    Today's plate $14.56
    Jessi M.

I was on my way north from Miami and as the traffic hit, I got hangry. I decided to go ahead and stop. This was the first place that happened to come up on my bookmarks and at about 15 mins south of my mom's, I'll be back!! The gentleman that owns the place cooks the food, and is super friendly! When I walked in, I asked how to order and he explained that every day he makes a different plate and went over everything that was in it. It's a sampler plate for $15 ($14.72) and it's so worth it! Today it came with a brown stew protein (he wouldn't really tell me what exactly it was made of except vegetables) which tasted like seitan and it was nice and spicy with that fresh scotch bonnet! The plate also came with a very large portion of rice and peas, a small portion of vegan mac & cheese, and a small portion of some sort of bean stew with a tiny boiled plantain, some fresh greens and a small slice of avocado. I asked him if I could order a large portion of just the protein, but he said that he doesn't sell it like that because it's hard to make. Oh, the plate also came with some little vegetable ball, which he explained had a lot of vegetables in it and it was delicious! Seriously, everything was so good. I also got a spinach, calalloo, and pumpkin patty which was also nice and spicy! You know my eye spotted the treats in a cabinet. I was lucky enough to get the only donut with sprinkles, but there were also carrot muffins and some other fruit muffin and several different cookies to choose from and something he said was like a cinnamon roll. The gentleman said that all the treats are made with almond flour and gluten-free flour and fruits; no sugar, nothing synthetic. If you're debating on whether or not to stop in, it may look like a little hole in the wall, but it's definitely worth it!

I Stronga more like I weaker, I am a visiting plant based eater from NY & thought this would be a good spot to visit, boy was I wrong. First of all there sign says they close at 7pm online it says 9pm we arrived and was greeted with a "can I help you?" as if we were disturbing them or something, after being told they are closing soon we asked to see a menu in which they did not have, whatever, we ordered the vegan pizza they had 2 slices left.. it was cold, like not room temperature but cold and got what was suppose to be roots wine which had no wine and was actually fermented nastiness, 1000% a waste of time, money and energy. Save yourself do not bother going here.

Delicious Ital Stew on the run

This is the authentic Ital hut I've been looking for. These people don't compromise with your health in the kitchen. It's family owned so don't expect a corporate run vibe. Food slaps

Love this place. It's the perfect pick up and go spot. A few stools inside to sit and eat too. Not enough to sit with a large group tho. Perfect for someone new to vegan food and not sure what to eat when they get to a vegan restaurant as the menu is simply what the chef cooks that day and whatever soup (called a sip) is made that day. Patties, vegan cake, juices also available. I've never been disappointed in the portion of food or taste in food. If your hungry, want to healthy, and indecisive then come here. Just walk in and ask for a meal. That's what you get and it always taste great. Great for new vegans, great for on the run, good quality always consistent

From Smoothies and several coffee choices to great menu breakfast items that make it hard to choose from. One thing is for sure; all of the choices are healthy. I ordered the Salmon Benedict with a hearty portion of smoked salmon, poached eggs with a runny yoke. Served on homemade Brioche Toast with avocado, frizze salad with an oregano dressing and of course hollandaise sauce. It hit the spot and not too heavy. Me daughter and son in law had the Steak and Eggs, a protein booster with incredible medium cooked skirt steak and slightly crunchy smashed fingerling potatoes. Nice touch on those potatoes, we all shared. They also had the Peach Berry Parfait. So refreshing with fresh peaches, raspberries and strawberries in vanilla yogurt and berry compote. Granola added the crunch to this as well. The service was excellent and smooth. We really enjoyed each other's company today outside dining with great healthy choices and very reasonable prices. I do not want to forget to mention how great the coffee was. Had iced Mocha coffee and Americano ordered before the meal came. There is a paid parking lot right next to Flora. You would need to use the QR code to register your car and pay for timed parking. No hassles at all. I really look forward to coming back. When a beautiful day pops up, and I am hungry, Flora would be the first place to go for brunch.

Even the bathroom is a moment: Stylish, aesthetic, and very much photo-worthy. We were seated outside right away, water came quickly, menus followed...so far, so good. We ordered the steak sandwich and the chicken skewer bowl, plus a watermelon lemonade. Presentation-wise, everything looked great. The avocado on the sandwich was honestly the star perfectly done. That said, the steak sandwich itself was a little too rich. The aioli overpowered the flavors, especially for a $29 sandwich (plus a $3 sweet potato surcharge ). At $33, I was hoping for a bit more balance. The chicken skewer bowl, however, was a hit my friend really enjoyed it, and it felt like the better value overall. Service-wise, this is where things fell a bit flat. We came with my pup Henry, and despite puppy water bowls being scattered all over the patio, our server didn't acknowledge him or offer one ....we had to ask. Small thing, but noticeable, especially at a dog-friendly spot. There also wasn't much engagement overall, no recommendations, no dessert mention, no "how's everything tasting?" When I asked for the check, the response was a slightly curt "give me a minute," which didn't feel very warm. He then went on to drop off water bottles at other tables before circling back to ask if we wanted coffee. All in all: adorable atmosphere (bathroom included), decent food, but mid for the price point and service that didn't quite match the setting. I'd come back for the patio and vibes, maybe stick to lighter dishes, but I hope the hospitality grows to match how pretty the place is.

The flavors were really hittin--not salty but definitely not lacking in flavor and complexity. So delicious The only criticism I would have from what I ordered is that the rice was ever so slightly undercooked which made it a bit dry. Other than that, everything was great. There's not really a server--you order and they text you when it's ready. Then you come pick it up and go to your table. But the cashier lady was very nice and helped me decide what to get.

If you're looking for something unique to try at the Citadel, Manjay is worth a shot. They serve Haitian cuisine. Portions were generous and in general, the food was kind of heavy. Many of the components I believe were made to order, so there was a short wait. Here's what my wife and I ordered: Appetizer: * Caribbean Conch Fritters ($14) - Manjay pikliz, honey mustard remoulade These were big and tasty. Six pieces, like giant hush puppies with conch inside. The plate came with pikliz in the center. Pikliz is like the Haitian version of coleslaw, made with cabbage, carrots, onions, and peppers. Manjay's version was spicy and yummy. Bowls, each with 2 sides and 1 sauce: * Honey Jerk Chicken Bowl ($18) - breaded and tossed in Manjay's homemade honey jerk sauce; with red beans rice and sweet plantains and scotch bonnet mango aioli * From Haiti with Love (Griyo) ($18) - Deep-fried Kreyol-style slow-braised pork; with banan payzay and toofay Both the chicken and pork were very good and flavorful. The pork was served bone-in. The rice and beans and sweet plantains were comforting and addictive. The scotch bonnet mango aioli was spicy. Banan payzay are Haitian pressed plantains. These were savory and starchy. The toofay ("legume") was good too. It's a hearty vegetable stew, essentially Haitian ratatouille. Our cashier was Roniqua and she was nice. During our visit, I think Manjay had the longest line (a good sign). After walking around, looking at the other food court options and seeing Manjay's high rating on Yelp, we were sold on Manjay. We dined in so we got real plates and silverware. We actually took everything up to the rooftop bar and ate up there. Our trays were bussed by the staff on the roof. Along with this location at the Citadel food court in Little River (just north of Little Haiti), Manjay has a casual strip location near the Miami airport in Doral. This Citadel location is the original; it opened in February 2019. The Doral location opened in 2024.
