Absolutely phenomenal experience…read more I was in the Savannah area for work for a few months and decided to have Jarred help me with my fitness goals. Jarred is an amazing trainer. He keeps all of your physical abilities and goals in mind as he custom designs a fitness program and adapts to your progress. No workout was ever the same as the previous one, always pushing the envelope and getting results. I lost over 20 lbs of pure fat in just 12 weeks and maintained all of my strength and muscle gains. I got much stronger and more confident week by week. All of this without injuring my back (back surgery previously). Jarred is an extremely rare trainer, who listens to your feedback, provides an active program and guides you through the entire process from start to finish. I would highly recommend Tidewater Fitness to anyone looking for a true professional trainer.

I expressed my apprehension with exercising and that it had the potential to make my condition worse-- Jarred took it very seriously and was quick to check in and make sure that I was doing okay every step of the way. I later went to a PT therapy with the Mayo Clinic and they were astounded at my progress- all thanks to Tidewater!

While the equipment is…read morecertainly tailored to powerlifters and strongmen, almost anyone can get a workout in here (don't come in expecting to see treadmills or cardio machines). The gym offers real competition equipment designed for elite athletes. The owners are super cool, very accommodating, and I don't know where I would be as a competitive powerlifter without them.

I tried this stretching program for the first time and experienced immediate results from my first…read moresession! I will preface this review that this was a free introductory session they offered for a limited time. THE PROCESS You lay on the table and the stretching coach does all the work to stretch you out. They strap you onto the table so they can pull on you without pulling you off the table. There is one stretch where they grab the arm on other side of table and then pull that arm across to twist you sideways at the hip....OMG....that was my favorite! It stretches your arm, shoulder, core, hip and leg all at once. ATMOSPHERE There is one large room with multiple tables. You are being stretched while other people are being stretched. Since this was my first visit, I wasn't nearly as flexible as some people there. It was truly impressive to see how far the coaches could fold back the legs of some of those clients! RESULTS AFTER ONE SESSION I immediately felt different when I walked. My hips and lower back were loosened up! It was truly amazing! Without repeated stretching the muscles tighten back up. They recommend a 12 week program where you come once, twice or three times per week. The per-visit cost is less when you sign up for more visits per week. TIPS - Wear loose clothing that will allow you to stretch. This is not the time to wear your tight jeans or restrictive shirt. - You can split a program between two people. For example, a couple both can purchase a program to visit twice per week to save a little cash, while each person uses one of the two visits per week. STRETCHING VS MASSAGE They don't offer massage but I compare since some people get a massage to loosen up their muscles. The stretching feels good but it's not relaxing like a massage. However, I found the results from one stretching session to be more productive for loosening up the body than massage. COST I found the cost to be less than a massage, but I don't get massages weekly. I didn't opt to continue the program because I couldn't afford it personally. However for those that are able, I believe you will get good results from a 12 week program! Only reason I gave it 4 stars was that I found it to be priced a little more than most can afford.
