Paul helped me fix my windows before the rain came in this weekend. Took him less than 15 minutes and didn't even charge me. Solid and trustworthy service, would definitely recommend read more

Hyperion Auto Repair is my corner garage. Everyone who works there recognizes me when I drive in and treats me respectfully, like examining the situation and discussing the problem with me is worth their while. (Which is not that common with mechanics when you're a woman!) They take care of my car wonderfully, no matter how large or small the problem, at very reasonable prices. I trust them implicitly, and wish I had known about them decades ago! read more

Amazing! Such nice people and great transparency. As a young girl I am always scared to take my car into mechanics in fears of being "girl taxed" but they didn't try to sell me anything extra. They were to the point and got my car blower motor fixed same day along with a few other small things. Will be a repeat customer for sure!! read more

I cannot recommend this place enough. When my catalytic converter was stolen, Eddie explained the issue and laid out the process for me. When I was having difficulties with my insurance, Eddie was calm and patient with me. Shout out to Justice for helping with all the administrative tasks. Whenever I called, they answered! Pricing is definitely fair (especially compared to other shops in the Silverlake area), so I would say it's an overall A+ experience and A value! Thank you thank you thank you to everyone at Hyperion Auto Repair! read more

Your neighborhood go-to car repair is one of the hardest things to find. This is mine. I found them when I moved to Silver Lake over three years ago and come here for everything. The team is so kind, honest, efficient and professional. Their services are well-priced and affordable. Definitely give them a try next time you're needing any car repairs or even oil changes! read more

I went to see Eddie to get the spark plugs replaced and car coolant flushed on my car. The service was very fast and friendly! The price seemed very reasonable. I would definitely recommend. read more

I just got my car back home after it had gotten the window smashed, the lock mechanism broken, and the ignition messed up. The mechanic said he never saw anything like this before: the thief realized they couldn't steal the car, so they tried to put everything back in place (they didn't do a great job, but they tried). The total cost of labor and replacing the window was $932.10, which was better than I expected. Three people had to get my car back in order and it was basically complete in 3 hours. I got a couple of great tips too. He said I should check for any safety recalls my car might need, and also get an anti theft device for my steering wheel. Done and done! Thank you Jesse from Hyperion Auto for the fast and excellent work! read more

My boyfriend and I have each had a couple visits here over the last 18 months or so, and we've been really pleased with the service. After having such terrible experiences at the local dealerships, we were so grateful to find an honest, reasonably priced local shop to work on our cars. Recently, I got a complete service (oil change, tire rotation, etc)...and about a week later, I went on a road trip and some wood fell off the back of a truck in front of me and hit my car. I brought it down to Hyperion, Eddie & the guys gave me a complete inspection for FREE! You can't get anything in LA these days for free lol. read more

Great interaction, super friendly staff. They took me in right away, diagnosed the next morning! Even though they don't specialize in what I needed for my old Range Rover, Eddie was nice enough to not charge me a diagnostic and got me on my way with advice. read more

Eddie is the best, my neighbor mentioned this place to me and after the dealership quoted me an outrageous amount for brakes, belts, engine mount and a bunch of other things I didn't need. Eddie gave me a fair quote explained all the work was in touch with me the whole way though and had car back the next day. 10 out of 10!! read more

So happy I've found my neighborhood auto shop. Every single person was so wonderful and helpful throughout the entire experience of getting my car fixed. Dylan the owner called me personally to update me on progress and Eddie was genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met, I trust them both so much which is hard to find. They had my car completely fixed and back on the road within a few hours. I would definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends !! read more

So my engine went out because I forgot to check the oil and i ran my car to the ground. To say that these gentlemen took care of me is an understatement. They gave me an amazing price for the replacement engine and had it ready in leas then a week. Super grateful because I didn't have to buy a NEW car especially with the issues of supply chain. Only place i have my car repaired at. Recently changed my axle because my car would make some screeching noises on my turns.Sometimes there is a long wait but it's worth it! read more

I read some reviews and used Eddie and the gang on a whim for complete brakes and rotors for my Chevy Suburban. They diagnosed and completed the job to perfection on the same day I brought it in. I will definitely be using them again! read more

"Huge thanks to Hyperion Auto Repair for their outstanding work on my car! JENNIFRR in the front desk is very friendly and explains everything throughly. If you are coming here due to your check engine light on - get ready to spend $$$$. I spent over 800 dollars, only to have my check engine light on come on the very next day. I called the shop and said I would bring it back. And lo and behold, another $1200 for issues that "Did not come up". Are you kidding me? I may be a a single woman but I am no idiot. Eddie gave me another whole list of issues totaling to this amount. I politely declined the service, and told him the issue I brought you to fix is now just coming up? And not a few days ago when I paid you $800?" When I picked up my car before closing, it wasn't even ready. I was truly astounded by the shops behavior to be so careless, as I was very transparent and clear with Eddie that I was not agreeing to his services. He was more stressed about retuning the parts he "purchased". This place is all bad vibes, do not come here. Specially if you're a woman coming alone. I am so glad I was able to discern his behavior and politely walk away. read more

