Our wedding would never have happened without Saundra. We worked with her for just over a year on planning and coordination, and she made sure all of our bases were covered every step of the way. However, the excellence of her service truly shone through during the last week of our working together. Just three days before our wedding, we suffered a tragic loss in our family. I wanted to write this much earlier but alas, the post-wedding duties seem to take longer than expected. Saundra, thanks for everything!!! I found I do x Two on Weddingwire.com, the site I used to help me plan my wedding. My now husband and I were looking for someone who was nondenominational but still incorporated spirituality. We're not religious people and our venue was unconventional; we wanted someone to really capture our spirit. We met with Saundra to get an initial vibe before booking her service. She was very accommodating to our busy work schedules by coming out the SF during the week. During that meeting, we almost immediately felt a connection. We hired Reverend Saundra for our UC Berkeley Botantical Gardens wedding last year in a somewhat unusual situation. We had actually arranged for a dear friend of ours to perform the ceremony, but we were not certain that he would be able to show up at the wedding because of his personal circumstance. So, we asked Rev. Saundra to help us craft the ceremony, to show and up be prepared to perform the ceremony, but to also be OK with NOT performing the ceremony. This was a lot to ask of someone, and we're still a little embarrassed that we asked this of her! She was gracious, understanding, helpful and very conscientious. When our pal did actually show up and officiated at our ceremonry, Saundra gracefully transitioned into a kind of coordinator. Our pal didn't even know that she was present in case he couldn't make it... Rev. Saundra met with us twice, helped us structure and write the ceremony, asked all the right questions to get us thinking, and prepared the little binder that we used for the ceremony. We think she did other things too on the day-of, like guiding folks around and coordinating the musicians and florist - we were just too busy to take note of it all! She listened closely to our desires, and really kept the wedding focused on the things we wanted. My wedding was held at a private (and beautiful!) home, and on the day, I've since learned that there were a few glitches, including people moving things from our staging area to other places in the home, causing Saundra additional work. The thing that is most impressive to me about that added stress was that I had no idea it was happening. Saundra stayed cool and collected, and handled each situation on her own, which allowed my husband and me to enjoy ourselves, spend time with our guests, and focus on eachother.
