There is a huge selection of fruit and veg - strangely at better prices than you could get at Queen Vic Market. Some of the quality seems to be a bit hit and miss though. For example, the bags of onions were sprouting. Sprouting onions aside... I really liked the fact that you could also pick up cheeses and pantry staples, such as dried beans, oils, tinned tomatoes ect. WIN. Perfectly good little local greengrocer.

This butcher makes raw meat look so appetizing thanks to its clean displays. All meats are wrapped up in glad wrap and the display cabinet is kept simple and clean (no pink juices in sight), and it doesn't smell here either! They sell a good selection of fresh meats (mostly beef and lamb), they also have an amazing variety of pre marinated meats- such as bbq ribs, honey soy, herb encrusted and much more. Makes dinner easy as pie (they also sell family sized pies). This butcher is quite dear compared to other places, but the quality of the meat is very high so I suppose you pay for what you get.

And when Bambra Deli finally reopened, loyal customers swamped the place like bees to honey. I recall my own excitement as I passed by and saw the lights on inside. Instinctively, I parked the car and headed in to grab some fresh bread, homemade tuna salad spread, egg salad spread and a jar of pickled purple cabbage. The great thing about this little gem of a find, is even though it stocks all the regular essentials like bread, milk and juice, it also carries a fine selection of gourmet style produce.
