Physical therapy - I had four therapists, a primary and 3 to cover. They all knew the trade well…read more I had bad experiences there though - it was my first time through PT, and if I have to do it again, I would try a smaller operation - my wife went to a store-front, and the PT's were far less stressed there. Midwest is huge, and they move "product" for an impressive "cash flow". The PT's have, I would estimate between 3-5 patients pipelined at any one time. I would "do the stairs", and have to almost stand in line to ask what to do next, because the pipeline got a bit clogged. I had two bad experiences of note: the worst - I had pain which I felt was not what I read about online, and very localized, and alot worse than expected - so I point to the spot, and ask the PT what he thought. He because aggressive/angry and said, and I quote here because I will never forget, "Why do *YOU PEOPLE* always think it is not supposed to hurt?", and paraphrasing now, "they cut out your knee, and pound metal things into your bones, of course it hurts". To this day I am ashamed of myself for not just getting up, and leaving, because there are other places to go. The second worst - one day, after PT, I was in the waiting room for a dr appt, and a therapist came out looking for me, and told me that somebody told him that my insurance was up, and I should call my insurance company. That was the end of my PT. there was no talking about a plan for me going forward, what I should do, expect, nothing, for the thousands and thousands of dollars that joined that ever-moving stream, called the "cash flow". Be Advised - if you do call your insurance about the PT insurance running out, they say stuff about 30 days or something, where some council of elders ... by that time, you joint will be stuck solid, with zero recourse.

First of all, I am such a skeptic, don't believe in this at all AND I hate needles. I had been…read moresuffering with muscle pain in my right arm due to repeated use during my volunteer work. I visited my doctor in early December when I became so uncomfortable because of the pain. I could not push open a heavy door or lift anything even just somewhat heavy. I couldn't reach behind me and the pain woke me as I slept. My doctor recommended PT and I met with a therapist in January, where I was given several exercises and directions to attempt to ease my pain. I found some relief but not enough. I was still taking Tylenol and Aleve in an effort to function and to sleep. In May, a gentleman where I volunteered told me acupuncture helped him greatly. Still skeptical , I mentioned this to a relative and she encouraged me to give it a try since her husband went to Frank Grill and found this treatment to be remarkably helpful. So I went , less than enthusiastically, but I found both Angela and Frank Grill, two very kind people, assured me that this could indeed work. The "happy ending" is this. After only two treatments, I was off the pain medication. After my next treatment , I found myself able to lift items up to 5 pounds but , most of all, I can sleep without pain. I am no longer that skeptic. One of my best decisions ever. (Oh, and the needle part? I hardly knew he was "poking at me" )

If I could give Frank Grill 10 stars, I would! I have three degenerative discs in my neck. I…read morestarted getting headaches that would not allow me to perform everyday tasks. I saw three neurologists, a pain management specialist, had Radio-frequency ablation which only made it worse, tried different types of pain medication and went to a physical therapist. Nothing worked. I was at my wits end. A friend recommended Frank. After 2 treatments I started feeling better. After 4 more I no longer had any pain! I was pain free for 13 months and felt wonderful... Early this fall the headaches returned. I had other health issues that may have caused the headaches to return. I visited Frank again and Voila! After 5 treatments the headaches are gone! I have to say, "It's amazing!" I highly recommend Frank. He's kind, considerate, down to earth and is wonderful about explaining the how's and why's of the practice of acupuncture. I plan to set up a maintenance program with him. When you enter the office you are greeted by Angela. She is warm, friendly and I consider her to be my friend. She has a great sense of humor and makes you feel at home!
