Staff is only interested in you signing the safety waiver and then going back on break. The place is filthy dirty. Staff does not clean. Lights are blown out throughout the play area. Trampolines are worn and very dirty. Extremely hot inside. No ventilation or fans running. No music. Horrible atmosphere. No one is wearing masks. No one is washing their hands ever. Bathrooms are disgusting dirty. Urine and deuces all over. My children could not use the washrooms due to how dirty. No one was cleaning the entire time at the park. Do yourself a favour, avoid going here. They do not care about your safety and it shows. *Update: Not impressed with the lack of response from Get Air. Very unhappy family. Was looking into taking myself and children for covid testing due to the lack of proper covid prevention measures at the park.

However, my 3.5 years old has tons of fun on it too. I like the recycled tire flooring they use. Soft and shock absorbent for little feet and knees. It's located far away enough from the busy streets surrounding it so I don't have to worry about my kids running into traffic. My two "gripes": A. lack of seating. I think this was a design flaw or oversight. It does have a retaining wall that naturally calls people to sit. However, if you understand the way the play structure is designed, the slides come out the opposite side of where the retaining wall is. As a mom, I need to see, and my kids want me to see them slide down and cheer. I can't do that while sitting on the retaining wall. Bummer. Wish they could add a bench or two on the side where the slides are facing. B. the gravel plot right in front of it. It looks like it's under some kind of construction, at least I hope so. Tempting kids to throw rocks or wipe out on it while running around. Other than these two minor details, it's a good playground. I like the location too. When the kids get hungry and it's lunch time, we often go to Superstore and grab a bite.

These days Cornwallis Square is not a hot spot for sad men, but rather a really nice green space in the downtown of Halifax. This is a great spot to go for a picnic when the weather gets warmer and offers enough space to toss a ball around all year round. The square features a really nice statue of Edward Cornwallis (Read a history book) as well as some odd modern art pieces. There is a small playground for children and benches for those just looking to read a book or have some lunch without the risk of grass stains. Overall I would say this is a nice little park to check out all year round, but especially on a sunny day in the summer. If you happen to see a lady getting in and out of a lot of cars, take the advice my mother gave me and do not approach.

Private club for members and guest only allows you to enjoy the beautiful surrounding of the Wag. What this place has in store is what is called the Lido where is normally a chilly 68-70 degree pool equipped with diving boards and slide for the kids. Encased in a great deck you are able to enjoy the sun and then jump right in . A smaller pool is attached for the really little ones that can cool off after playing in the sand. The main pool is heated and will be broken into adult as well as open swims. Two other pools are available but one is mostly reserved for older members. Don't forget the 6 or 8 Tennis courts where you can take lessons or if that is not up your alley there is must more. Sailing, Volleyball as well as Wagg days where the kids are able to enjoy. Now the Wagg would not be what it is if it was not for the great Canteen that they provide to the guest. Fries and Sweet Potato fires with curry dip is a hot thing. There are other things on the menu as well as a little store in the main house for candy and treats. All this does not come cheap between $600-$800 you will be able to have some relaxing fun.

Smack on the Bedford Basin, this is great park for all seasons and ages. For families with kids,…read morethe highlight would be the large playground. It has a rubbery artifical surface which means it doesn't get muddy, and softens trips and falls. The worn-out previous wooden ship playstructure was replaced in Fall 2015. There is a bathroom which is clean, heated and open all year round. As a bonus for those in the diaper way it also has change tables- in both bathrooms. There are lots of benches around the playground so it is easy to sit and keep an eye on the kids. In the Summer, the park is close to cool breezes from the Basin. It is fun to spread out a blanket and watch the ships sailing in and out of Bedford yacht squadron. There is a brick walkway that goes along the waterfront that is great for casual strolls and running. On a clear day you can see all the way to the Narrows. It is kept clear in the Winter so you often see people pushing strollers and older people getting some fresh air.

It is great place to take kids in Summer as there are several trees that you can spread your blanket under for shade. There is also a large sandbox that has a roof over it. There are a bunch of sand toys that are just left there so there is always something to play with if you don't bring any from home. On top of that there are three playgrounds that are suitable for kids from 2 years to about 10. The only thing that would improve it is if there were bathrooms. If you have kids, check this place out!

Not the same rec. centre we used to go to when we were kids! Now, on to the Wave Pool... As I mentioned, I've been going to the Wave Pool since I was a kid. I spent a LOT of time learning backstroke and front crawl in that pool. It seemed deeper back then... Anyways, the pool is still great. It looks almost exactly the same as when I was a kid except there's some new equipment (a climbing wall in the deep end for kids...HOW COOL!!) and you don't have to pay for the inner-tubes anymore! I like this pool because it's good for swimming laps, just hanging out with friends or taking little kids swimming. It's got a gradual slope so it starts about ankle deep and moves out to 6 feet in the deepest part. Every 15 minutes, during family swims, they turn on the waves. Kinda fun as an adult, EPIC FUN as a kid (especially if you can grab one of those inner-tubes!) The place is pretty clean, but be warned: The locker rooms are FREEZING and sometimes have pretty sloppy floors. Other than that small issue, this is an awesome place to take your kids or just go swim some laps!

We just put our daughter into swimming lessons and the instructors seem to do a great job with the kids making sure they are teaching to their level. My lane swims cost me $4.00 even, and the parent and tot swims are $4.50 but we will probably be getting a family pass in the near future. Great place, and if you've never been in a pool with indoor waves, I'd highly suggest checking it out.

It truly is a fun and unique experience that everyone should try at least once!
