Danny and crew are all friendly and buddy-buddy when you go to purchase an RV (and they do have the best inventory in the mid-island). That being said, my recommendation would be to only look at CVRV to see what is out there and go somewhere else, even the mainland, to purchase. In my experience, once you purchase the RV, they hope to never see you again, unless you are paying to upgrade or fix something out of pocket. I had a Maxxair fan installed 6 months after I purchased my RV. This comes with a 2 year warranty--that is ONLY if you are in the area. If you are out on your travels and something happens, you are sh*t out of luck. One and a half years after the fan was installed, it broke. I wound up at CHEMO RV in 150 mile house and they replaced my fan. I now have a 2 year warranty with them, NO MATTER WHERE I AM. If I am on a road trip, they will pay for any fixes if need be--they stand by their product and their reputation!! They were shocked that CVRV policy is to only deal with the RV's locally and they do not have a working relationship with other dealers (the CHEMO RV manager even called CVRV because he assumed I had not explained myself well enough or had misheard the information from CVRV). Additionally, CHEMO RV found out that Comox Valley RV initially installed the fan incorrectly and it was just beginning to leak. Bought a brand new camper here in July. Discovered in October that it leaks. Called the service department, booked an appointment, dropped off the camper. Talked with Danny the owner who explained why the leak occurred and how they would repair it. Left the camper with them for a week, while they made the repairs. Beware, poor customer service. Waited for 6 hours in waiting room after was told RV would be ready in the morning. Bought a 2024 RV that had 5000 kilometers for 160000$. BM Pro not working and batteries were dead. They wouldn't change them. Instead, they tried selling me a 5000$ warranty. Then, they would change them. They said that when they sell, they sell as it is and if customer want to be safe, even when they buy an almost brand new RV, they should absolutely take those super expensive warranties. Nice way to make a bunch of extra money on our backs. Not going back. No consideration for customers, only cash! read more

"BUYER BEWARE" I purchased a class B motorhome from Comox Valley RV (CVRV). We had numerous issues with it and I reported them to Danny Keyes (the owner). The water heater was not working, the generator would not start automatically at low voltage and the water pump would not stop pumping, among other things. I reported these items to the owner and his attitude was, there's nothing wrong, and if there is, our 50-50 warranty says you pay for half and we pay for half. As it turns out, the water heater was not working because CVRV did not de-winterize the unit properly, when I purchased it, and left a valve closed which should have been open (or vice versa). The generator would not auto start because the water heater kept tripping the circuit which disabled the generator auto start. There was a pressure leak in the water system which kept the water pump running non-stop. None of these issues ended up being major ones and I went to another dealer to have them addressed, because CVRV had no idea how to fix the problems. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR 50-50 WARRANTY, THE BC SALES OF GOODS ACT SUPERCEDES IT AND PROTECTS YOU FROM UNSRCUPULOUS DEALERS LIKE DANNY. The act clearly states: "The goods will be durable for a reasonable period of time". The only way out of the Act is to have you sign an agreement specifically opting out the Act. read more

One star is generous! -convinced us to buy the extended warranty for $3000, said it would be good if the frame ever had water damage as that would be very expensive.. read the fine print on the warranty after the summer camping was done and basically its a scam. doesn't cover a single thing on the trailer including the frame.. and.. cant cancel after 30 days. free money for them. -Sold us a cover for our 17' trailer for $700 as a part of the "package deal" after realising our loss with the extended warranty we thought we would return the cover to recoup some money.. brand new in box WITH receipt "best they could do" is $200 credit. said they wouldn't make any money otherwise.. same cover is $336 on amazon. it boils down to us not being experienced buyers and rushing, but man did they rake us over the coals.. Bonus: Every time we would pick the trailer up it was a big confusion as to who we were and why we were there even though we had arranged pick up time.. not a good feeling. read more

First off they over price their units and show a big discount making you think you are getting a buy, wrong I bought one and a year later I wanted to trade mine in and found out the real price! Half of the listed price, lost of 15k wtf So I tried car dealerships for a trade up into 60k units and yes only 15k as quoted by Comox valley wtf My next experience was taking back the battery to find there was no guarantee past 12 months not even a pro rated lost which I offered to pay. I contacted Comox RV about an RV I was interested in recieveing more information about. I was not just kicking the tires but in a serious buying mode. Danny Keyes quickly responded back with answers to my questions, including the price and extra charges for filling up the fluids and gas. Also to offset his charge for delivery for a total of $695. Because I am a serious buyer I ask Mr Keyes to give me a more in-depth explanation for the extra $695 and questioned why these charges where not in the full rolled-up price. Mr Keyes sent me back an email as a response "Your funny. Not a logical  argument........ Good luck" ..... Bought our first ever RV from these guys. Paid $15,500 for it. Upon hooking it up to our truck to drive away with it we found out that there was a patch on the roof. We questioned the dealers about it and they said theres been a previous roof repair but as they were close to closing time they basically shrugged us aside, pushed us out the door saying its been fixed, its dealt with. We were left with a horrible gut feeling but brought it home and tried to look on the bright side. We took it out camping and it started pouring rain, there was a stream of water running down the inside of our back wall. Took it home and did some exploratory work to find out it was leaking from the roof patch. The dealership did absolutely nothing for us in terms of compensation, ignored messages and calls and left us with a disaster of a trailer that we've wasted 15 grand on. We ended up taking the trailer into the manufacturers repair shop and he claimed that he had NEVER seen such a poorly repaired roof and that everything they could have done wrong they did. Don't trust these guys at all, they're nothing but slimy salesmen who only care about the $$$. read more

