I'm not a big acai bowl person, but going to Mamaka bowls hits every time. Their menu offers a…read morevariety of flavors for those who prefer fruity/non-fruity bowls, and any of their bowls can be made into a smoothie if you want. This specific visit I tried the Espressyo Self bowl, and it was super filling with good flavors that weren't overpowering. I also appreciate how none of the bowls I've had here had that watery/icy texture that you find in lower quality bowls/smoothies. There's no AC (it's a walk-up and order type of place), but there is plenty of outdoor seating for days where the weather is nice. The parking is also a pain since their main lot is super limited, so you'll likely have to find parking and walk a little which is the same for all of the businesses in that area.

The tiny lot behind the house-like building is easy to miss, and the driveway isn't very visible, so keep an eye out as you approach. The menu centers around smoothie bowls, which are fresh and flavorful. They also have tater tot breakfast tacos and some clothing swag. I had the mamaka bowl and added peanut butter. It was very light and refreshing. Service was friendly and relatively quick. Would definitely come back to try more menu items.

It's definitely family-friendly, though I wouldn't recommend it for a very large group since seating seems a bit limited. For a standard family of 3-5, though, it should work just fine. The food was genuinely excellent. They make their corn tortillas in-house, which really elevates the dishes. The salsas are fresh and flavorful -- just a heads-up: the habanero salsa is seriously spicy! If you're not used to really hot food, I'd steer clear of that one. My wife ordered the chilaquiles and she's pretty picky when it comes to authenticity and traditional flavors. She really enjoyed it overall and said the flavors were spot-on. Her only small note was that it was a bit overly sauced. That said, they were very generous with the meat, which made it satisfying and delicious. I went with the surf and turf tacos (shrimp and steak). They were really tasty -- the combination worked well, and the homemade tortillas helped tie everything together. My only minor critique is that they could have used just a touch more seasoning. I ended up adding a little salt to bring out the flavors. The one area where they could improve is the customer service. When we arrived, we were seated right away, but then we sat for about 15 minutes without anyone coming over to take our order. We actually had to get their attention, and at one point we even moved to a different table before a server finally noticed us. Once the food came out, no one really checked back on us during the meal either. The staff wasn't rude at all -- just a bit inattentive and slow on service. Overall, we'd definitely come back for the food. With a little more attention from the waitstaff, this spot could easily be a 5-star experience.

Love coming back here every time always receive the best attention! Vibes are friendly too…read more For brunch, I ordered a two scoop açai bowl with one of the scoops as coconut sorbet. Must try this it was delicious. Matcha latte of course with agave as a drink. For savory we had the rib eye al pastor tacos and they're a 9/10. They're very oily due to the al pastor but great for sharing. I'll be back of course.
