The room I booked was advertised with air conditioning, yet the temperature soared to 80 degrees Fahrenheit (26 degrees Celsius), making it extremely uncomfortable. Despite the unbearable heat, the staff was unhelpful and outright refused to offer any meaningful accommodation or a refund. Upon check-in, I was initially offered a room overlooking the atrium where guests have breakfast, which I refused due to privacy concerns. The response from the manager, Arnaud, was incredibly unprofessional, informing me that I was out of luck and even threatening to call the police over the room dispute. The rooms were not only small but also poorly decorated. Not to mention the room I was assigned #227 had an awful bathroom door. The door slammed shut and the door knob smashed me in the arm leaving a severe black and blue mark (see attached Photo). Despite its prime location, the overall experience was a nightmare. The hotel itself felt outdated and poorly maintained, with a dark, unwelcoming lobby that resembled a dungeon, and a pool that looked nothing like the advertised photos. I am suing this hotel and will find a way to get my money back! If they cant pay me back, then they can pay for the litigation costs which will be well over the $500 I am deserved as a refund. It's great to have over 100 lawyer friends in all different countries! Game on Best Western Cannes! You will pay!!!!

The staff handled it very smoothly, and professional acknowledgment, which I appreciated. The suite itself was spacious, clean, and well laid out, with a separate living area and a terrace that had a partial sea view. Not over-the-top flashy, but very comfortable and exactly what you'd want on the Riviera. Location is honestly one of the biggest highlights. You're right on the Croisette, steps from the beach, restaurants, and boutiques. It made it easy to just walk everywhere and really enjoy Cannes without overplanning anything. Service throughout the stay was consistently good. Housekeeping was attentive without being intrusive, and the front desk team was helpful whenever I had questions. The rooftop pool area is also worth mentioning great spot to relax, especially later in the afternoon when it's less crowded. All in all, the upgrade definitely made the stay more memorable, and I'd come back especially if traveling as a Bonvoy platinum member where those perks can really elevate the experience.

For example, it is extremely tight to get to the side of the bed against the wall, and the bathroom wall protrudes out, making the room feel even smaller than it is. Very limited space for large luggage and the floor (carpet) and cloth covered shelving around the room felt dirty. Again, they have nice amenities so if you won't be spending too much time in your room, this hotel will do. They have complimentary coffee, pastries, and fruit throughout the day. They also offer a breakfast in the mornings but it is not included in your room rate. There is a nice rooftop patio where we spent most of our time in the hotel when we weren't in the room. Unfortunately, they don't let you drink your own wine out on the patio so we had to bring it back to our room. If you are arriving or departing Cannes by the train station, the biggest upside of this hotel is that it is literally right next to the train station. There's also a Starbucks near the entrance and several bakeries across the street. Out of the four hotels we stayed at in France, Okkos was the most disappointing but it was also the most affordable. Cannes is also a relatively smaller city compared to Nice or France, so we had a lot more time to relax at our hotel. Looking back, I probably would have paid for a nicer hotel knowing we would want to spend more time in our room, especially in a city like Cannes

The towels in the room smelled like detergent and the fridge didn't really work. The minibar/fridge couldn't be opened because the door was right next to the bed, there were mirrors everywhere and weird finishes in the bathroom. The last day of our stay we had to get the breakfast at the hotel - which was really sad - and it costs 15 euro!!! So not worth it. But since we were leaving early, we couldn't go out and get something because everything was closed. The breakfast room= sad (and weird decor). A coffee machine. Dry bread and no real fresh options (like fresh fruit). For the very high price of 15 euro a head - the standard was quite disappointing. In comparison, you can go out and get a delicious breakfast with fresh juice, fresh croissant/bread, omelette/eggs, coffee and butter, jam etc. for 9-10 euro. You are right in the middle of everything... beach on one side and Old Town Nice on the other. Our room overlooked Old Town and the patio was amazing for people watching. We were also very close to the Flower Market....a "must do" if you're visiting! Inside the room was small and very European. The bed was a loft bed with stairs leading to it. The room was definitely older and compact but it had everything we needed. Service staff downstairs was very accommodating. There is also a nice water refill station. Overall, a convenient place for our stay! **PRO TIP- downstairs there is this amazing French bakery - Boulangerie Jeannot- that I will write about in another review that is simply fantastic! A must if you are staying here.

I think they may get kickbacks from the tour companies that they suggested. Our room was interesting. When you are going on long walks and excursions, or even a long day on the beach, just say no to a loft room. The room was extremely small, with a curved staircase to the bed in the loft. The stairs were quite steep, and I almost went down headfirst a few times when having to go down to the bathroom. I will say that the room was fresh and clean. The bathroom was a nice black and white tiled space, with plenty of mirrors, and good water pressure. The alleys were quite noisy at night, and air conditioning doesn't work until summer. I think they collected trash at around 3am. Who does that? Well, they do, apparently. There was no restaurant that we were told, but delivery apps work just fine. I saw pictures online of seating and breakfast items, but who knows where that was. No real amenities here, and despite being across from the beach, not many rooms appeared to have the beach view. Overall, I would consider staying again if the price was right, solely based on the location and proximity to the beach and Promenade, as well as the short drive into Monaco/Monte Carlo.

This last trip I was lucky enough to be upgraded to their suite on the top floor. Very large room, sea views, and complementary gift in my room. The staff was wonderful, very helpful in recommending places, storing my luggage after checkout, and even filling my water bottle. The hotel is mostly quiet, I did hear children running up and down the hallway, but for the most part it was quiet. There is a rooftop bar, I've not ever visited, but the hours are off. The signs say 23:00 closure, but I asked the front desk and they said 22:30 on the weekend nights I was staying there. They have convenient watering stations on each floor by the elevator for you to refill a bottle or glass, with your choice of temp and with or without gas. I'll be back in Nice and will stay here again when I return.

The hotel was in line with usual european hotels, simple and perfectly suitable. The price was very good for its spectacular location. The hotel is friendly and family operated, has 12 rooms, half of which look directly over the wonderful fountain of Place Massena. An open window provides not only a great view of the Place but soothing fountain sounds throughout the day (it does turn off late at night). We had a simple room with a double bed the first night, the room felt a bit outdated but we were perfectly happy, the typical small bathroom was at least a step up in quality. We were moved to another room for the last two nights, this time with two double beds, a larger room with a table and larger bathroom--really, more than we asked for. Free Wifi (just ask for the password) worked on laptop and iphone in both rooms, as well as out by the fountain if you wished to sit outside. The best quality is definitely the location; Place Massena is literally at your doorstep, Old Nice starts two blocks west, and the beach is just a block away as well. Busses and the tram stop very close. Perfect for time without a car, however if needed a large parking garage is under the old nice marketplace two blocks away.
