This review is for their used parts only. Good selection, good organization. Some of the parts are tagged for easy identification.

I have been fixing my own vehicles for over 25 years, and without places like this it would much,…read moremuch more difficult and probably too expensive to do so. I like the atmosphere and customer service here compared to other yards, (which feel are a bit hostile or sketchy at times) and the prices are here are reasonable if you can spend the time and don't mind getting dirty. You do need tools, though, lots of tools. They have heavy duty carts for you to pull tools and parts through the yard, plus gantry cranes for pulling engines. They seem to get new inventory in quite often, so I recommend checking in to the yard once a week even just to look around. They have an organized price menu that you can take home which helps you make decisions better as to how you fix your vehicle. The people at the front desk are professional and patient, considering the variety of clientele you might expect to stroll into a salvage yard.

I am EXTREMELY angry and disappointed with the way my nephew was treated at this junkyard…read more My nephew goes to this junkyard regularly. On Saturday, October 3rd, he was there looking for items to fix up his car when he accidentally lost his car keys. He immediately informed an employee named Mori/Rich about what happened. Because the business was closing, Rich told him that he could leave his vehicle there overnight and return Sunday morning to look for his keys. My nephew trusted what the employee told him and left his vehicle there, fully intending to return first thing Sunday morning. When he came back Sunday morning, he found out that the OWNER, LARRY, had his vehicle TOWED. Not only was the vehicle towed, but when my nephew tried to address the situation, Larry was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Instead of trying to resolve the situation with a customer, he was swearing on the phone, telling him to "get the f*** on," "get the f*** out of here," and basically saying that if he had a problem, he should call the police. EXCUSE ME?! What kind of business operates like this? How can an employee tell a customer that his vehicle can remain overnight, only for the OWNER to turn around and have the vehicle towed without properly communicating with the customer? Now my nephew is out $240 just to get his vehicle out of the pound because of this situation. And after all of that, the only thing Rich could offer was 10% off his next purchase. A 10% discount does absolutely NOTHING to address the $240 expense my nephew is now stuck with. Customers are the reason businesses exist. Without customers, LARRY would not have a business to run. There is absolutely NO excuse for treating a paying customer this way, especially someone who regularly supports your business. I am beyond disappointed in the way this was handled, and I will absolutely be sharing this experience with people in Joliet and anyone else who has ever considered doing business with this junkyard. If this is how the OWNER treats customers, people deserve to know before they spend their hard-earned money there. LARRY, you should be ashamed of the way you handled this situation.

I bought a transmission from this seller on eBay because their listing claimed it was "tested and…read moreguaranteed." That statement turned out to be completely false. After receiving it, I paid a professional shop $1,600 to install the transmission. Immediately, it was obvious the unit was bad -- it wouldn't shift correctly and was slipping. It was clearly defective and should never have been sold as "tested." Because of their false advertising, I had to get another transmission and pay another $1,200 in labor to replace the junk they sent me. Their so-called "guarantee" is meaningless, and their claims of testing are misleading at best. This cost me an extra $1,200 out of pocket in labor alone, not to mention the time, hassle, and vehicle downtime. Buyers beware -- don't trust the "tested and guaranteed" claim. It cost me thousands to learn that lesson.

Great people to deal with Fast easy no problems…read more Very happy and satisfied I got my moneys worth

I felt that I had been scammed. Over the phone they said, they would give me $600.00 for my car…read more When the tow truck came I thought it was unusual that there was no business name or phone number on it nor did it have any plates on it. Tow truck driver hooks up car and takes pictures under it. He takes picture of title and my divers license. He says, we have to wait for the company to receive pictures. We have some friendly conversation. Then he looks at his phone and says, the price is determined by the fact that your catalytic convertor was original yours is not and you might have to pay us to take away the car. It this point I feel I been had. I told him to just leave the car. He said, we will have to charge you a $125.00 service fee. I told the driver I have been had, and I thought something was a miss when you don't have plates. He replies, yes I have plates it is in the back window of the truck. I couldn't see it. I told him that, and he goes in the truck to dig out a paper that had a picture of plate. After some talk we settled on a scrap amount of $200.00. I believe the catalytic convertor was OEM. We bought the car when it was three years old with a manufacturer warranty still available on the cat. We have never replaced it. They didn't mention over phone that price will be determined by if I have an OEM cat.
