This place gets one star for its somewhat decent location, and one for providing a clean room and roof over my head. Besides that, the hotel doesn't offer very much else. Location wise, it's beside the DLR which can be convenient and walking distance to the Excel centre if you need to be there.
We stayed in a twin room, which was clean and nice looking. That's were the good really ends though. The beds are short, I didn't fit and I'm 6 foot 1. There's literally no space to move in the room either. Do not bring luggage because there's no where to put it.
Now for the most bizarre part of the room, the 'bathroom'. I'm not really sure who though up this, but they should be fired. The 'bathroom' looks like a potable pod, something found in a train, except smaller. Imagine a plastic sink, plastic floors, plastic ceiling and plastic walls. It's literally a plastic pod that sits on top of the floor, which you have to step into. It's bizarre, creepy and small. Photos don't do it justice, I'd almost say to stay here just so you can see it. I dare you, step inside, your feet touching the plastic floors, close the door behind you to be enclosed in its teal green-portalo-like structure, experience what nightmares are made of.
Breakfast was provided. Eggs and yogurt were alright. Don't try anything else. I have for you, and yeah, just don't. read more
