I Love Curry was a good spot with a lively crowd when my gf's and I showed up to pick up our to-go order. The food was prepared in an open-air kitchen setting when you walk in the door which fills the entire space with the delicious smells of the Indian cuisine we all know and love. The packaging was all correct and generic with traditional thank you bags you'd expect from a regular restaurant. We ordered the Lamb Biryani, Butter Chicken, and Chicken Tikka Masala with 2 orders of garlic naan. The Lamb was adequately portioned and flavorful with the flavored basmati rice accompanying the lamb chunks. The Butter and Tikka Masala Chickens were both boneless chunks in plentiful and flavorful sauces. The naan bread was quite disappointing as it felt like a regular serving of pita bread with a couple of garlic cloves lightly roasted and thrown on top. That was a huge let down as I love dipping naan in different sauces. The staff seemed nice and I would entertain the idea of coming in for dine to see if the portion sizes would be a bit larger dining in person. The steep prices for what we received was my major concern with a 3-3.5 star rating. I believe they could be slightly adjusted to better match competition in the area. read more

My husband and I have been searching for a great local Indian restaurant since we moved to the area a few years ago, and we finally found it, except it's better than great. In fact, we love it so much we've been there 3 times in the past 2 weeks. We honestly could eat there everyday!!! The restaurant is wonderful, welcoming, clean, and comfortable. The owners and everyone who works there are the kindest people who also happen to make the most delicious food ever!!! The food is beyond delicious. Everything we've tried has been equally outstanding. It's obvious the ingredients are fresh and high quality- we can feel it in how good our bodies and we feel in general post meal. I'm a health and longevity practitioner and proud to be able to recommend I Love Curry!! We're grateful to have this local healthy and nourishing gem nearby. I had previously had food from the I Love Curry food truck at various places throughout Naples FL but was recently delighted to hear that there was now a sit down restaurant near us. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed and while it appears to be like a Chinese takeout where you can order at the register and sit down anywhere, it is not. We were promptly seated and our orders were taken. Our food arrived shortly after and it was steaming hot. I got the veggie vindaloo and my husband got the saag paneer. Each meal comes with rice and naan. Both meals were perfect! The naan was also very good. I highly recommend I Love Curry whether you are familiar with Indian cuisine or not. Excellent experience in our first visit to this wonderful authentic Indian restaurant. From the Traditional lamb curry (such tender lamb) to the chicken saag, the coconut curry with shrimp and the chicken tiki masala, it was all delicious and cooked to each desired level of spice. The buttery naan, tamarind and mango chutneys and cooling raita completed the meal. Our party of six will all return to further explore these Indian delights. What I love about the curries right off the cuff is the piping hot temperature of the food. The curries are served in a large to-go container with about 50:50 rice to curry ratio. A half large piece of butter naan is steaming on top of the curry and rice. I had the traditional lamb (grass-fed and very tender) curry and my daughter for the first time, butter chicken (also very tender meat). Perfectly spiced - we don't have Indian often and it was just the right balance for us. So delicious! We had so much food we were only able to eat 1/2 of the meal and we ate the rest the next day for lunch. We sat outside where there are two tables. There's cocktail/wine in cans, bottled beers and soft drinks for sale. My daughter asked if we could have more for dinner. Stopped by this place yesterday and found that they are closed until further notice. This is the second time I've tried to eat at this restaurant and it's been closed. I've heard rumblings around town that the owner is involved in some sort money laundering scheme so it wouldn't surprise me if the IRS finally cracked down on them. Okay so Naples doesn't have a crazy lineup of Indian cuisine but you don't need options because I Love Curry is enough to satiate any desire of Indian food that any other place is out of the question. The food is done right then and there so you get it fresh and hot. The restaurant is pretty small with about 5-6 tables so it'd be best to go the takeout route because they can get pretty busy. The food here is so fresh and delicious! We started out with the Samosa Chaat. Comes 2 to a serving, so we ordered an extra one. We could have just eaten them for a meal. They are fairly large and the crust is flaky and crispy. Be sure to get them. I had the chicken coconut curry, and the others in my party had lamb curry and the vegetable curry. There are different spice levels and the chef asked us what level we like. We got there early for dinner so he came out to meet us. The food is amazing. We ordered online 2 days later to pick up another 3 of those Samosa Chaat because that's all we could think about. LOL. The restaurant has delightful decor. Let me preface this review by saying that my husband and I have been coming here for lunch for almost a year. We told friends/family about this place and brought them here to taste the food and support a local business. But today, after the encounter I had with the owner and chef, I will not be returning. We sat down for lunch at noon like we'd be done several times before. At 12:45 I noticed our food still wasn't out and no one had been by to check on us so I popped my head around the corner to inquire about the status of our food as I had a meeting I needed to get to. Again we have been here many times before and the food usually comes out in 15/20min. The owner proceeded to cop an attitude by telling me that this is how long his food takes because everything js made to order. I'm aware the food is made to order, it's why we return. But to tell me that his food takes 45min without offering any apology or saying sorry we're short staffed. We proceeded to get into an argument about how long his food takes to prepare and then he told me he wasn't going to "make my food". This implies that my food wasn't even made, after sitting there for 45min. I wanted to support this local business owner but judging by the way he responds to 1 star reviews, he doesn't need our business. I would skip this place to not have to deal with this guys arrogant attitude. Wait for dinner service at 21 spices. It's much better. read more

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! We had a craving for curry and happened upon this gem last night! I am certain that I Love Curry will be a weekly indulgence for us. As for my Indian credentials: I have eaten curries in London and Manchester, UK, and this was just as good! Also, when I was in Iraq we had cooks from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, so I've had the original, too. I Love Curry is the closest to that food that I have found. We ate in the restaurant, which is small but serviceable, and the meals came in to-go plates that made it easy to bring home leftovers. The best (and in my mind the most important) was that they have four recommended "spiciness" levels, with Indian being the hottest. I have only seen something like that in the Philippines and was glad because I have asked for very spicy, "Indian Hot" before and somehow chef's don't believe me when I say I want to be sweating with tears rolling down my cheeks because of the spice. They did not disappoint! It was very spicy, just the way I like it! If you have a tender palette or thin stomach then you can certainly ask for it mild, so don't worry if spice makes you squeamish. They will cater to all. We ordered our favorites: Chicken Vindaloo and Mutter Paneer. Portions are large and they come with basmati rice and butter naan (which was hot and delicious). Dined at lunch with a couple of friends (as one of my friends is a Curry fanatic). We all enjoyed a different curried lamb dish. I have to say we were all blown away by the excellent dishes. The restaurant was well kept (very clean) and modest in appearance. The location is a bit out of the way (however; next to my barber). I am somewhat reluctant posting this because I do not want this place to get so busy I will have difficulty getting in at a decent time. The proprietor (Dee) was very helpful in assisting us on our choices and the level of spice choices for the meals. One can make a very interesting choice to try this then go a few doors away for upscale ice cream (probably family owned by Dee or his friend).
