Chuck is THE MAN! As a San Diego Real Estate Broker, in the past 10 years in business, I've worked with a lot of lenders. Some good, some not-so-good, and some that make you NEED people like Chuck to save the deal last minute. The first deal Chuck did for me was for a personal loan. After 45 days and a "full loan approval", my loan was unexpectedly denied last-minute and I was left high and dry with a $10,000 EMD exposed and vulnerable. The agent on the other end was gracious enough to allow be to give Chuck a shot at closing it in 2 weeks. 9 days later, Chuck FUNDED IT. A VA Loan. One that 2 other lenders couldn't get done in 45 days. Since then, Chuck and his team have handled dozens of loans for our clients, and have gone on to save a large handful that had gone sour with other lenders. We continue to recommend Chuck to our clients and our colleagues because we need more great lenders like him. Thanks Chuck! read more

Paul Pisty and Rosie at Leading Mortgage Solutions saved us a lot of money. I was going to close with another lender, and just for the sake of a comparison, I looked at LMS, I was immediately amazed at the loan disclosure, a savings of many thousands of dollars over the other lender. Needless to say, we dropped the other loan which was about to close, and went with Leading Mortgage Solutions. Rosie was an expert with the transfer of all the necessary loan documents that had already been paid for, and had them incorporated into my new loan. The entire process was seamless. We are grateful that Leading Mortgage Solutions was able to do this for us. Interest rates are high, but that is out of anyone's control, we did pretty well considering what the other lender was proposing. read more

Was really disappointed with how this referral played out. Unfortunately I was called a liar by a lending specialist once we were in a loan approval (over the phone). I asked multiple times for documents to be corrected, and ultimately audited the loan estimate closely to find items being included twice, and a huge lack of communication. When they say "zero out of pocket close" this means absolutely nothing. Please confirm several times and screenshot all correspondence. Agent was set to receive 1.79 points from this transaction, on a house built in 1971, with inaccurate paperwork and unnecessary charges. I've gotten my attorneys involved to review all signed disclosures to ensure liability. Please beware. We have chosen to go elsewhere. read more

I've used LMS and specifically, the Mission Valley branch manager Paul Pistey, multiple times, twice for a loan refinance and once for a HELOC, and he and his team make everything smooth and easy. Highly recommend them, especially if you have a VA loan like I do. read more

Still going back and forth with these people. They keep asking for proof of employment on top of paystubs. Isn't a current paystub proof enough? If your employer confirms that you're actively employed, you still need to jump through more hoops? How many fuckin' checks must there be? This process is so long and drawn out. Fuck these people. read more

Paul and Natalie are THE BEST! They worked hard to get us an unreal rate, and stuck through all of the roadbumps of working with the VA with professionalism, kindness and patience. This is our second time working with them and I know it won't be our last. Highly recommend! read more

If you want a dependable, fast working, and on top of his Sh*t person then Chuck LaFlair is your man! I have used Leading Mortgage Solutions more than once over the last year and have always been very satisfied with their end results.Chuck explained everything to us in easy to understand terms. He made sure everything went how I wanted it to go. We purchased our second home from him and then we refinanced thru him as well. He is very easy to get in touch with if I have any questions and always been very professional. He will either text, email or call me back right away! I love that! I hate waiting around for people, and I appreciate that he understands that time is valuable. The whole team is very friendly and quick and efficient. I dealt with Griselda and she was amazing. I would recommend Leading Mortgage Solutions to any of my friends looking to purchase or refi. Chuck makes the process quick and painless and on your terms! Highly recommend them! read more

Review Prompted by Junk Mail & Suspicion - We receive tons of junk mail - just as much as the next person, but rarely does a solicitation come without a way to "Opt Out". These folks are Relentless in their marketing, and the fact that they have set up shop in my back yard (preying on the Military members) has gotten me more and more concerned. As an intelligent person who has previously worked for the owner of a Real Estate Company (who also doubled as a Mortgage Broker), I can say, those people are only looking to make money off of you. That is the bottom line. Here is the official link to the CA Bureau of Real Estate. http://www2.dre.ca.gov/PublicASP/pplinfo.asp?start=1 Look at the bottom of the "junk mail" and check for yourselves. Connect the lines between the dots and make your own smart decisions as a Consumer. It's your right and duty to yourself. read more

Chuck, you got a bit smarter...now you're using presorted postage. :-( that's ok, my shredder does a great job of mulching your garbage. Speaking of garbage, why do you insist on sending me a half dozen letters a month? I've never given a review solely based off of junk mail but you deserve it. You win - most annoying junk-mailer I've ever had. read more

