On August 28th, I had the unique opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the store firsthand while waiting in the summer heat for over an hour until help eventually arrived thanks to an outside party who stepped up for me. During this time, I interacted with one of the female clerks, who certainly left a lasting impression. While I had hoped for a little understanding and maybe the chance to call my family for assistance, I was instead treated to a display of sharp wit, snippy remarks, and a snarky tone that made it clear she had other priorities. It's not often that customer service manages to turn a simple request into such a memorable moment. In a way, I'm grateful--it's not every day you encounter staff who can show you exactly what not to expect from a neighborhood store. Her approach was so striking that it will stick with me for a long time. For anyone visiting, I'd recommend coming fully prepared, because you might not get the kind of support you're hoping for. So thank you, West Side Store, for teaching me patience, endurance in the heat, and for giving me an experience I won't soon forget. Sometimes the best lessons come disguised as customer service.

I bought some coffee and my fiancé got a cappuccino. I went to use their restroom and one bathroom was out of order and so I used their other bathroom which was kind of dirty inside and looked like it needed a little tlc. I did, however, like the location and convenience of this small convenience store and gas station and that they had a good variety of both food and drink options available for sale.
