Our Airbnb was directly across from it, and we could see the lines at all hours with mostly locals, which was a good sign. I got the prosciutto and truffle sandwich, and it was dreamy truffle bliss. It is amazing that something as simple as bread, prosciutto, and truffle spread can taste so good. My husband got a salami and pecorino sandwich which was more his speed. He really enjoyed his sandwich and finished it in no time. Prices are cheap enough that we could've split another sandwich if we had had the room, but there was no need. The only downside to this place is the lack of seating. The seating in front of the sandwich shop actually belongs to the bar next door so we weren't able to sit there. We were able to find a public bench on the street to enjoy our sandwiches, but be prepared if you're carrying a lot of luggage around with you like we were.

There's a pretty extensive standard menu with tons of options to choose from, as well as a separate specials menu posted by the door. The sandwiches themselves are HUGE, so unless you're super hungry, you could probably eat half right away and save the other half for later. Overall, the sandwiches were pretty good, but my biggest complaint was the bread. It was super crumbly and kept falling apart everywhere as we were eating, which made things a little messy. Also, the sandwich lacked flavor. I thought there would be great flavor from the combination of ingredients but only the taste of mortadella was present. Service - Horrible! The staff all appeared unhappy. Also, they were very dismissive and unfriendly to many customers. I observed a few customers ask light questions, and the staff either ignored the customer or reluctantly answered in a snide manner. Atmosphere - Very overhyped. Lots of crowds because of social media but the demeanor of the employees created an atmosphere of entitlement by the staff and additional disappointment after eating the underwhelming sandwich. Overall - There are many sandwich shops in Florence with much better food and friendly, warm staff. Do not go to All'Antico Vinaio!
