I had an absolutely fabulous stay at this rather charming boutique hotel...
I ate at the restaurant for dinner. I drank the wine. I stayed two nights. I used the complimentary wifi. I indulged in the breakfast. I drank loads of coffee, tea and water. I smiled at the staff. They smiled back. I basically lived here for 2 days with no irritation... in fact, none at all. All this to say: I really experienced this place, and feel quite confident in recommending it as a quiet place to recharge, relax and prepare for your Parisian adventures.
The staff: every single person I met flew in the face of the French stereotypes I've heard all my life. They were polite, courteous, efficient and friendly. They welcomed me back. They were really quite wonderful...even managing to find a pair of socks and a (new!) scarf I'd left behind in the room, wherein they attached it to my suitcase I had checked in their luggage room so I would not forget them.
I suggest getting the "room rate" with breakfast. Its a simple (but nice) assortment of breads, croissants, jams, hams, cheeses, butters, cereal and hot tea/coffee. The restaurant is also quite lovely -- we had dinner when we arrived and the meals were prepared well, my Cesar Salad being one of the best I've had in my life. Real, huge anchovies!? Rest easily.
The rooms are standard size by European standards but very well done. Hardwood floors (why don't more places do this!?) with updated decor, a small desk, rain shower, large bed, comfy linens, large windows and everything spotless.
Will definitely stay again...! read more