the saleswoman we dealt with was nice enough, but as soon as we took possession of our brand new, 30k RV, we have had nothing but problems. we paid additional costs to have everything ready to go, and should we have issues, the added warranty so a service person would come to us. Surprise, surprise... that's not what happened. First, one of the running light covers flew off during travel. You would think those would have been checked when they did their thorough go through of the RV to make sure everything was working, right? Or, that they would check all outlets were functioning? they aren't. a week after we took possession, they informed us that the fire extinguisher had been recalled. When my mom was able to take it in, the man in the service department refused to honor the recall. Told us to do it ourselves. We received the RV winterized, even though they knew we were moving directly in to it. Do you think they could take five minutes to talk me through where the bypass valves were to turn on my hot water? You guessed it! they couldn't. in fact, the service department told me to figure it out by watching youtube. this was less than two weeks after receiving 30k for a brand fucking new trailer. don't waste your money here. They rely on the fact that you don't know what to look for, and they pounce. They hinted that the hot water heater was tankless. it isn't. They have the worst customer service ever, and their service manager deserves to lose his job. he is not only a completely lazy lump, but he doesn't seem to know his head from his arse. I should add that they were informed prior to our taking possession that the RV would not be kept in Courtenay, that it would be parked, and lived in full time, in Qualicum. Yet, they still couldn't be bothered to do it right, expecting that we could just drop everything and bring the trailer back every time their poor workmanship showed. read more

Our experience here was very underwhelming. The only positive is they had the model camper we wanted and it was on sale. We had constant communication issues between the front staff and the service department, despite our requests being in writing (email). We came up from Victoria twice to get the camper purchased and installed and both times had issues. We were told our truck MUST use stakeholders which they sold us for $1100 (for just the parts) and we had to confirm with them prior to install that our truck had the stakeholder holes in the box, which we did. We also requested the 2x6V battery option and were told they would be installed along with the camper. When we arrived, the batteries were not only NOT installed, they had not even been ordered and the sales guy seemed shocked that they needed to order additional venting to go with and the poor installers had no clue what was even happening as they had not been told! On top of that, they ended up using tie-downs and turn buckles for less than a 1/3 of the cost of the stakeholders (even the installer told us they were way cheaper) but this was never discussed or brought to our attention. They just ripped us off for about $800 and won't respond to my request for a refund or provide details of the tie-down costs. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE and avoid the office manager like the plague. His solution was to have a temper-tantrum in front of the staff and other customers and just kept yelling "Dude, do you just want your money back?" and complaining about "their over-head" when asking about the cost of the additional batteries or what they would do for us since they did not provide the parts (batteries) as promised. The then just publicly blamed the service department and staff until he crawled back into his office, never to be seen again. Unprofessional is an understatement. read more

Poor service and nothing but problems. 1st pickup and trip out we paid for the"get it ready" fee and said we were heading out that weekend to try it out. we arrived at our campsite and went to give the dog water and realized it was a bowl of antifreeze . I am a mechanic and had to bleed the system and boil our water !we were not impressed as it is a significant fee for the service . we tried to get a refund or some other credit. the owner straight up told Alan(sales manager) No! 2nd trip out it sprung a leak. we took it in again. we could see where they had not installed a marker light in all the way when they had installed the ac unit. (we came in and saw when they were installing the ac unit and the light was out cause they said they needed access for the ac wiring). 3rd trip out we were wondering why we keep bottoming out over curbs etc.. so decided to look into a lift to raise it a few inches and this is when we discovered it does not have the right size wheels and tires it was supposed to have and according to the spec sheet we were possibly overloading it and becoming dangerous because the weight rating and gvw was different with the smaller wheels. we once again went to see what could be done, 3 weeks later and still nothing! they said if we want them to take the right wheels off another trailer we would have to pay the Labour?? or wait till it gets approved by warranty? not my fault and they are the representative of the manufacturer . just plain piss poor service with no regard for customer satisfaction once they sell the unit they could care less about making the customer happy in my opinion!! this is a small town and you would like to think as a business you would want a good review and reference? I have had no offer of any sort to "smooth over" the sour taste in my mouth!!!! read more

We had a solar panel and controller installed. Even with some difficult issues the manager and tech guys were able to provide a first rate installation in every aspect. Our RV was left cleaner than when we brought it in for repair. Very satisfied and will return for future business. read more

This purchase was the biggest nightmare of our lives!!!!!We purchased an RV which died taking it off the lot. We had owned it for 5 minutes and the owner would not give us our money back. He said "it's your problem now". It only has 4,500Kms on it. He would do nothing to help us, it had to be towed out of the lot. We have tried to have it repaired 4 times. Stranded on the Island Highway we phoned to get some help, even though the owner was in his office he let the phone go to voice mail. We were given the wrong information before we arrived from the mainland about warrantees, the year of the RV and the previous history as well of the condition of the RV.As soon as Danny Keyes had our money he did not stand behind his product at all. No ,zero offer to help after we paid $90,000 for a motor home that doesn't work at all. The RV is not road worthy and the transmission is shot .Danny Keyes was rude and belligerent to us once he had our $. As I write this we still have an RV that he would not take back that cannot be driven! Never even walk into Comox Valley RV because we have been taken advantage of big time!!!!! read more
