week without craving it! When I was in California, my all-time favorite seafood buffet would charge about $25/person (Ouch! My wallet!). You can't beat the price at Ichiban's, that's for sure. Although it's not the BEST buffet out there, it's affordable with decent food selections. I've been here about 3 times, and left happily with a full belly. They have a sushi bar with the basic selections of nigiri- I usually request the chef to slice up some fresh salmon sashimi for me. The salmon grade was okay, maybe a B, but it still tastes good so I have no complaints. As mentioned above, I LOVE seafood. Every time I go here, I usually have around 4-5 plates of crawfish total. Now I normally prefer my crawfish seasoned Louisiana cajun style, like Boiling Crab- but this is still delish! Usually have to dig from the bottom of the tray up though, it gets cold real fast for some reason. They also have steamed blue crabs, but they usually only have males, so I opt out. Their steamed clams are huge, and tastes okay (I prefer raw clams). What I don't like about this buffet is that they do not have steamed crab legs... only on special occasions. It really bums me out, because more than sushi, and more than crawfish, I love me some crab legs dipped in butter. So I believe that's where I knock 1 star off. Oh, there's also raw oysters, but I personally wouldn't eat it (they're not cleaned properly, so you might get a tummy ache). I can't really tell you much on how the other food's like, because I mainly just come here for the food I mentioned above. For non-seafood lovers, they also have steak, pasta, rice, fried chicken, dumplings (I think, if I remember correctly), prime rib, salad, and different kinds of soup. For the dessert, you have the chocolate fountain and the frozen yogurt machine that's worth mentioning. They have a selection of cakes and whatnot, but they're usually pretty unpresentable. Perhaps it's the customers who made it that way. Anyways, 4 out 5. I would definitely keep coming back here for my seafood fix. It's cheap and does the job, why not? read more