Terrible advice given from these folks. In the process of a cash out refi I was told point blank to NOT make a mortgage payment, that I would get a late fee, but NO NEGATIVE REPORTING ON MY CREDIT REPORT. Guess what...the loan funded on the 31st of July, and my 30 day late was reported on the 30th. Now this is causing a bit of a headache as I secure financing for a second home. Absolutely lousy advice given here as they clearly are just trying to make a sale. Shame on me...I should have known better. Update 10/12/15...I have just provided Paul Pistey with confirmation that all three of the credit agencies show this mortgage that they refinanced are now labeled with a 30 day late. Their response to "fix it myself" is not only disturbing, but shows an extreme lack of ethics and morals. Classic portrayal of "we will help you...until we get our commission". Take my advice folks...stay far away from this lender. Update 10/21/2015...after filing a BBB complaint Paul has done absolutely nothing except tell me that he has fixed these "errors" by the credit agencies a number of times, but needs me to resolve it myself. Sorry...the credit agencies don't randomly report negative things on credit reports, they do it because they have been notified by a lender. Still...no apology, no acceptance that they have done anything wrong, and nothing but crickets from them now. I have filed formal complaints with numerous agencies, including the VA as they hold themselves out as a VA specialist. We'll see what happens...but I'm guessing nothing. Great way to earn that commission Paul... Again...think twice before letting these people screw you over. You've been warned. read more

I'm NOT exaggerating with the 5-stars. I've now worked with Chuck and his staff THREE times...initial purchase and two refi's. First off, my first-time buy. Chuck had to deal with a stress-case. He dealt with the entire process, and more importantly, a stressed-out ME, very professionally. I would always get off the call knowing i'm going to be taken care of and knew that they were working very hard behind the scenes to make the process as smooth as possible for me. Man, I know I had to call him, it felt like 100 times during the process and I can't think of any time that he DIDN'T answer. And if he was busy, he'd answer anyway, just to let me know that he will call me right back. Chuck and staff (Gris and Maricruz were the two staff members besides Chuck that I worked with) were all super friendly and super quick. All of them are on the ball seriously. Good team. So, of course I went back to Chuck with my ReFi a couple years ago after that first experience. Again....quick. I called, paperwork was to me next day. Painless process. Chuck answered ALL of my many questions. His staff, again, were on it with any items they needed, when they needed it by, etc. I never felt any "lag" in the process. Now, my second Refi (literally just signed all of the final loan docs with the loan/notary lady today). Call Chuck to let him know i'm going to refi again, again....FedEx package of paperwork at my place the NEXT day! I had more questions with regards to rates and mortgage monthly payments depending on what amount I decide to pull/cash-out from the loan. Always a friendly reply and while i'm one to ask a LOT of questions, Chuck always answered with a tone like he "wants to help." Never sounding annoyed or anything of the sort. Basically THREE times with them and ALL THREE TIMES, the same amazing service. I have NOTHING bad to say about this group and would recommend them over and over to anyone. read more

This business sends me two pieces of letter mail every single week. They were written to cease and desist their mailings and have not stopped. They give every appearance of a predatory lender targeting VA home loan recipients. read more

The branch manager was amazing, very knowledgeable and thorough. He took us step-by-step through the whole loan process. Natalie, his assistant, did not miss a trick either. Junk mail galore. We will never refinance stop bothering us!!! This company is not only annoying but I wouldn't be surprised if they were a fraudulent company. They bug people to death offering refinancing at higher rates than a person has. When you tell them no they send more junk mail! Do yourself a favor and avoid this company like the plague!!!! It's funny cause we have 800+ credit scores and we have a 30 yr fix loan at 3.375% and you guys still give us 2-3 letters a week saying you can do better. But you can't! Lol read more

Natalie and Paul were great. I had a great experience with leading mortgage solutions before. Unfortunately in between I had forgot their name and number and had an awful 6 mo drawn out refi with josh at NASB Everyone should stay away from there it was a simple refi that I was gun shy about. Believe it or not leading called me 4 days after close. I said no but call me every now and again. I dont ever promote sales calls either. But I had remembered how easy our experiences with are. FIRST thing I asked how long Paul said he usually closes around 15 days!! Great. That seemed about right minus some work we needed to have done on our house The best thing is the documentation. When Natalie sent me this list and it was just the bare essentials of income and identity. How great was that. I didn't have to provide shot records and DNA. Kidding but usually I have a small book of docs I send. I just had a small book report of papers. Natalie kept in touch almost daily, mainly because everything was moving so quickly . She was very accommodating to what you wanted in your loan, even if she already did up the numbers, and she always seemed happy to do so. Usually, I'm a little stressed during a refi. I'm kinda that way anyway, but with Natalie always being in communication with me and always getting right back to me when I had a question. I never gave the refi one fret. They were both very positive and extremely professional. One couldn't get a better team if you tried. I have had some good loan officers, but Natalie and Paul did their job very streamlined and not only well, they had a way of keeping you at ease and not everyone can do that. I don't give compliments that much. If you knew me you would know that these two are on top of anyone in this business read more

