What a embarrassment, It took 31 minutes from 911 call to door to care for a 12 year old with an unknown mechanism of injury. This 12 year old laid supine on ice with zero professional pre-hospital care for over 30 minutes until the Volunteer first aid ambulance arrived. Further more, I was told by a staff member to hang up from the 911 operator so the front desk could handle this emergency. After which , the Owner was very concerned about looking tough in front of the Police to care for a child in his ice rink. The owner of the ice vault then proceeded to lie about the care that should be given and making up stories about what a 20 year fire and EMS professional had to say. We're lucky this 12 year old child only sustained a head injury... but what if it was a serious laceration or cardiac arrest. P.s. this "owner" had a drill in his hand to remove this child's helmet or cage before medical command arrived. Think it was a Dewalt .... With an extension bit. Would not recommend.. read more

Not the best place, but not the worst. It's relatively cheap with lots of space. But they don't have any kid-friendly options. They say if you want the little penguins kids can use to skate, you have to pay for a private lesson. This is NOT what we were told on the phone, we were told you can just pay extra for the penguin. This rink is great if we ignore that fact that they don't abide by their own rules. When a sign clearly states that all animals except for service animals, they threw out my friends parents so they couldn't watch her special moment at competition. They have a service animal with paperwork in their backpack. This is ridiculous because everything else about this rink is perfect. He even had to leave because the owner of the place was so rude. Ice Vault Arena - Skating Rinks Near Me - Wayne, New Jersey

Came up to the Ice Vault Arena to watch my two nephews play hockey for the Bandits youth hockey club. We had a (artic) blast! The match was against a squad from New York City, and it was very competitive. The local team won 2-1. It was pretty intense, with lots of checking and excellent players on both sides. The Arena has three rinks, and all were in use this Saturday afternoon. It does seem to be a hang out for teens, but there aren't many better places to spend social time together, than skating and eating snacks in the café. Lots of parents, too. Most seem to be there to watch their kids play in the games, but they all seem to know and enjoy each other, and there is quite a lot of socializing in the lobby independent of the kids. Winter rink sports are a much bigger deal up here in northwestern Jersey, than down in Bucks County, Pa. Apparently, the NY Rangers and Islanders have present and past members of their teams living in the area, who have taken an interest in developing the sport at an earlier age, much as they do in Canada and most of northern Europe. For entertainment value, it certainly gives Little League Baseball a run for its money. For athletics, these kids are in great shape and learning team sport cooperation. Kitchen staff looks very musty. Food was cold, and tasted like rubber, they need to hire a new chef. Staff never pays attention and gives back incorrect change. Ordered cheese fries there was a black curly smelly hair in it. Get it together. read more

Our son is going to skate classes after school and we're not too thrilled. Long faces on all staff - NO ONE smiles! His instructor (a female) is mean looking and colder than the ice she glides upon (there, i made it poetic). Never so much as offers a word of encouragement to the kids. The class is half hour and GOD FORBID they start ONE MINUTE ahead of schedule...instead they allow the kids onto the ice right at the start of the class and imagine how long it takes to get 10 novice five-year-olds organized. So the class ends up being 25 mins instead of 30. The place is overall very dirty-looking and dingy. Makes for a depressing afternoon. Best part of the day is getting the hell out of there. read more

Ice Vault is a massive ice skating facility with multiple rinks spread out for practices, games, and public skating. For public skating, the facilities are nice, especially the ice which is well surfaced and maintained. There are no stands for balance while learning to skate, but the rink doesn't get super crowded, so it's not overwhelming for less comfortable skaters. Rentals are pretty cheap and while the facility is pretty spartan, it is a good place to go for skating read more

Management there is terrible! The guy who runs the rink is very rude. And now during COVID with no parents allowed to watch the game they are only offering a paid subscription service to view the games. They wouldn't even let 1 parent in to live stream the games for parents at home. Absolutely ridiculous at a time like this! read more

If I could give this rink no stars I would. I came here to watch my 7 year old nephew play. When we went into the viewing area to watch all the tables in front of the window were taken so I sat on a table to be able to see. The owner asked me to get off the table and I obliged. As I stood to watch leaning against the table he came up again and yelled at me and threatened to throw me when I said I wasn't sitting on the table. My brother is a senior in high school we have been playing at this rink for a while now its ridiculous that fact that you have to pay 6 dollars to watch a high school game and the people that stand my the doors are so annoying every time you walk bac into a rink they go can we see your wrsitband but yet we have been in the rink for the first two periods why do they have to keep asking like really and another is that is one your friends is playing on the other rink you have to pay for another wristband for 6 dollars which is absolute fucking stupid you should be allowed to go into the other rinks to watch other people pay like you don't need people running after to show them my wristband when yet I was just watching the game for the first two period. read more

