I usuallu use the smaller Tescos on the other side of town and do find this one rather large and tiring to go around but it does make a change once in a while. There are alot of tills and we have never had to queue too long when going there, it has a huge car park and a petrol station.

It's also a fantastic source of frozen fish other than your bog standard cod or haddock, such as red mullet. There's a good vegetable section although if you know what you're cooking in advance some of those ingredients can be found cheaper elsewhere (most of the major supermarkets sell mooli (long white radish) and fresh ginger nowadays). If you're someone who's careful about best before dates then it's worth checking them first on some products here as they can sometimes be a bit close.

For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. Has a good selection of the basics you may need and has some good bargains on non food items sometimes. I generally like Sainsbury for the odd thing, and I often go here for their cuts of meat. For some reason they do seem to be tastier with less fat on them than some of the meat available from the other supermarket chains. But when I first visited this store, I was very impressed. The store almost seems too big for the number of customers, there always seems to be plenty of room to get around. The selection of non-food products is extensive, although I still am very choosy about what I buy, & closly inspect the quality of items (particularly clothing). I get the impression that this store isn't as busy as it's size requires it to be, so there seems to be a higher percentage of discount/clearance lines. We've used this store for christmas shopping over the last two years, & I truly believe we've got excellent value for money.
