Dometic cooling unit review. Roger is very knowledgeable…read moreabout cooling unit re/re. He does the little things, that turn out to be big things, to help extend the life of the unit. His 30 years of re/re cooling units has helped with his quick and thorough work. He has learned the "secrets" of the trade, both good and bad. In my research, Roger's prices are the most reasonable, and he will find a way to save the customer money. Roger is the "MacGyver" of fixing anything. In his mind's eye, he sees a solution from beginning to end, and can explain it to the customer. For example, if it's a broken plastic part, he will make a new one out of aluminum and explain how he intends to install it. He has a huge collection of old fridges on site that allow him quick access to swap-out replacement parts. This is especially important if the customer has an older fridge where parts are no longer manufactured. He is very accommodating, and will go out of his way to help get the work done in an emergency. As a bonus, I left his place with a basket full of transparent apples from his apple tree. Today I'm making lots of apple crisp. I'd give Roger 6-stars if yelp allowed 6-stars.

I had purchased an expensive (to me) handmade purse, in a very short time the stitching securing…read morethe shoulder strap to one side of purse let go. I tried to glue it using gorilla glue but it only held for a short time. Unable to reconnect with the maker I wasn't sure how to get it repaired. Then I considered contacting an upholstery shop. This business was the first one I called and asked if they could help. He encouraged me to bring it by for a look and would see if he could stitch it for me. He worked on the purse for about 10 minutes and was able to not only stitch the problem side but also stitched the other side that was showing signs of the stitching letting go. I am sooooo happy with the repair and his willingness to help with such a small issue. I appreciated his kindness and professionalism fixing my purse while I waited. He charged me a very modest fee and it was certainly worth much more to me, as I had spent so much on something I thought was turning out to be wasted money. I love my purse and now use it without any worries.

Danny and crew are all friendly and buddy-buddy when you go to purchase an RV (and they do have the…read morebest inventory in the mid-island). That being said, my recommendation would be to only look at CVRV to see what is out there and go somewhere else, even the mainland, to purchase. In my experience, once you purchase the RV, they hope to never see you again, unless you are paying to upgrade or fix something out of pocket. I had a Maxxair fan installed 6 months after I purchased my RV. This comes with a 2 year warranty--that is ONLY if you are in the area. If you are out on your travels and something happens, you are sh*t out of luck. One and a half years after the fan was installed, it broke. I wound up at CHEMO RV in 150 mile house and they replaced my fan. I now have a 2 year warranty with them, NO MATTER WHERE I AM. If I am on a road trip, they will pay for any fixes if need be--they stand by their product and their reputation!! They were shocked that CVRV policy is to only deal with the RV's locally and they do not have a working relationship with other dealers (the CHEMO RV manager even called CVRV because he assumed I had not explained myself well enough or had misheard the information from CVRV). Additionally, CHEMO RV found out that Comox Valley RV initially installed the fan incorrectly and it was just beginning to leak. I guess it was lucky that the fan broke to prevent a major leak in my Class B RV. Buyer beware--I recommend going elsewhere. Kathy

Talked with Danny the owner who explained why the leak occurred and how they would repair it. Left the camper with them for a week, while they made the repairs. All covered by warranty, no questions asked. Both Danny the owner, and Cole the Service manager were excellent throughout the process.
