Took car to this business in mid-March for a water pump replacement, was quoted the best price…read moresince my parents used him for easier work, and I agreed to pay him cash so he could keep the records "off the books". The water pump was originally diagnosed at another big name repair shop and was the only problem with vehicle. I deliver food for a living and use my car a lot, It ran perfect when I dropped car off to him. Since it was probably the original timing belt, it only made sense to replace that and the tensioner as well. After 4 days to complete this 8 hour book time job, I get my car back... Before leaving his parking lot I point out to him the car is idling very high, shaking and running very loud. He informed me everything was fixed. After driving it out of the lot I immediatey notice lack of power and acceleration and call him the following day. He said it's safe to drive but bring it back after my work week. 2nd visit- He diagnosed the problem, he installed the timing belt wrong... He admitted to installing it wrong. Claimed to fix it and said car runs fine now.. I go to pick up my car, and guess what ? Still doesn't run properly. He told me to drive it, and bring it back later that week, 3rd visit - He installed timing belt wrong again and admitted to doing so... He supposedly fixed it again. Go to pick up car, doesn't accelerate. 4th visit - He said there's now engine problems and said I need to pay to get that fixed, despite the fact he told me to drive my car with a messed up timing belt. During the time the timing belt was off, in order to gain any acceleration my car would go up to 4-5k RPM, idle high, now switch gears, MPG on fuel gauge was down 3-4 mpg. After supposedly fixing the engine, I show up at his shop, after 3-4 weeks without my car due to improper installations and lack luster work. I was told the car was fixed and he "got it up to 70 Mph on the highway"... Guess what folks ? Same problem as the first time he gave me the car back. After my test drive on this visit, I go into his business and tell him it still isn't right... He demands I leave his business, won't refund my money, won't fix the problems he created that is supposed to be under warranty, refuses to give me final receipts on what he supposedly replaced in the engine, he dodges our phone calls. I'm out $750 and have a car that runs terribly. Quite possibly the worst $200 I ever saved. My cars performance was perfect prior to him "working" on it, avoid this business at all cost ! He has cost me thousands of dollars in missed work, the money payed to him, borrowing other people's cars, needing rides... If I could rate this business at 0 stars, I would.
