This is a long overdue review. I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights in early June for work. I was very careful in selecting a hotel, since I did not enjoy the hotel that I stayed in last summer when I traveled to Paris for work. This Hotel had great reviews on Trip Advisor, was a fair price, and very conveniently located to where I needed to work while visiting a city so I gave it a chance, and I'm sure glad I did, because I think I've found my hotel for upcoming work trips to this beautiful city.
There were many things that I liked about this hotel. One of the best parts of my hotel experience here was the friendly service of Patrick at the front desk, he is simply the best, and went out of his way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The other people at the front desk are okay, but didn't seem to know much information or English unlike Patrick. Luckily, Patrick was there most of the time it seemed.
I stayed at the Sorbonne room, which I loved since it was on the first floor connected to the courtyard. At first I was a bit concerned about it being too loud in the courtyard, there were a few moments that it was a bit loud, but overall it was fine. I liked that I could open the windows to get fresh air, and enjoy the little courtyard view, felt like I had a cozy little apartment. It was also nice not having to take an elevator or walk through hotel hallways. The room itself is on the small side, but that is expected in Paris. Although it was small, the room was clean and modern. The lighting in the room was not the best so we had to ask for some extra little lamps. There also really isn't much space to store your clothes especially if you are staying for an extended period. We ended up just leaving our clothes in our luggage. I especially liked the shower, which was large with a nice rainfall shower. The only thing I did not like about the bathroom was the super high pressure of the sink that could spray water everywhere if you were not careful.
I especially like the little thoughtful touches of this place to ensure their guests feel special and well taken care of. After we checked in, Patrick gave us a nice towel infused with green tea to refresh ourselves after our flight, and a voucher for welcome drinks to enjoy during our stay. Also, the hotel comes with a small fridge with water, sparkling water, coke zero, and oj that is complimentary, and they refill it every day. Who does that?! I thought it was such a nice touch of this hotel to provide these complimentary beverages that most hotels normally charge a lot for.
I also loved the location of this hotel, so many cute shops and places to eat in this area. It's not too touristy either, seems to be more locals going to and from work in this area. There is also a grocery store nearby, and you can see the Eiffel Tower walking to and from the hotel.
I hope to be able to stay here again soon, and I highly recommend this place. read more
