I completed my psychological testing with Dr. Lisa Davidson's office on January 26 at 1:00 PM at…read moretheir Poway location. I was originally scheduled to receive my final report on March 31, but the night before that appointment, I received a text saying it needed to be rescheduled. It is now July 22, and despite multiple phone calls, emails, and text messages, I still have not received my report. When I finally reached someone, I was told the report would be emailed to me, but more than a month has passed since that conversation and I still have not received anything. I do want to be fair and say that my initial appointment and testing experience went very well. Everyone was friendly, and the gentleman who assisted with my testing was extremely kind and made me feel comfortable. Unfortunately, the communication and follow-through afterward have been incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. I need this report in order to move forward with receiving the appropriate medication and treatment, so this delay has had a real impact on me. As a business owner myself, I understand that delays can happen, but going nearly six months without clear communication or receiving a promised report is unacceptable. I sincerely hope this review results in my report finally being sent to me. UPDATE: Less than two hours after posting this review, I received my completed test results. I appreciate Dr. Davidson for finally sending them. I understand that injuries happen, and I am sorry she has been dealing with and recovering from a back injury. However, patients still deserve communication, an explanation of what is happening, and at least a reasonable timeline. Instead, I went months without returned calls or clear information despite repeatedly trying to contact the office. What is most disappointing is that I received a direct message from Dr. Davidson less than two minutes after posting my review, and then received my final report less than two hours later. I am grateful to finally have the results, but I do not believe it should have taken a negative public review to receive a response and the report I had been waiting for since January.

I was told off very rudely by the receptionist for asking basic questions. I received no email updates and a zoom appointment I had to ask work off of got rescheduled because she missed it. My verbal results were done in July, but I have STILL not received my write up document preventing me from getting answers and keep getting told OFF again.

Nikki has helped me tremendously, and I'm so grateful I found her…read more One of the things I appreciate most is that you don't even have to know exactly what you need to work on. She has an incredible ability to help you figure out where certain feelings, emotions, and patterns are coming from and gently get to things that may be buried much deeper than you realize. She has helped me work through past traumas and issues that I didn't even know I was still carrying. I've learned so much about myself through the process and have been able to work through things that were affecting me without me even realizing it. She is warm, compassionate, intuitive, and truly amazing at what she does. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who is considering hypnotherapy or simply wants to better understand themselves and work through things that may be holding them back.

I very rarely write reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience so others can do…read moretheir own research and make an informed decision. I purchased a three-session hypnotherapy package for $780. During our first appointment, we discussed what was currently happening in my life, including the fact that I had recently sold my house. During that first session, Nikki also strongly encouraged me to purchase her book. I ended up buying it for $20 even though I almost never purchase physical books and use Audible instead. The book itself is not the main issue for me, but in hindsight it contributed to my overall discomfort with how frequently additional purchases and services seemed to come up. My primary concern occurred during my second session. While I was still under hypnosis, Nikki discussed the possibility of my daughter seeing her as well. She told me my daughter and I could share a package and went through different package options and prices with me, including one that was approximately $2,500. I am completely certain I was still under hypnosis during this conversation. I distinctly remember Nikki counting me back out afterward, and I remember the end of the appointment feeling rushed because we had gone over time. This was not a conversation that happened after the hypnosis portion of the session had ended. At the time, I did not fully process how uncomfortable the situation made me. The following day, I told my regular therapist exactly what had happened. That conversation caused me to take a much closer look at the experience and recognize how uncomfortable I felt about financial decisions and additional services being discussed while I was under hypnosis. I later brought my concerns directly to Nikki. She disagreed with my recollection of what occurred. I explained why the experience had affected my trust and why I no longer felt comfortable continuing. I asked Nikki for a full refund of the $780 package because I did not feel the sessions had helped me and, in fact, I was left feeling worse than I did before seeing her. She refused to provide a full refund. What was especially upsetting to me was that she would not refund me for the second session either, despite that being the session in which, according to my recollection, time while I was under hypnosis was used to discuss additional packages, pricing, and potentially bringing my daughter in as a client. I was only refunded for the unused final session. What has been most upsetting is that I sought hypnotherapy because I genuinely wanted help. Instead, I am now left feeling that I wasted my time and money, with additional trust issues that I am having to work through with my regular therapist, and more than $400 that I will never get back. There are many practitioners available, so please do your research and be very clear about boundaries, financial conversations, and what you are comfortable agreeing to before beginning hypnotherapy. Based on my personal experience, I would simply say: beware, ask questions, and trust your instincts if something does not feel right. I truly wish my experience had been different. I am sharing this because I believe people should have as much information as possible before deciding who they trust with something as vulnerable as hypnotherapy.

Then 4th, 3rd, 2nd, then 1st and after 10 minutes of being on hold, I was 8th in line??? I hung up. Not only that but my experience with Dr. Marina Katz was horrible so I was calling to change providers. I had Dr. Rosben Gutteriez when I used to live here but he's booked and I had no idea Dr. Katz only worked once a week. Needless to say, I'm done with them. They would call you to cancel appointments but on the other hand their email notifications that your appointment is on as scheduled continues. Front desk has zero empathy whether you took time off work to attend this appointment. My son's pharmacy has to fax a request for prescription multiple times to get filled an the only way to get a response is to send a message thru their portal. If you as a patient needs medication to stabilize you, make sure you have 2 weeks supply as the lifestance health system is inadequate. I am only giving this more than 1 star because my son had been a patient of Dr Ladia for a long time and I don't think she has a choice. But yay new fancy office in Rancho Bernardo will never make up for the lack of empathy the front office has!
