During my 20 years of needing glasses Nicklins was by far the most professional place I visited. A good selection of glasses at a wide variety of prices so all budgets are catered for. But more importantly a very good after sales service to go with your purchase. I had to return my pair when the anti glare coating became tarnished, they checked them and ordered a new pair of lenses which were delivered within a week and then when I returned fitted them into my frames while I waited. The whole family use this optician based in Guildford. The shop is based on 2 floors with the…read more'testing' happening on the first floor and this involves going up a fairly steep staircase and I have not seen a lift, so disabled access appears limited. The staff have always been helpful and my daughter, husband and I all wear glasses and have bought them all instore. They have a camera so you can see yourself wearing different pairs of glasses, making it easier to choose a pair. D & A are part of the nectar scheme which may be an advantage to some and there are often vouchers for free or dicounted eye tests in magazines or online.
