We have taken to going at about 10 o' clock at night when we can whip round quickly. Still a fair few people doing their shopping then. Haven't tried going at 2 in the morning though - you would probably have the run of the place at that time. A good selection of organic products.

Instead you need to go around the back along "The Backs", about 50 yards from Chesham Underground station. There's plenty of parking and, like all Waitrose, great selections of beautifully presented Wines, Fruit and Veg, and all things "posh nosh". The trolleys require a pound coin to release them & are still geared to take the old £ 1 coin which means you often end up with a jammed slot. Unlike many town centre car parks , you have to buy a parking ticket & reclaim the cost at check out - if you have spent enough to warrant a refund. In store cleanliness is poor. Stocks , particularly of fruit & veg are consistently hit or miss as to availability & if you want to get the freshest veg you often have to lift off an upper tray of older , less fresh goods to access it. For the last 3 weeks Smart Shop has been unavailable via the stores hand sets with no explanation as to why. I downloaded the app for it on my ' phone & it will not scan. Labelling can be misleading with the wrong label by a product. Best check closely before going to pay. Today I shopped at about 2 pm. At checkout there was only 1 till open & a long queue of at least 10 people waiting to use the self service tills. Last week my wife used smart shop on her ' phone & had to have ALL her shop re checked at the end by a member of staff who gave no explanation as to why. Not a time saver at all , just cheaper & easier for Sainsbury's! The only good thing to say regarding shopping here is that the Nectar offers are good - if in stock. Please , please , another Supermarket rival come to Chesham

This supermarket has now been brought out by the co-op. It…read morehas been fully refurbished, and offers a good selection of grocery items. There is a much larger freezer section than previously and the store is well laid out and easy to get around. It now also contains the post office which used to be in the local newsagents, this is often very busy as two of the other local post offices have gone. They also sell newspapers and magazines and you are able to play the National Lottery here. There is free parking in at the front of the store, and also a small carpark on top of the shop.
