I just filed for my divorce and all of this is such a daunting and scary task to me. I needed to serve my papers to my ex-husband and I had no idea where to start. I found I server papers on yelp and thought this was the best route. So I had 8 tries to get him served. I never thought it would be so hard to get some papers to a person. I read all the great reviews and the website, and this process server was not the cheapest one I saw, but it looked like the most professional. I especially liked the feature advertised on the site that payment was not required until after service was completed. I really spent a lot of time researching options and felt very confident I had found the best process server. So, I submitted my papers through the website according to the directions online. The next day, I received the following email: "Hello Kenneth, Thank you for placing your order for service. I've received the documents and information. I do require payment to be made up front even though my site says otherwise. I've found myself being more of a debt collector than a process server at times. Lol Anyway, please make payment of $95 at your earliest convenience. Payment can be made online at: iservepapers.com/pay I will send you your receipt once payment has been processed and will begin the service process. I will find a different process server. I would strongly encourage him to update his website to reflect his current business practices. I contacted Joe 3 weeks ago. He accepted the job and told me that would try to have it done within 48 hours. After about a week or so I contacted him to get a progress report, I left a voicemail and my call was not returned. I also tried sending a text message that went unanswered. I feel like this is very unprofessional and would not recommend him to anyone. I still have not heard from him, not even a note/message to say he couldn't do the job. if you're looking for a process server look elsewhere. read more

When I first found this website I was a bit skeptical because the fee was higher than a couple other companies I'd seen but hiring Joe to serve my small claims case turned out to be the best choice I could have made. I called to see why the price was on the high end and within just a few minutes Joe told me that I'd waited too long to get my case served and also that I couldn't serve the case to the PO Box address I had for my old landlord. Joe quickly found a home address for me and explained how to get my trial date continued. After I went to court and got the new date, I emailed him my papers and the case was served the next night! Joe's service was fantastic from beginning to end. The entire process of court is unpleasant for everyone involved. I'm in a business where occasionally we need to use this more aggressive approach to get payment for services. I've been dealing with the court system and different process servers for years now and I can tell you that without a doubt, Joe is the best of them all. Months before I actually decided to use him, I called Joe and left a message for him with some questions. He called me back within the hour, but I ended up not needing him to call me at all because everything I needed was laid out on his very informative and intuitive website. Regardless, at that point, I knew that Joe was my go to guy. When the day came, I went back onto Joe's website and uploaded 10 cases for him to serve. Immediately upon receiving the 10th case, he emailed me to confirm that he had everything he needed for each one of them and would begin attempting to serve them immediately. Joe definitely made this part of an unfamiliar and difficult process extremely easy. He is great with communication, for everything, not just the initial call like lots of personal businesses. He offers his service completely online/by phone if that's what you prefer, and he also offered to meet in person if you prefer that instead. He doesn't sound like he's too busy to answer your questions or send you updates about things, always friendly and respectful. I've never needed to serve anyone in the past so I wasn't sure what to expect, but joe made the servicing progress smoothly and quickly (served the papers within 24 hours of receiving them) and I literally could not imagine a better job done.