We came here for my son's travel league against the Bandits. I believe they have 3 rinks, the locker room were clean and the ice surface seem pretty good. The seating was above average, typical butt numbing benches. The food court seem to be pretty big and they have a nice arcade section for the kids. The parking was good and they have a number of good hockey programs. I recommend, for anyone looking for a good rink to play hockey. read more

The worker while I was skating was terrible and I want a refund. I don't feel comfortable while skating because one girl and boy who didn't even seem to work there played tricks on me. Another staff member called one of my friends an idiot while skating past her. I went here before and it was fun but I am not going again ever since this incident. good venue, solid and knowledgeable hockey people. only drawback is parking. not enough. it is frustrating, because they have this massive lawn in front of the rink that is totally useless. it could probably hold 150 parking spots. if you are a player lugging equipment, this is a big deal. otherwise, this is a well run facility and they keep it it very cold and the ice is excellent all year round. read more

Why are the high school hockey games $6 per game? My friends and I went to a game at Mennen Arena for the championship and it was $2... On top of that I need to walk 15 mins to the arena to get in and get treated poorly once we are there. This is a rip off. read more

Live near the rink and have been playing for team peroni for a few years now. Ice has sucked the last year and a half. Just pray you don't go on after a highschool game or practice. They also have a bar upstairs that just opened. I'd rather drink outside with my team then drink shitty draft beer. leauges could be run better, but for the most part I love this rink. read more

My girlfriend and I were skating for the first time yesterday during our first lesson! Great instructor (Karen)! We tried skating the week before but never got off the wall! I really didn't think we would be able to skate. It pays to take a lesson or more. Reasonable price. Only $10 additional for my girlfriend (total $60) for a private lesson. Karen taught us a lot that was nowhere on YouTube or on the internet. Very nice and qualified instructor. Nice modern facility with large snack bar and two rinks. read more

The facility used to be pretty nice, but the conditions are really going downhill - dirty and not well maintained anymore. Unfortunately, the owner/manager yells a lot. Honestly, Ice Vault leaves a lot to be desired. When there is hockey, the snack bar is closed to the rest of the crowd present at the rink between 10.00 am to 2.00pm , as it is reserved for their hockey camp. No one else will be served; you starve. When you enter the building, you are greeted by a big sign on the door saying: NO OUTSIDE FOOD IS ALLOWED!!! SO, STARVE until snack bar reopens. Bear in mind that it is mostly a hockey rink (2 ice sheets) all for hockey, it is very cold and hard ice ---- not much suitable for figure skating. There is no upper level viewing**** all ground level watching***** As one of the postings said: the manager is cold and yelling type: well, yes, it is very true. The staff is all straight-faced, no smile and treat customers/users of the rink with cold attittude, never any smile just to make you feel you are having a big favor to have access to that rink. Do we need that: hey, we have nothing to lose, we go elsewhere and pay elsewhere, Moreover, their ice is warmer and cheaper!!!!! Get that!!!!! As for us and our friends/relatives, we prefer to go elsewhere where we feel welcome and where they appreciate our business. Sure, definitely, absolutely, there are better places to skate than Ice Vault: they are so unprofessional. By far the best rink I've ever been to. Huge locker rooms, the rink is always clean, and the ice surface always great. The pro shop is big and has a large selection of equipment. I've played in rinks all around the tri-state area and I can tell you this is as good as it gets. read more

The homophobic owner did not understand basic english when my friend used the word "provocative". Was kicked out of the arena for using the "family bathroom" because the mens general bathroom was full and had a line out the door. My friends and I were looking to use the bathroom during an intermission and went into the family bathroom. Owner rudely accused us of being drunk, and despite us agreeing to take a sobriety test he never went through. Called a police officer just to escort us out of the building. Suspected us of being up to trouble, despite us just wanted to use the bathroom. If it had been 3 girls that went into the bathroom it wouldn't have been a big deal, but because we're men it was a big deal. Loyal customer to Ice Vault, have been to countless amounts of games over the years, but I am very disappointed in the way this was treated.