As you know, buying a home can be extremely stressful. Determining how much house one can afford, while trying to match that up with the home of your dreams... stressful! Since my husband and I had purchased twice before, we were hoping our past experience would lessen that stress. We were wrong! But... here's the KEY difference with our experience this time... Steven Tavera! Steven Tavera is "by far" the most capable, professional, and customer-focused Mortgage Consultant we've ever worked with! Not only was he laser-focused on helping us understand what we could afford; but "time and time" again he re-calculated the numbers to show us how they worked with homes we were interested in buying. He instructed us each step of the way in how best to use our purchasing power. And if that wasn't enough... he very patiently held our hands (with me almost literally) during peak moments of stress as we walked through the process. Mortgage Consultant and Senior Loan Officer no way describe the enormous amount of work and the expertise needed to do his job. A testament to how fantastic he is was learning today that our loan was approved for closing... what a wonderful thing to hear and what a wonderful job done by Steven! We are forever grateful and will recommend him and Leading Mortgage Solutions to everyone!!! read more

I have used Leading Mortgage Solutions more than once over the last 5 years and have always been very satisfied with their end results. I found Paul to be very up front about the process and fairly easy to get in touch with if I have any questions and always been very professional. If I am unclear about something he's more than happy to take the time to address the question to my satisfaction. During the process of me attempting to refinance my home loan, in order to take advantage of the lower interest rates, I contacted numerous mortgage companies. Although I spoke to many representatives who were very professional helpful, Chuck La Flair from Leading Mortgage Solutions was the most helpful of all. He did a great job of explaining the various loan options and was very upfront about the different pros and cons related to each one. Although I considered myself pretty knowledgeable about the process, he was able to clarify (in language that I could understand) some of the things that I didn't fully understand and even provided additional insight to help me make a more informed decision. read more

You must be wondering if this business has only 5 star and 1 star reviews, but nothing in between! I wonder who makes those 5 star reviews. I have been receiving junk mail from this "business" for years. The fliers look very deceptive, like the con job of your typical marketeer. Obviously they got my name from an unauthorized list. I am neither a veteran, and my home was paid up a long time ago. So in addition to crooks they are fools too. read more

If you want prompt professional company to fund your loan, this company is NOT it, save yourself some time and go somewhere else. Like many other reviews 5 stars is not an exaggeration. This is my second time doing business with Leading Mortgage Solutions. I had spoken to a few different mortgage companies and always had an uneasy feeling once I hung up the phone. I continued to pass on letter after letter until I took a chance with this company. From the first conversation with Chuck I knew there was something different, I got the feeling that I had known Chuck for years. His confidence and easy to talk to personality made this decision very easy for me. I was informed of everything up front and there were absolutely no surprises! Every question was answered! What I was most impressed with when it came to Chuck was that he answers the phone!!! No matter when you call, no matter how many times you call, he makes a point to answer the phone. Once you are past Chuck and continue your business, you will work with many people from his team. One person stands out more then anyone and that's Griselda. She was absolutely amazing! Just like Chuck, you feel as if you've know Griselda for years. She definitely is the "Workhorse" of the team. She also is the person you will speak to the majority of the time. It was always a pleasure speaking to her and she always asks how your day has been. It's never business business business with this team and I appreciate that more then anything! My business with the company was an IRRL and a cash-out refinance. I referred a friend of mine who also had a pleasant experience. I definitely will work with them in the future. Thank you Chuck, Griselda and the rest of the team at Leading Mortgage Solutions. read more

I've called, I've sent the mail back all to no avail. This company does not honor requests to be removed from their mailing lists. If they cannot honor such a simple request that has been repeatedly requested over the past 8 months, I would not trust them to a much larger task such as a refinance. Their business practice of ignoring requests should be taken seriously. Called today and was assured again we were removed from list. Accused of having not called before, that is slightly frustrating. read more

Let me start by saying I did not get a loan through Chuck and LMS, but he did such a great job helping my wife and I. I contacted Chuck about a potential VA and he walked me, in a language I could understand, through all the different parts to the loan (fees, VA fees, downpayment, ect). He answered all my questions and ensured I was fully aware of what I was getting into. Chuck even worked to the point of earning almost no commission to get me a great rate and earn my business. It was only a last minute offer that was below market prices that led us away from his business. Thanks Chuck and I would work with you again in heart beat for future loans. read more
