The staff was very friendly and helpful and you can't beat the location, a few minutes walk from the Hotel de Ville (and the metro station at the Hotel de Ville) and just a few more minutes from the Seine and Notre Dame. We stayed in the cheapest room, which was small but a good value for what we paid. If you're the type of person who needs to hold onto a bar to get in and out of the bathtub this might not be your place, because it can be a little challenging. That's the only thing that I felt mildly uncomfortable about. For 5 euros you get a very filling breakfast, with coffee, juice, fruit, a selection of croissants (including chocolate croissants, yum!), scrambled eggs, cold cuts, yogurt, apple sauce, etc. There's a little grocery store next door if you need anything. The Marais is a great part of town, super-safe, full of trendy restaurants and fashionable stores. Lots of history to the area too, going back to the Knights Templar, if you're into that. read more
