I'll just say not all Real Estate agents are created equal... Jesse is a real alpha, if you just let him do his thing and follow his direction y'all won't be disappointed. Our realtor, Craig, was amazing from start to finish. He helped us search for the right place and offered thoughtful, honest advice throughout the entire process. One thing we really appreciated was that we never once felt pressured to make a quick decision. Craig genuinely wanted us to find a home that we loved and that he himself would feel comfortable living in. He was also extremely diligent during the home inspection process, which gave us a lot of confidence and peace of mind. Craig went above and beyond in ways we never expected. He even took the time to make a YouTube video for my husband to show him how to handle a few DIY things around the house. On top of that, he had several hour-plus phone calls with my husband just to walk through the escrow process in detail and make sure we truly understood everything that was happening. That level of patience and dedication meant a lot to us. At one point Craig had even injured his foot, and despite that he still showed up to help us view homes. That kind of commitment really says a lot about the kind of person he is. We also want to give a huge shoutout to Jeremy, our mortgage officer. Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions you can make, and Jeremy did an incredible job walking us through everything step by step. Our loan situation was a bit complicated in the beginning, but Jeremy gave us solid advice and helped us get to where we needed to be in less than a year. He always made sure we understood the financial side of things and felt comfortable with the decisions we were making. Jeremy also showed us that having a strong relationship with lenders and simply being a genuinely good, personable person who's easy to talk to can make a huge difference in getting a loan approved. On top of all his professional accolades and knowledge, he's someone who is approachable and easy to communicate with, which is honestly a rare quality and something that made this whole process so much smoother for us. What really stood out to us about this team is that they're not just a realtor group. They're a group of people who ended up becoming our friends throughout this journey. They made it clear that if we ever have questions down the road, they'll always be available to help, no matter how long it's been since we bought our home. That kind of long-term support means a lot. Overall, the entire team was incredibly helpful, communicative, and trustworthy. We always felt like they were truly in our corner. The constant communication between everyone meant we never went a day wondering where we were in the process. Even though we know they work with many clients, they made us feel like we were their only ones. We're so grateful for their support and guidance during such an important milestone in our lives. And when the time comes for us to buy or sell again in the future, there's no question -- this is the team we'll be working with.

What was most concerning, however, was the lack of basic product knowledge. When I asked specific questions about their services, the employees seemed confused and were unable to provide clear answers. You expect a financial institution to have a baseline level of expertise and courtesy, but unfortunately, this branch missed the mark on both. I'll be looking elsewhere for my banking needs.

The tellers and the manager are incredibly, painfully incompetent and unhelpful and cannot form coherent thoughts, only robotically repeating the same sentence over and over again. They struggle to complete the most basic transactions and refuse to do their jobs. The manager and tellers have terrible attitudes and will bark orders at you like they would a dog--e.g., "GO OVER THERE!!!" while pointing to a different window--since why would they treat all customers equally with respect? Especially if you are Asian, elderly, and/or physically handicapped?? They would much rather harass you while treating all other customers present, who are LatinX, better. I would rather drive further and go to a different location to avoid this headache. How appalling!!

I worked with Marina Oliver and Shell Contizano on a cash-out refinance for one of my vacation rental properties. Because the property has an ADU and my financials involved multiple businesses, a standard loan wouldn't work. Marina expertly guided us into a DSCR loan. Along the way, our title report pulled up an old judgment that wasn't mine and a pending insurance lawsuit. Where other lenders would have backed out or delayed for months, Shell and Marina communicated clearly, told me exactly what documentation they needed (like an identity affidavit and an attorney letter), and pushed the file through underwriting without missing a beat. They put in the elbow grease and got it done. Five stars all the way. Mahalo!

After many hours of extended discussions and emails over many months with the Loan Officer we felt our situation was clear and a subject property for the loan was selected. * We were given verbal assurances that based on the estimates, projections and models shared and discussed, based on the cashflow and DSCR ratio of the property, a loan would be approved. * An appraisal was then requested and ordered by Griffin. We paid $825 for the appraisal fee. * We then stated the loan amount could be adjusted to meet the DSCR ratio requirement. In the meantime, we met on-going, voluminous documentation requests. * Thereafter, the Loan Officer informed us there was a $100K minimum loan policy but agreed to lower the loan amount to $60K in order to obtain approval. At the same time, the Loan Officer stated the appraisal had nothing to do with the loan approval. * Next, we were told that Griffin would not allow an exception to their $100K minimum loan policy and therefore could not approve the loan. The Loan Officer then (again) proposed we switch to a 1st-Lien Refi (requiring a refinance of the entire loan balance from approximately 3% to 9%+, an option we clearly ruled out at inception). * At that point, we requested the $825 appraisal fee be refunded given the minimum loan policy was not made clear at the outset and the Loan Officer stated the appraisal had nothing to do with the loan approval. Surprisingly, our request for a refund was met with immediate rebuttals, reprisals and accusations. When we referred the matter to the CEO of the company noting Griffin's standard email footer "...our CEO would love to hear from you...", after approximately three months we received an email response. Rather than reaching out to discuss the specifics of the situation, address concerns and consider a reasonable resolution, we were again met with absolute rebuttals and refusal to take any further action. Upon expressing our dissatisfaction once more the response was "...refer all correspondence to our attorney...". In our opinion, individuals and businesses seeking real estate funding/loan services are well-advised not to engage Griffin Funding.