Tried to get me to pay $140 to run a check engine light machine after already overcharging me for a PPI where he lied about several things. I called him out on how that should have been included & he then offers to do it for free. No way I'd trust these guys to touch my car. I have a feeling they try to scam women who come in & don't seem to know car stuff. Glad my brother is a mechanic & told me that was wrong. Just watch out if you go here. read more

This place is concerning. Low quality work. Every time the car comes back, my family has to return the car because they didn't fix something completely. Also, paint is peeling off 1 day back! They attempted to repair it and now there is a clump of paint, textured on where the paint peeled off, and they claim that is the best they can do. read more

I took my Honda Pilot to get some auto body and mechanical work done. I was really happy and satisfied with the work. if you are looking for honest and professional mechanics, these are your people. This is my first time at Hyperion Auto, and they made a commitment to take me in and take care of me and get me out of there super quick. Eddie was super understanding and helpful over the phone and Nick worked on my car and did an amazing job! I'm definitely a fan of Hyperion Auto now and will be back again. Highly recommend, they do not disappoint! Thank you Eddie, Alex and the team! read more

The trio of owners are delightful. They make the experience of handing over your automobile to the mechanic doctors feel painless. They have fair prices on labor and obviously have decades of experience fixing up all kinds of automotive issues. When I was shopping around for mechanics I compared this shop to chain auto repair shops and found these folks to be much more compassionate, individual-oriented, human, and invested in customer care. The chain auto repair shops offer a fixed-frame snapshot that is billed as economical but is actually insufficient to properly deal with the nuances of each individual vehicle. I also compared this place to another highly-rated small-business auto repair shop that was more conveniently located to me. Yet again I went with Hyperion, because they were equally sharp with their diagnosis of the problem yet more solicitous....and $400 cheaper. I was dropped home by one of the owners who went out of his way as I was at a distance. I would say, read the other reviews which demonstrate that people are coming from distances to have their car worked on here. I would say as well, there are benefits to shopping around for car diagnoses and then comparing costs. Some mechanics offer a comprehensive diagnosis which identify and grade issues from urgent to less pressing. I didn't get that kind of an evaluation here, but I did elsewhere. So it's always worth a "second opinion". That's just me doing due diligence. I don't think you'll be led astray here once you've identified what you want to have done to your vehicle. The only downside is that Hyperion Avenue is dangerously engineered and it is quite difficult to slow down without fearing that you will be rear-ended as you approach this shop. As well, it is hard to pull out when cars are screaming by. This is LA, you learn to deal with the risks I guess. read more

I've been meaning to write a review since the end of '2022. Hyperion Auto Repair worked on my car during the mos. of Nov & Dec last year. ALEX, GABBY, EDDIE & (My Apologies I can't remember everyone's name) but the mechanics, all of them are Good Dude's & I mean that in the Sincerest way possible. I had a few things done to my '2001 yr old car & they fixed it & it's running like new. I had a valve job amongst other things but that was the biggest repair. They even observed & took care of smaller issues like my windshield wipers were worn out & my radiator cap was rusted & my driver side door needed help. I'm an older woman & they looked out for details I didn't pay attention to that could've proved risky. THANk YOU FELLAS'! Los Feliz is a pricey neighborhood but they were fair considering. I'm not getting paid to write this review. I Honestly & sincerely like these guys. They are open & honest in my opinion. Good Men! They get my Vote, I'm a Fan & A Happy Woman. read more

As a 73 years old retiree. I can no longer afford to buy a brand new car. So I kept and drive 2 Older Vehicles. A 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan and a 2006 Honda Civic. As Older Vehicle/s they tend to have different issues more often. Fortunately an acquaintance mentioned to me, - Hyperion Auto Repair. I initially went there for the first time on October 2023 with issues on my Honda Civic. Thereafter, I also brought my Dodge Caravan with different problems. I can tell you I am very satisfied with their work on both Vehicles. 5 out of 5. Usually I don't like recommending Auto Repair Shops to others, who ask me, because I will get embarrass, if they do a sloppy job. But not this time. Try them out. Also they do honor the warranty they give you. My Service Advisor is Eddie. read more

I'm now a loyal fan!!! I usually go to ikonic, but they closed, so then I started going to expensive hi tech. They're fine, but didn't have any appointments for the week i needed work done and thank god--or I never would have tried this place. I was headed on a long road trip and needed a ton of work on my BMW. I'd been planning the trip for almost 6 months, so i took my car into 3 different places over the time span and the quotes ranged from $3-$4k (oil, rear +front brakes, new tires, etc etc, 17 different items), so I pushed spending the money off til after the holidays, then after the new year... all of a sudden, my trip was two weeks away!! Can you believe I got my ten year old car completely fixed up at Hyperion for under $2k!!! To be fair, he gave me a break on labor, but even still, every item that needed replacement was $20-$50 less than all the other quotes I had received. On a European car-- Amazing! Turns out one guy used to work at ikonic, so I completely trust their skills. Can't wait to hit the road! read more

