He kept in place my flagstone walkway and several existing plants. I'm converting my front yard to xeriscape. Jim listened to what I had planned for the space and catered the grading and removal based on my expectations and some. He took into consideration that I would eventually put down decomposed granite so removed soil at edges to ensure the gravel stayed in my yard. He knew exactly how much to remove His use of his machinery is done with surgical precision so he's able to remove what needs to be removed without touching anything adjacent to the work area that needs to remain. He treated my mature Afghan pine with care and preserved my existing drip/bubbler line I wanted to retain. I am so pleased with the results which exceeded my expectations. I will use Blue Horizon Excavating for all my future projects. Jim is just the best. He is responsive and provides recommendations to make your project a success. It also helps that he is very easy to talk to. I know very little about converting a lawn to xeriscape, I'm a complete novice. We did have an appointment set for a consultation at noon and at 12:40 ish I called him as no one showed up. He tired to reschedule for later that day at 3/4pm but that didn't work for me so he said ended up coming out within the hour. He also told me he wasn't licensed which is a huge liability for the home owner. We are doing an entire backyard Reno with a decent budget so it wasn't that our job wasn't worth while. Updated: i'm genuinely sorry for the loss of your family member! I would hope though that communication would still remain open as a simple text message to update me would have taken less than a minute and much faster than the time you took to respond on here. - i'm not mad at all so I'm not sure why you put that in your response but when I was searching for other contractors, yelp, put your company right in front of me and asked me to review it. It wasn't something that I sought out. So I left an honest review of my experience. I completely agree with other contractors being licensed and having horrible reviews. Your reviews looked great, which is why I called you in the first place. Great craftsmanship/ reviews or not, a homeowner is still liable if someone on the job gets injured and that could have potential to ruin someone's life in a lawsuit. It Has nothing to do with the quality of work but just liability in general. The only thing that was questionable is how long you've been in business and are just now getting your license. That didn't really add up to me, but I wish you guys the best truly and sorry again for your loss

He arrived on time and he sent me a price within a couple of days. I know he's busy which tends to happen when you do good work so I told him, quote approved, let's make it happen! That next Saturday his guys did demo, gate door fix (our last landscaper did a shoddy job that Albert fixed for me), dirt and rock haul off, grading. Then couple days later, Monday his crews poured our driveway extension. Beautiful joint layout and great work. I paid 50% on day 1 and 50% after his guys finished. Professional level work too.

After looking at couches we checked out the dining room tables. As we were discussing one we liked, Tim (possibly manager, we're not certain) began shooting the breeze with us. Everything was very casual and it was almost like catching up with an old buddy. Nobody judged us for how we were dressed or for our tattoos etc., nobody was disrespectful, all 3 employees we encountered were incredibly kind and very genuine. Our beautiful new table will arrive Tuesday and we will DEFINITELY buy our couch from these guys!

Resco Group obviouslly has major leadership issues and if they are not able to get their administration ducks in a row then I can just imagine how poor their service is. Be aware and don't trust this contractor that has a tendancy to misrepresent. False advertising is illegal!!! Thanks!

We were away some of the time, they were very respectful of the use of a lock box and keeping the worksite and home clean and safe. Resco uses a great online app so that customers can see and comment on daily activities, pictures of work progress were posted, with names of the work person. Change orders were able to be done online quickly and accurately. They published a schedule on this app and kept to their schedule, explained the work fully and we are super-happy with Resco. My expectations were high and it came out exactly as I wanted it. I would love to do any project with this group. Highly recommended. Sharon Basse