I am at my wits end. I've been using this place for around 3 years and recently the service has become abysmal. I told them my engine coolant indicator was low and there was something wrong with my air conditioning. I also repeatedly asked them to tell me what the high pitched noise coming from my car is. I Said this right to Eddy's face. I pick up my car(late, because their phones no longer work and they couldn't bother to use other means to contact me), and the car is still making the noise. I turn around and beg them to fix the issue. The other guy in the office says it's related to the air-conditioning and it's my fault for not telling them about the air conditioning. He basically called me a liar by saying I never mentioned the air-conditioning! It's offensive and an outrageous way to treat a long-term customer. I was told that it's my job to diagnose all of the issues with my car. I had to explain to him that I'm not a mechanic and I mentioned the issue already. They finally fixed the issue but only because I was sitting right there in the car when they fixed it. Reporting anything about the car is like talking to a brick wall. They don't answer direct questions. They try to avoid them and rush you out the door. I don't know if they aren't taking down notes or if the mechanics just don't read them but the issue you come in for isn't addressed. And guess what? My low coolant indicator is still popping up! I called back twice and was told to bring the car back and that they didn't properly inspect the car the first time. That maybe it's a small leak that they didn't look for. That was the whole reason I brought the car in! They admitted they did a poor job. That it doesn't concern the owner that his employees can get on the phone and admit that they didn't address the issue is deeply concerning. Instead of looking at the issue I specifically addressed, I was called a liar and they tried to sell me brakes and shocks. This place is moving real shady lately, it's a shame. I will be finding another shop, hopefully with workers who aren't biased against single women and actually take our concerns seriously. read more

I came from Ventura and they replaced my catalytic converter . They did a great job thanks guys

First time customer in for an oil and filter change. Friendly, straight forward service. No unexpected repair recommendations (wasn't expecting any). Did the job well at a good price. Seemed to be a lot of regulars bringing their cars in. Always a good sign. I will be back in 5K miles. read more

Hyperion is honest and they stand by their work. They are currently rebuilding my Chevy Cruze engine after it cracked a piston. My Vehicle was towed in. I ran a test with an obd reader before hand and gave them the results. Needed a new pedal and pedal sensor. Told me they had to run their own test to make sure, okay. Ran their test and came to their conclusion that will fix the problem of my pedal not responding to me pressing on the gas. Agreed to pay to what I believed what will fix my problem. Just a month or two later my pedal again stops responding on the freeway. When I called back to tell them what happened they said they couldn't find the issue. So basically they just "fixed" some random things that had nothing to do with the main issue. Went to another mechanic and told me I needed a new pedal system. I just thank God I'm still here and nobody was hurt. Mechanics need training and lack knowledge! read more

If there were 10 stars I would give them 20!!! My daughter was told by a large national chain that her brakes were bad and she should NOT drive the car. Me being suspicious and 3,000 miles away, I sent her to see these guys after reading reviews. And guess what...brakes in perfect order! Honest and trust worthy is in short supply these days. You are quality people who were raised right! You guys give mechanics a good name! We will be customers for life. Thanks guys!!!! read more

Lifesavers! Noticed a weird noise when I hit my brakes, brought my Jeep in at 7:30 am on the dot .. not even an hour later, I had a summary of the problem and an estimate. The estimate was great. Very appreciative.. and though I hope to not have to return, I know where I'll be going for all things auto related. Thank you!!! read more

My AC died to the point where when I turned it on - the entire car went dead. Good times... These guys are THE BEST! Wow. So far I have been extremely impressed with Hyperion Auto Repair. I had such an inconveniently timed accident with my car getting side swiped when it was parked and a friend recommended I just drop it at Hyperion Auto before the Thanksgiving holiday. They were communicative and clear with every step of the process and the estimate and always kept me in the loop. They were so patient with me as I tried to figure out my insurance and even helped me streamline the process in a way that made it so I will get my car back in a timely manner. I feel very confident in this body shop and will definitely recommend them. What a sigh of relief. Thanks again. read more

I really hate bringing in my car for any type of tune-up, but my poor Honda got damaged from another punk trying to steal my catalytic converter. I brought my car in to get fixed and while I was there, Gabby also did a whole inspection and tune-up, including fixing a broken window that needed a new regulator and casing. I was relieved by the final cost for fixing up and replacing old parts, because Eddie charged a fair price and explained everything to keep me informed. I'm going to recommend them to my friends whenever they need a repair because I like supporting reliable, friendly independent businesses. read more
